My girlfriend has been struggling for a long time with placing shopping and items in the basket on the front of her bike. Front baskets look very chic & ladylike, however they have a big impact on steering & make the bike a lot harder to maneuver!Her bike had a rear carrier already & by the description it suggested that this should simply be able to clip straight on. It was - on the side it has metal clips that allow it to be slid on and off easily onto the carrier.The fact that the design is so nice, is a huge plus for any lady, as they can use it as a shopping bag - it doesn't look like those hideous old fashioned panniers you could buy from Halfords or Argos!My girlfriend feels very proud to carry this into town on a shopping trip - which more and more she is making the journey on her bike as its so much nicer than driving, trying to find a parking spot but also with the cost of petrol!!!The other comments about the stitching & waterproofing we have not seen. She uses it probably 2 or 3 times commuting to London (leaving the bike at our local train station & taking the bag to London) & there are no signs of wear and tear.This bag would have got a 5 star rating from me, aside from the price. When we purchased I think we paid about £26 for it - and we went for the cheapest one with the nicest design of the cheapest options. But at £40 it is cynically overpriced ahead of christmas time & would not recommend at that price.If you are thinking of buying, then I would recommend waiting until the price is more realistic - around £25 - at £40 it is very overpriced. My girlfriend would love to get a 2nd bike bag to place on the other side of the carrier, but at £40 its not going to be in her stocking!!!

I have so many compliments for this bag and it does hold enough. I find it very useful for trips into Cambridge for shopping and if I need to get things from the local food shop but it is not my bag of choice for the commute. I have to walk through two train stations with a ten minute walk to my desk without my bike and by then the handles really hurt the hands. I am also very conscious that it can be pulled from the back of the bike too. My choice of bag is from Po Campo sadly not stocked as far as I know in the UK.

I have just ordered two of these bags for a Christmas present for my sister who cycles in town to do her shopping. They are amazing: perfect size, sturdy fabric, waterproof material (so will be easily wipable if dirty). They have little feet so will not be straight on the dirty ground when unclipped from the bike. They have very good, slightly padded handles so will be great for carrying the shopping. In a nutshell, I would definitely recommend this product if you are looking for a fashionable but useful bike bag!

I love this bag. It is my second one - the previous one lastest more than a year of daily use both on and off the bike- I commute to work everyday and use the bag for work and pleasure. It copes well with rain and bad weather. I often get stopped and asked where I got it from. The only improvement I would make would be to have more secure clips as there is nothing to stop people pulling it off like some bike bags have.

I have this pannier bag on my foldable commuter bike and it works very well.Two things to be aware of:- its not 100% waterproof due to the way the top closes so dont buy this if you live in wetter climes- on my folding bike the pannier frame is quite low so my foot sometimes hits the bag. You can overcome this by clipping the bag nearer to the back.Would recommend

It does perfectly the job I bought it for - transporting 'teacher stuff' (files / copybooks / laptop). It's reasonably comfortable to carry - and I do like the rigid handles as they make it dead easy to grab hold of. The bag stands up nicely on its own and attracts a decent amount of colleague attention ie 'I want one, too!'

Bought this for my sister's birthday, she's a keen commuter cyclist and loved it. Really smart design not to big and just how stylish ? Its not big and not massively water proof - so if you carry lots of stuff in all weathers best to avoid. Comes from Holland so bound to be right for the job

Stylish and practicalLove the design - always getting comments.(tip - other reviewer said bit loose - as racks come in different sizes - the metal part that the pannier slits onto can be made snugger by adding a few layers of gaffer tape )

Perfect - really cool on the back of my bike, and smart enough to take with me when I park up! Good strong clips and weatherproof too.

Thought shopping bike bags are wonderful. they go with my black and white bike, and are so handy, just shop and go, as they say.
