The Amazon reviews here are all over the place so, for the sake of clearing up confusion, this review is for the 3600 MT/s speed DDR4 PC4-28800 RAM.Ballistix RAM has served me well for many years but it was time to change my 2400MT/s speed RAM for something a little faster. The 3600 MT/s speed DDR4 PC4-28800 RAM was a perfect solution. The RAM comes in a nicely packaged sturdy box to avoid any damage. It has no instructions, you need to go online to the Ballistixgaming.com page for those, but most people who are going to want to pay for this speed RAM already know how to install it and configure it, anyway. The one useful thing on that page is the MOD software, which monitors the speed and Temperature of your RAM (as well as LED lighting for those models that support it).The RAM sticks themselves are noticeably heavy and chunky, which is good as they have a decent heat sink to dissipate the heat. The Ballistix logo is visible on both the outside and the side of the sticks, though the side logo sits the wrong way on my Motherboard to be noticeable. Now it's important to know about how RAM works alongside your PC before buying. It's notorious for not getting along with CPUs or motherboards without ensuring the Bios is up to date and Bios settings are messed around with, so most of the time you'll need to get your hands dirty before it will work properly. My setup is a ASUS Z170-P and i5-6600K with an up-to-date bios for the motherboard.I installed my RAM in slots 2 and 4 due to my watercooler pipes being in the way, which is fine and they'll work just as well. I then booted to see what would happen without changing settings (My Bios was already up-to-date). The PC booted fine and CPU-Z showed that the RAM was running at 2400Mhz which is the standard speed it defaults to.Rebooting and going into Bios, I changed my XMP profile back to Profile#1 which checked the RAM and set it to 3600 instead. I've done stress tests on the PC and it all works fine at the top speed.Overall impressions are great, another winner from Ballistix and another good reason to stay with Crucial's brand.

I'm using this RAM with a Z170 Pro Gaming motherboard and an i5 6600k processor which isn't overclocked in any way. So needless to say, this RAM absolutely flies and works fine.If you're nervous about fitting RAM to your PC don't be - it only goes in one place and only fits in the slot one way. Just take sensible static and electricity precautions, know how to boot your PC back to the BIOS if the RAM doesn't work for some reason and don't force anything into anywhere where it feels like it shouldn't go!When booting your PC after installation you can either let the memory do it's own set up, effectively, using the XMP 2.0 profile selection in your BIOS or you can set it up yourself. The RAM is best for me at a speed of 3600MHz at 1.35v with timings of 16-18-18-36.You can of course overclock this RAM, or use it in conjunction with an overclocked CPU/system but as I'm not running that way I will leave comments and reviews on it's suitability and performance whilst doing that, to others. However anecdotal evidence on various forums and review sites indicates that these sticks are good performers on both Intel and Ryzen systems.Upgrading the RAM in your PC to at least 16GB is something I highly recommend these days, as 8GB now seems to be falling out of fashion and use although, as ever, it depends entirely on what you want to do on your PC. If you're gaming or video/graphic editing then you can never really have too much RAM on a 64 bit system. These sticks are high quality, high speed and recommended almost universally by gamers and enthusiasts.

Recently, I’ve decided to upgrade most of my PC components which have been bottlenecking my gaming rig for quite some time. My plan was to purchase a motherboard supporting DDR4 RAM as I hoped to purchase higher speed memory than DDR3 could support while future proofing my system. This Ballistix Elite 3600 MT/s RAM easily covered my requirements very well. The memory arrived in a small but sturdy packaging, showcasing both sticks of RAM under a protected lip cover and plastic seal; the memory itself is quite weighty and well built. Any memory I’ve purchased in the past has been much cheaper, slower and less aesthetically pleasing than these premium sticks. I have no need for RGB lighting or any particularly fancy feature,as long as the hardware performs well, I’m pleased.Luckily this memory avoids needless design choices and instead focuses on practical functionality such as heat spread. It’s worth mentioning that my CPU cooler came very close to touching one of the sticks due to their overall height. Both sticks equate to 16GB of high speed memory which I believe to be more than enough for my everyday use. DDR4 memory is still incredibly expensive compared to DDR3 but I believe the time is right to make the leap.

Wanted to max out a Ryzen 3600 processor I'd bought - namely the Infinity Fabric bandwidth - by buying a 3600Mhz dual Ram kit. This Micron-E die based kit was on sale at the time and seemed to strike a great balance of speed, headroom, and price.Having used it for 6 months I've found them very stable at stock XMP settings (3600 profile). This gave decent 16-18-18-18 timings and worked well with all the various tasks I use the PC for, from productivity to gaming on Steam.Recently I was able to move past these stock XMP speeds and increase it to 3800 Mhz, with matching increases in Infinity Fabric, using a guide (Micron E die, memory timing cheat sheet)to help me find the most stable timings - ultimately getting timings to 16-20-12-12 and achieving over 54GB/sWould definitely recommend for anyone wanting a really easy way to get to 3600Mhz on Ryzen, and for those interested in going even higher (though above 3800 is diminishing returns with latency, at least on Zen 2)

The Crucial web site shows that my motherboard is compatible. My system is an ASUS Maximus VIII Ranger with an Intel i5-6600K CPU @ 3.50GHz, and Noctua NH-D15 CPU cooler (air) in a large Fractal Design case. With Samsung DDR4 2626MHz memory the system runs every day at 22% overclock. The Ballistix Elite would not run in dual channel with XMP 2 timings. It was changed to the channel A DIMM slots, the UEFI bios timings set to automatic, and the Samsung and Corsair Vengeance memory loaded in the channel B DIMM slots. ASUS AI Suite 3 was set for overclocking at TU1, Extreme Tuning per core and the system was stable with the CPU at 4.7GHz shown as 34% overclocked. Although the case is large, one of the Noctua CPU cooler fans was very close to the heat spreader of one of the Ballistix banks. The system runs smoothly and silently at 34% overclock, but I will change to Fast Tuning. On the Crucial web site there is a download link for the temperature monitoring software.

The kit is well presented with the RAM visible through a transparent window in the box, secured by a flip open lid with magnetic catch. The RAM sticks are kept in a plastic case until you're ready to install. The matt black heat spreaders were a good match for my black of the Asus mobo. If the 40mm height catches on the cooler, the top section of the heat-spreader can be removed to reduce the height by 6mm. Thankfully there's no RGB LED silliness.Out the box, the RAM ran fine, however the target market is gamers and overclockers. When my I5-9600K CPU arrives, I plan to use the Asus AI overclock and XMP2 support of this RAM to push the clock speed towards 5GHz and see a significant increase on the published 3600 MT/s.Crucial provide their own Memory Overview Display software to check temps as you overclock.Expensive, although not out of line with similar performance RAM, so only value for money if you have a suitable CPU/mobo and the goal of overclocking.

Not going to be a terribly good review I'm afraid. I know nothing about this item apart from what my son tells me. He is building a new computer for my lounge as my old one has had it and very old. He says this is a good enough memory for a family computer but isn't very big, he he a posh gaming computer in his room he built himself and said this memory would be ok but nothing like he would need. As far as I'm concerned I can't wait to have a new computer but there are a couple of components we still have to get so haven't put these fully to the test as my old computer was a sealed unit small silly thing and his computer he tried them in but found a larger one would be needed for him.Once my computer is up and running I shall finish my review.

The DDR4, 3600 MT/s, PC4-28800 memory (8GB x 2) is under review here. It comes in a nicely packed box with a window showing off the product details. When removed from the box, they're hefty. They slotted into my rig without ado. Clearly their heat dissipation is pretty good as I noticed no increase in temperature or fan speed even when I ran a heavily memory-intensive set of programs. At £148 a pop, this seems expensive for DDR4 memory, especially when to get the higher speed, one needs to overclock. (I'd previously paid £133 for a Corsair DDR4 last year; irritatingly that's available at 70 now.) Still, I guess a competitive gamer will shell out for bragging rights...

DDR4 running at 3600mhz CL16.Made by Crucial using micron chips.Well presented in a sturdy cardboard box proudly displaying gaming memory. The modules themselves have heavy heatsinks attached. So all good...I do question though the pricing, 3200mhz is available for less than half this price. Most systems don't support 3600 memory either except through overclocking and the gains are marginal. However if you absolutely must have the best this won't disappoint.

Recently held the world record for the fastest RAM, overclocked to 5630MHz! High quality silicone, well made heat spreaders, these are some of the fastest sticks that can be bought. Probably total overkill, but see opening statement. The heatspreaders are heavy, they're there to dissipate heat and the work very well (case ventilation permitting) Serious RAM, serious performance, no RGB here.

I bought these sticks over g.skill trident z because these were on sale and I do not regret it. They worked first time and no problems with XMP. They run really cool about 35c whilst gaming. With these sticks having Micron E-die modules I decided to overclock them and I got them down to c14 but that depends on your silicon. Overall great buy and really good paired with Ryzen.

I was deciding between two of this kit and two time 16gb rbg memory and I`m glad I chose this one.All I had to do after install to reach 3600MHz is to enable XMP profile in bios.Everything works perfect with AORUS x570 Pro and AMD 3700x.The next thing could be thinking about overclocking it but I`m kinda hesitant :P
