I needed a 1mm thermal pad to replace the torn factory pad on a Dell Inspiron 1525's chipset and this fits perfectly. After fitting this pad the chipsets idle temperature has dropped by about 10 degrees C according to Aida64. Texture wise it feels soft and squishy, just like the old Dell installed T-flex 540 pad. You'll need a sharp pair of small scissors like on a Swiss Army knife to get a clean cut, otherwise the pad could tear around the edges. I measured the old pad for this laptop to be around 20mmx16mm so I aimed for those measurements when it came to cutting a size.Unlike thermal paste where less is more you should aim for a small amount of overhang on all sides as this will prevent thepad from slowly migrating once the heatsink compresses it.Once cut to size gently remove the clear plastic from one side and seat it upon the die of the chip (reflective shiny part), try not to touch the die or exposed pad as skin oils will hinder thermal transfer. When the pad is correctly seated go ahead and remove the other piece of plastic covering it.And that's pretty much it, as the heatsink is tightened down the pad will compress and mold into shape. On my laptop the processor and chipset share the same heatsink so I had to clean up and apply fresh paste to the processor at the same time (see the included picture). This pad isn't intended as a drop in replacement for paste, paste is for filling in very small micro gaps whilst these pads are for larger gaps. Not replacing like for like could lead to overheating and even permanent damage to the chip.tl;drThis thermal pad works great.

I used to replace some damaged pads on my GPU, worked perfectly and easy to work with too. Some tips - throw in the fridge for 30 mins prior to applying, this will make it more durable and more "solid" as long as you work fast. When cutting to size, do not remove the protective plastic. When applying to a component, remove one side of plastic, and put that face down first, apply a small amount of pressure to help the pad adhere, then use your finger nails or a tweezer to remove the top layer of plastic.I believe following these instructions will avoid any of the pitfalls that the negative reviewers have fan into.

Used this to replace the thermal pads on my Razer blade 14 laptop as i wanted to open it up and see if i could drop the temps slightly by re pasting the cpu and gpu, the thermal pad has done a very good job, my temps have dropped significantly.comes in a little bag and covered in this plastic protector wrap... make sure you remove this as i nearly forgot :-/was easy to cut to size and to lay on where i needed it, its not very sticky though so be careful when applying.Overall im very happy with this product, did exactly what i needed it to do

Used on my PS4 GDDR5 memory. Have to be careful on re-assembly and make sure you clean each chip and mating surfaces with ArtiClean. The end result with this and using MX4 on CPU/APU is better than good. PS4 now even more quite than when first bought and fan does not ramp up like a rocket no more, regardless of what game is played. Still had over a years warranty and voided my PS4 doing this , but was well worth it.

CPU was running overtemp. Cleaned old syn off with 90% alcohol and replaced with this self-adhesive one. Has plastic on both sides. After cleaning cpu and heat sink, remove plastic from one side and apply. Then remove plastic on remaining surface and apply cpu cooler. It is several degrees lower than normal range instantly. No instructions, but youtube works.

I use this to replace the quite frankly horrific thermal pads that they used on the base ps4. Turns out that with this you just get enough to fully cover all the ram chips. The noise difference was something to behold. I used to have to turn up my sound as the blaring from the ps4 cooling system was silly. Will definitely get again in the future.

I bought this to try and fix my LG G3, which was overheating so badly that the screen wouldn't even turn on anymore. I put a small square of this between the processor and the frame and now it works perfectly! The pad seems to be brilliant at transferring heat, would recommend over thermal paste for some applications as this is so clean and easy!

I am a loyal customer to ARCTIC!love this company and manufacturertop quality productsits quite small i bought the 50x50mmx1.mm size and it was a close call still have some but not much leftused it on my gpu to cover my vrm and replaced the old original thermal pad on my gpu which was garbage!!a little pricy!

Purchased this for my 70D camera that was prone to overheating, the difference is amazing, I wasn't sure this would help but since fitting a small strip over the cameras chipset I can fire away on high speed with no overheating issues at all, 5* product all the way!

Using it for holding my glass bed to my 3d printer. It's very nicely sticky but not too soft so it holds my glass bed nicely while keeping it's thickness. Can't say anything about thermal conductivity yet but it is probably more than acceptable

Really good, took the temperature of my computer's PCH (integrated northbridge and southbridge chip) a few degrees down. Being a spongy material it compresses very well too. Much easier to work with than with thermal paste.

I received the thermal pad. I was surprised to only see 1 pad in the packet.... when the pic shows 3. So I was mislead. I needed it to fix a samsung galaxy overheating. So far the thermal pad is working

Does a damn good job - have used them on a few projects but the most I have noticed was the heat dissipation mod you can do on a Dell XPS 9550. Which you had to layer and still worked great.

Amazing stuff, helped drop the temp on my Raspberry Pi by 30°c!Simple to cut to the right size, easy to peel off the clear sheet. Sticks the heat sync down quickly and securely.

This was great for latop refurbs Acer, Sony etc where overheating had occurred. Also testing the fan quickly on USB trick ensured fan was still working in most cases.
