I was initially disappointed in this Watch. Without the App, it is not much more than an ordinary minimalistic Wrist Watch. There is not much on it that shows it actually tracks anything. So I read the guide and gave it a run for a couple of weeks. Now I know that it is great. It tracks running and a few other activities automatically but it can track a lot more activities manually. I do some fitness workouts daily each session lasting about 30 minutes.Activity Tracking...............................To start the tracker, all you do is PRESS the only side button on the Watch for about 2 to 3 seconds and the Watch will vibrate. You will see the arms moving to positions that make the Wach track your session's duration. The longer arm will be moving counting seconds. The shorter arm will move and line up with that short static arm that never moves. The shorter arm will be the one counting your minutes so the starting point is the static short arm. You can clearly see how much time has elapsed. Once you are done, you again press the button for 2 seconds (Watch vibrates to register the action) and the arms get back to showing the time. It is interesting to see how it can change from showing time to tracking your activities. The Healthmate App.........................................I then move to the App. I already hard it because I have a Withings scale. You just need to pair the Watch with the APP. Very easy to set up. Connecting the watch to the App is effortless. You don't press anything on the Watch. Once you open the Healthmate App and Bluetooth is on, the watch will instantly transfer your data to the App, rapidly. Then you can see all your steps, exercises, and sleep.Sleep Tracking.............................Wow, this is really helping me strive to get better, longer sleep. What is more, it is effortless on your part. You just sleep, no need to do anything, the watch will take care of the rest. The first time I tracked my sleep, I had a very restless sleep because of some badly made Battery App on my Phone that kept beeping loudly every after 30 minutes and I could not figure out the offending app. I had to just switch the Phone off. In the morning when I connected the Watch to the App, it showed a number of short grey bands that shows I was awake, and these stopped after I switched off the Phone, from that point it showed some light and deep sleep. The overall sleep score was poor (20/100), and it marked it as a restless night. I have since improved my sleeping as I get encouraged to wake up each morning and see how well or badly I slept making me want to get better sleep next time.I do get weekly emails from Withings showing me how my week looks like. I have been to the Healthmate Website to see my activities.Conclusion......................So this masquerades as a minimalistic normal wrist watch but it actually is a very capable Tracker and my favourite features on this watch are it's automatic tracking of running (and the wealth of stats on your running) and sleep. But I also like tracking my aerobic exercises showing me how much calories I have used.

I got this for my husband to try out, as he's pretty much a smartphone virgin having just acquired his first Android, a Vodafone Smart N9 Lite. He'd never tried any kind of step counter or fitness tracker before either.I already use a Fitbit, so I was able to help him get this set up and synched to his phone. You need to download the relevant "HealthMate" app from the Google Play store, once that's done it's a simple matter to follow the step-by-step instructions in the app and get the phone synched to your account. The tracking is basically a slightly "lite" version of what my Fitbit Inspire HR does. It will track your steps over the course of the day, analyse your sleep and track any sustained periods of exercise (it auto-recognises some but not others). It's waterproof, so you can wear it in the shower or, more importantly for a swim - although my husband can't swim so didn't try this feature out. It also has a GPS feature so if you;re going for a run or a hike, you can press the button on the side of the watch and record your distance travelled and locations. As for appearance, it looks more like a normal analogue watch than most fitness trackers, although possibly a little plastic-y and cheap if you look closely. The main problem my husband has with it was that the watch strap was shorter than on most men's watches, and he found it uncomfortably tight to wear for long periods. Once it even came off during the night as he had to fasten it on the last hole. However, he found it interesting to be able to analyse his activity at work and at home and see how well he was sleeping. He found the app on his phone easy to understand and it helped familiarise him with some of the things a smartphone and its related devices can do. I doubt he'll wear it permanently, though, as he does find it rather uncomfortable and prefers his own watch!! If it's possible to re-link it to a new account, I'll probably pass it on to another family member.

Looks a little plasticky, but impressed with how easy it is to set up and use plus the 18-month battery life means you don’t have to take it off and charge every night like most other tracking watches.I really like that the watch automatically tracks what you do, there’s no dials to turn or press and all activity data is quickly show in the Withings App. On the watch the inner dial with the coloured hand shows 0 to 100. This tracks your activity progress for the goals you set up within the App. On first set up you are asked how many daily steps you want to achieve. You will need to download the Withings App to connect your watch to your phone. The App is called Health Mate – Total Health Tracking, available on both Android and Apple.. Set up was really simple. Download and open the app then press the button on the side of your watch to connect and link your watch. Follow the set up on your phone where you will need to create a Withings account. Took me around a minute to set up and the instructions were very easy to follow. There’s a small quick start booklet in the box that tells you to go to the Withings website to download the app, but you can just go straight to the phones App store and search for Withings.I really like the price of this activity watch, it’s very simple to use and has a very impressive 18-month battery life. Recommended.

I bought this watch last September and wore it on holiday, swimming, walking - and everything since. I initially had a problem setting it up (due to my stupidity) but the online Withings agent in France sent me excellent instruction videos which worked perfectly. Just before lockdown I had an issue with battery life and Withings sent me a new battery immediately with apologies for the faulty battery (another excellent customer service agent) but i didn't have a tool small enough to open the back and all the jewellers were closed. The agent kept in touch with me whilst their factory was shut and as soon as they re-opened she sent a postage paid label for me to return the watch. The battery was replaced and returned to me within days. I am now wearing the watch and loving it still! Keeps track of my activities (zumba and Pilates)- there are many more, plus walking, and sleeping. I enjoy having goals and it syncs seamlessly with my Samsung S10e. I bought a chrome mesh strap too for when i don't need a waterproof version and it looks really smart. Two looks in one! I initially worried about Customer Services being in France but they have been truly amazing and can't recommend highly enough! Buy with confidence.

The Withings Move has a very different design approach to normal smart watches in that’s an analogue watch, not digital, which is quite novel. The fact that it’s analogue means its looks are great, I really like the large black watch face and the minimalist markings, it’s a watch you can wear for its looks as well as the smart functions. The ECG is a great addition and only takes 30 seconds to provide data on this. I have downloaded the Withings Health Mate app onto my iPhone, so when the watch collects the ECG data it then automatically synchs via Bluetooth with the app and then graphically displays all the data. The synchronisation works very well and the Health Mate app itself is very easy to use.Another unusual touch is that the watch doesn’t need re-charging,which takes away a little bit of hassle, though the inbuilt battery will run out and eventually and have to be replaced, Withings claim a 12 month battery life.Overall this is an excellent keep fit device with great features, particularly the ECG function. It’s also a very nice looking watch and as such is great value for money.

This watch is wonderful.I mainly decided to order it for the ECG and sleep programs. They've packed a lot more onto the app.If I really wanted to loose weight and keep a record of everything it says it can, then you'd be super happy with it.Being waterproof, up to 50m, its a swimmers dream if you're into doing lengths. But for me, as I said I need to see how I'm sleeping, which is great. Not sure if I'm actually doing all the steps it says I've done over the day though lol. When I feel my hearts having extra beats I can pop out the ECG and check that it's still okay.I like the idea of being able to email the readings to my doctor if I do think anythings seriously wrong.Could be a nightmare for them though if someone is a bit 'over sensitive' to ailments. As a watch, it's very stylish. I would like the numbers to stand out a little more, but that just me.Also, and I'm not sure again if it's just me, I do not realise I'm wearing it. Normally I like my watches loose on me. But this wristband you can't feel.My daughter now wants one lol ?????

I have tried a Fitbit and another (un-named) Chinese copy of it, but have always found them both ugly to look at and cumbersome to set up and use.I am not interested in reaching peak Olympic level fitness; I just want something easy to set up, nice to look at and reasonably accurate to keep an eye on my general level of fitness. This watch delivers that for me.I set it up in a couple on minutes with my Samsung J5, and paired them with no problems. After that the watch set itself to the correct time, and the step counter function started working. You can monitor all your chosen activity on the app, and change parameters, like the number of daily steps you wish to achieve. It is a smart watch, and it looks like a normal wristwatch, which I personally prefer.I like it because it is so simple.I’m sure, as others have noted, that it is not the most accurate device in the world, but then is has advantages that some users, like me, prefer. One star off because the face scratched very easily the first day I wore it!

The box the watch comes in is horrible. It's a proper-looking watch, so why not give it a proper box? The watch itself I quite like, even though it's plasticky. It's an "ordinary" watch that also tracks activity and sleep, shows this info via the app, and doesn't need charging every five minutes. Its battery should last around 18 months. What you get is a trade-off: battery longevity versus real-time info on a digital display. The only real-time info you get from the watch itself is time and progress towards your goal via the sub-dial. The rest you get from the app. If you're used to trackers that give you more info than this, you might be disappointed. If, on the other hand, you like tracking data on an app and hate charging a smartwatch/activity tracker all the time, this model might be what you're looking for. However, if you're particularly concerned about heart health, you may want to wait for the upcoming Withings Move ECG, which enables users to take their own ECGs.

I'm a big fan of the Withings/Nokia products and have a Steel HR watch and set of scales already. This watch was for the Mrs. and she had no trouble setting it up to use.Unlike her old device, this one actually looks like a normal watch and you can see the time without having to press any buttons. There are no smartwatch features like on the Steel HR (i.e. notifications of calls and messages etc.) and it does need the smartphone app to be able to see records of activity and sleep, although you can see progress towrds your daily steps target on a the watch face. The other difference between this an the Steel HR watch is that you do not recharge it but have to replace the battery, but that is supposed to last 18 months, so not a problem. If you do not need smartwatch features and just want to track activity, steps and sleep, but want something that looks like a traditional watch then this is perfect.

I can't remember the last time I wore a watch and I refuse to wear a tracker (you know the ones) but the Withings Move is so nice I now wear it all the time (not sleeping though, despite the sleep function). It looks a bit like a Swatch but without the loud ticking. Very minimalist, I have the black one with the yellow third hand.Setup is super easy but I went to withings.com rather than go.withings.com at first which caused a bit of confusion! The app was incredibly simple to set up, very odd that the app sets the time but it works well (and is quite funky when it moves the hands. I set the target at 10k steps and get visual updates to show how I am doing. Not as super detailed or analytical (on the watch)as the Apple or similar versions but that is the beauty of it for me.The app is very good, simple to use and has all you need and more.Massive fan, can't recommend the Move enough.

Packaging good, not excessive. Instructions and start up very easy! Watch is quite stylish a great alternative to bulky offerings from other health orientated watch manufacturers . Lightweight, relatively slim profile. I thought the clock hand for steps would be annoying rather than a digital readout but I actually quite like it. Would be even better if the watch did heart rate as well (for this you need to get the next model up). Good value at around the £60 mark. Strap is good, plenty of adjustment. Watch face scratches fairly easily which isn't ideal. I haven't tried the GPS function just yet as I have been injured but it did auto recognise when I was cycling. App user interface is good.Four stars - the main let down for me is that it scratches too easily - I will just need to be more careful. I use it in conjunction with an Android phone. Very pleased with this watch overall.

This watch is really smart looking and has a far more comfortable strap than I was expecting. It was pretty easy to follow the instructions to set it up, download the app and link the watch to the app on my phone. The app (Withings Health Mate) is fairly intuitive and you get a step-by-step guide on how to use the various features.I wanted to be able to monitor my activity, sleep and heart rate in order to help me manage my chronic illness, and this watch/app combo seems to be exactly what I need.As a nice little extra bonus, it comes with a soft, smart-looking grey case, to keep the watch safe when you're not wearing it.Ideal for anyone wanting to monitor their health.

The Withings Move ECG is an ungainly watch with an awful rubber strap and an annoying app but once you start to live with its faults you get the benefit of its virtues. A smart phone can step count and monitor sleep but this has a nifty ECG feature which could be a life saver and has identified a slight irregularity in my own heart. Nothing to worry about for the time being, but confirmed by independent results and nice to know that this device has my back. To get such an important and precise feature at a relatively low price is the selling point of this watch which is very much an acquired taste looks wise.

Very light, accurate and a useful reminder to get more active. I have definitely moved more than I would have without. Tracks a multitude of activities like walking, running, cycling, swimming and a few more. Plus you can record specific sessions and get GPS details. The smart alarm functionality works well, although the vibration is not too strong. Still, it's hard to miss it.I recommend it to anyone who wants to keep an eye on their fitness and sleep quality, but not more than that. If you are serious about outdoor activities go for a more advanced model from this brand or a different device altogether.

This might not be a top of the range, all singing, all dancing fitness tracker, but it works well enough for everyday use. It is very comfortable to wear and is slimline. Over the years I've tried other top end brands and some of them have been huge, really thick, uncomfortable, and the straps dig in... and don't last long. So far so good. It's not the easiest to use either, but you get what you pay for, and this budget priced tracker would be ideal for even serious runners if they're out for a run.I like the comfort of this watch. It is lightweight, unobtrusive, comfortable. And budget.
