This is a very good knife. I mainly bought for use when hiking in the woods, but I come to realize that it is good for almost everything else, too. Its large blade, which holds a sharp edge even when used tough, is great for cutting meat, open op packages, cutting wood in the forest etc. Its lock-blade function is great for safety, however in countries where carrying a lock-blade EDC knife you might want to take a look on the other Victorinox knives. For example, in Denmark, where I live, we cannot carry a lock-blade knife and it must not be over 7 cm (3") of length, measured from the grip to the end of the knife. So it cannot be used as a EDC.But for every other purpose it is great and I can only recommend it.

As you would expect with Victorinox this knife/tool is really well made with good quality carbon steel blade. The blade is a good size (3 inches) and is really sharp from the get go and keeps a good edge. The locking mechanism on the blade is effective and makes it safe to use without fear of it closing unexpectedly when your fingers are in the way. The tools (screwdriver, bottle opener, tin opener etc) are all good quality and work well. The handle is comfortable with good grip making it good for whittling. Over all i am very pleased with my purchase. The blade is a good 3 inches so questionable if it is legal per se but as long as you have a good reason for carrying it - shouldn't be a problem
