The 'rope' insole appears not to be rope but to be moulded, so not as comfortable as a conventional espadrille. The size comes up a little tight as well. Acceptable as a house slipper in summer.

Despite me getting a size up they are a bit snug to say the least. They may well expand over time but not sure I can be bothered to shoe horn my feet into them that much.
