Expensive quality headlamp. The price is high compared to other lights out there, but you get some high quality with it. First of all the 3 AAA batteries are actually INCLUDED - THANK YOU! And that should be considered when comparing prices. The headband part is also high quality thickness and tension so it should last through some rigged use. The 3 batteries will make it heavier than the button style lights available, so consider that if you want this for running. This is SUPER bring on the highest setting. If you were running towards me wearing this, I would be annoyed at you for blinding me... but here's the great part... You can easily, quickly angle the light downward and back up again.I've never seen a light that allows you to do that! RUNNERS - BUY THIS (as long as you don't mind the weight). I would like to see the bending feature with a button battery to make it even lighter. The bulkiness of the unit is all from the box holding 3 AAA batteries.I usually use headlamps for travel to third world countries as a backup if the electricity goes out. This will be great for me. Light enough to fit in a pocket. Would also make an excellent gift for jewelry makers, anyone who works with electronics, anyone who sews (embroidery people), and maybe ice climbers who start at 3am in darkness. Makes a good stocking stuffer too. There are 3 light settings, so try to use the lowest to save your battery life! Low setting is supposed to last 75 hours, medium 22 hours, high 6 hours. I assume that's if you leave it on throughout the period. Enjoy!

Let's say it, right up front. This headlamp is ugly. Seriously ugly. The wood... it just doesn't work. Yet. I don't care. This is one of the better headlamps I've used in a long while.Let's start with the band. It's nice and wide and made out of a soft fabric. It feels good wrapped around your head. Also, the buckles are this ingenious design that doesn't require you to muck about pulling straps around to adjust. It slides smoothly and stays in place. My wife, son, and I all tried the headlamp on and were able to very quickly adjust it to our heads. It's an excellent strap. The lamp itself, apart from the wood, is wonderful. First, you can easily detach it from the strap so you can make it into a flashlight if you need to.The light itself is wonderfully bright. Yes, I'm sure there are bright lights, but this one is good. You can click through various levels of brightness. The button is easy to find and responds nicely. Very nicely. Best of all is the way the light is mounted on the battery pack. Instead of some hard to maneuver set of click-based positions, it's just a smooth action. It lifts away from the battery pack, hinged on one side. You can easily adjust it to any angle. Yet, because you're only moving the light and not the batteries, it doesn't get heavy and pull on your head like some head lamps will.Seriously, this thing is ugly, but it doesn't matter. It's one of the best designed headlamps I've seen.

This small headlamp is truly lightweight, featuring a basic, functional design and a positive feel to its controls, especially the well-placed brightness/power button. A hinged light adjusts smoothly through its arc and remains solidly in position. There’s no variable lens/beam, though. It’s built just rugged enough for emergency or home use, or for (light) shop/outdoor activities.Brightness is more than adequate, but light throw distance is just OK. I would guess a camper/hiker would want beam options. The stylized, real-wood retro/micro-camera appearance qualifies as quirky, or just plain odd. But remember, if worn properly, you can't see it.The thick headband spreads the tension well, and was comfortable for a 30 min. duration. The strap adjustment buckles are well-designed, since I accidentally pulled far too hard on a strap, and the buckle released the strap and didn’t break.A good friend had mentioned a headlamp’s convenience when working on a car. With this unit at the ready, I was a mere 5 mins. into a maint. task when the headlamp resolved an awkwardly-angled lighting need that would have required, as usual, three hands. It has earned permanent status in the toolbox.

This is a great headlamp. The lamp is very simple to put on or remove from the strap, and it is comfortable to wear. The light unit weighs much less than the other headband lights I have been using recently, it is very lightweight. The activation button is easy to find while wearing the light, and there are 3 brightness settings, varying from just enough light to read with to being able to light up the trail ahead of you for a long way off. The light operates on 3 AAA batteries, which are included. The model I received has a wood inlay on the face of the light, and a panoramic nighttime mountain scene on the strap. Both are attractive, but only if you like the look of them. Personally,I think I would rather more standard colors on mine, but that is 100% a personal preference issue.Overall, this is a very useful and comfortable headlamp. During the winter months, I am at work a couple hours before the sun comes up, so I find myself needing a headlamp at least a few times a week. This one has replaced the previous headlamp I kept in my truck.

I find that headlamps are infinitely useful in a variety of situations. I keep one in my car for emergencies, I keep one in my office, and I keep several at home. I always use one when I go into the attic since you have to actually be in the dark attic before you can reach the light switch and even then the light only illuminates half the attic well. Using a headlamp in the attic is a little less scary and helps me locate what I want faster. Basically, anytime or anyplace you need to have your hands free and you want light shining where you are looking, a headlamp is a useful tool.I’ve used several headlamps now, and the “UCO Hundred 100 lm LED Headlamp with Real Wood Inlay,Northern Lights” is the prettiest I’ve owned so far. It also has the fewest features of any I’ve owned. This light is great if all you want is three light settings, but if you want emergency lights and such, you can find headlamps with more functions at a similar or lesser price. With the UCO model, you are really paying for the way it looks, not its functionality.

This UCO LED headlamp looks pretty neat with a bit of wood inlay and the custom headband. While those things make it easier to tell yours from someone else's headlamp, they do not add to its utility, At least the small amount of wood substitutes for a bit of plastic, and it makes me wonder why more of this sort of product could not be made from something other than plastic. The lamp is comfortable and the straps fits me fine (I wear a medium hat). The lamp has three setting, and the dimmest is nice for low light in a tent while the brightest does focus a strong enough light to find stuff on tent flow or around the campsite. It is also bright enough to serve as a beacon but I have not checked to see from how far it might be visible. The tilt lens adds to the UCO's overall utility. Too soon to tell what sort of life the 3 triple A batteries will have powering one of these headlamps, and that could be a deciding factor. It you are looking for something a bit different or a gift for a camper, this UCO is a nice choice.

This LED headlamp is priced higher than a majority of headlamps and the question we address here is whether it is worth the extra money. The highest intensity is 100 LM, which is very good, but not great. You can buy a 300 LM headlamp for half this price. What I do like about this headlamp is the ability to adjust the intensity to three levels, and I found that capability very useful. I also found the headband to adjust easily and that it was very comfortable. The headlamp is relatively light in weight, and the angle of illumination is continuously adjustable. While I found the real wood inlay to be nice looking, I would not want to pay extra for it. But I fear the high price may reflect this added touch. Thus, this headlamp works as described, is light weight and comfortable to wear, has continuous angular adjustment, and provides three intensities of illumination. I would have given it five stars except that I believe it is overpriced.

This light is a great help to me as I do a lot of sewing by machine and hand. I also make jewelry. As I have gotten older my peepers have too and seeing small things up close has become a problem . I wear my reading glasses to magnify but if you do not have good light it is still difficult to see. This has helped immensely when sewing etc.The other thing I love it for is when I have to make a repair or get into a spot with no lighting. I'm a widow and make my own repairs in my home and this very handy in dark places or working on/with small parts.. Great for crawling around in a crawl space, under the sink etc. You can adjust the brightness to your needs.Holds up well, nicely made but I feel they are over priced compared to other head lights.

This headlamp works great and has three settings so that you can have precisely the light you need whether that be low, med or high. You can also adjust the angle of the light from straight ahead to angled down. The band is really nice and smooth (and I like the design on the fabric) and extremely comfortable to wear for an extended period of time. The only reason I took one star off is because I wish they had a way to set it to have red light to preserve my night vision when I need that feature. This headlamp isn't advertised to have that feature--and it doesn't--so it's not really a fair complaint, but from my perspective, that is the only reason it is not a five-star light when it probably should be.

This thing is awesome. Foremost, it mortified my kids when I put it on, so that was fun. Functionally speaking, it worked right out of the box. I popped in the batteries, fit it onto the headband, adjusted the band, and went to work. I love that it has multiple light settings that are easily changed with just one hand. I wanted this for use on minutely detailed art projects, and it doesn't disappoint. The instructions are sparse, though its minimal assembly and use don't require detail. I'd recommend this for any need of focused, close light.

I'm happily surprised by this headlamp. I thought it would be too heavy and far lower quality than my Petzls. It's surprisingly easy to adjust, has three brightness settings, and is about the same weight. I keep one with my camping gear at all times, so this one gets used around the house. Great for nighttime trips to the fuse box outside, peering inside my dryer's lint filter, walking around the neighborhood in the dark (especially since we are in the county and have no streetlights.) Hands-free is the only way to go. Recommended.

This is a nice small headlamp that is very bright. It's powered by 3AAA batteries that are included in the packaging. The back is clipped on and comes off with just a little effort to put in the batteries and you are ready to go. The light does swivel down a bit so you can keep your head up and have light on your feet when walking or you can have the light right where you are looking. It's very lightweight but has no top strap so this is for walking and camp chores/crafts not running or hard activites. Overall a solid head lamp.

This is a very nice headlamp with three brightness settings. It gets surprisingly bright on the highest setting--not something I have seen on most headlamps at this price point. The design is different (almost retro) compared to other headlamps. The batteries do not last a super long time but this is adequate. My only issue is that it is heavier than I am used to in a headlamp (I use rechargeable ones). I ended up giving this to my 13 y.o. son and he absolutely loved it.

27.11.2016

This headlamp works great. Band adjusts easily, even while on, and fits comfortably. Light adjusts up and down, and has three levels of brightness. Uses three triple AAA batteries, which are included. The wood inlay around the light adds a nice look, as does the design on the band. Worked great when I was trying to find things in storage where I had no lighting, left my hands free to move things around and carry.

I have a few of these from different brands, but none of the works as smoothly and conveniently as this UCO LED Headlamp. It's pretty well made, bright, and easy to operate. I use it bike riding at night or doing some handy works where needed. I also like the creative design to make it less formal like my other headlamps, but more pleasant and interesting.I recommend it!
