Our 2 year old son absolutely loves to play with this toy, and it makes bath time a truly great time for him (and his dad).There seem to be a lot of negative reviews on amazon, but I haven't experienced any problems. However, you'll need to push the boat underwater to fill the bottom part with water. If you don't do this the boat will not stay afloat and the canon won't work either. So maybe that's where other reviewers have gone wrong? (as it doesn't state this in any instructions.) If you use the canon, you may have to repeat the process to refill the boat with water in order to keep it afloat.As long as the boat is filled with water, it floats with no problems and our son loves squirting the water from the different canons!

My son received this as a gift along with a couple of other bath toys and this is by far the best. It is sturdy and a good size. It has encouraged more play and conversation as you can do so much with it and make up little stories as you play. Much better than the endless bath squirters we have.I would highly recommend this for a child of 18months and up to much older. We never put it away, it is requested every night in the bath.

Good basic bath toy. Bought for my 1 year old, he is a little young for it though as he can't work the cannon or water spout - the boat needs to he held stable to press the octopus down.The whole boat needs submerging under water first to fill up the base, this keeps it stable. If you don't do this it will capsize, which I read is the issue some reviewers have had.Lovely and sturdy and I love the bright colours and simple design.

My little boy loves this! The little octopus, when pressed down squirts water at you (or in any direction as it rotates), the little boat and pirate are cute and the cannon that fires water (once filled). It is bright and colourful, has plenty of interactive features for the little ones to enjoy and it pretty sturdily built.

Got one for my boy when he was maybe about 18 months and he still lives it age 4. It’s finally started to look a bit tired lately thanks to the limescale in our London water but it’s lasted really well and been much loved so don’t feel it owes me anything! Recently bought one as a gift as I know it will get played with.

This was bought for a young of about 9-10 years old as she is giving away toys for children this Christmas who’s parents don’t have much money. Which is a lovely idea. It seems strong & well made. It has lots of little pieces that fit together & each is just the right size for little hands.

Fab toy. I read the reviews and submerged until filled with water and it was perfectly stable. The octopus will happily squirt water for ages the big cannon at the front will only fire 2 shots before you need to submerge the front to fill it up again.. Kids don't care they love it!

I looked long and hard in town for this but was unsuccessful. I like to see what I'm buying before buying. However this toy does what it says on the box. My grandson loved it and Mum approved so it was a good choice all round. Thank You

Good boat for bath time. My 3 year old enjoys playing with it, the captain and little boat. The octopus and cannon sprays water but its not as powerful as id have thought but my little one enjoys it. The boat fills up with water

My 6 month old son and 2 yr old daughter love this ship. They play with it in and out of the bath! It needs to be submerged in water to fill up before water cannon works properly, however it's a bath toy, not a super soaker!

This is fun my son likes it but the water cannon on the front is rubbish, it's doesn't squirt out like the pictures show, the added bonus is the pirate looks like my husband, lol!!!

I bought this for my 2 year old grandson and he loves it.Well made, colourful and fun makes for an enjoyable bath time!Would highly recommend it.

Made bath tome a lot easier for my kids Great toy, kids love them! Would definitely recommend. Would also be a good stocking filler! Hours of fun

Great bathtoy with lots of different water features for little fingers to squeeze, pour, float and generally splash around with in the bath!!
