After realising just how much stuff the wife had packed for our 2 kids for a week in center parcs, I realised I needed a roofbox! So I looked around and found a second hand box, and came across these roofbars. Good thing too! They're great!!As far as roofbars go, these are the least obtrusive ones I could find, for several reasons:1. They don't protrude past the roof rails on my 2007 RS4 Avant2. They sit much closer to the roof than most roof bars3. As they're black, they match the black optics option on my car (black roof rails, window trim, and grill surround)Fitting seemed a little awkward at first glance of the instructions, but after watching an installation video on youtube it wasn't too bad afterall.

Purchased these as an Amazon Warehouse item, and they arrived within 3-4 days. Box was quite tatty but everything in the box was fine. First impression was that they were very well made. Instructions are very good.The bars are complete items so no need to match feet to bars as in other setups/options. The bars are sprung which means that they can be compressed to fit tightly inside the rails each side. There are then two plastic straps that wrap around the raill and attach to the bars. Once attached there is a special tool that tightens the straps onto the rails. The tool is really neat as the straps need to be torqued to 2nm and once this is done it clicks to tell you it's at the right torque.

I was in two minds about buying these as I'd read some good reviews and some bad ones .. well I bit the proverbial bullet and bought them anyway. I have to say, I'm impressed. They look superb on my vehicle and although a bit fiddly to fit, not really difficult.Like some others have commented, I was concerned that some £220 roof bars were only held on with rubber straps so I looked into it and found that they are in fact 'steel impregnated rubber' and the solid feel to them is evidence of this, they don't bend easily as all rubber would.All in all, if the space on your roof bars is not a major problem, I would certainly recommend these as I think they look much better than bars that overhang your rails.

Typical high quality Swedish engineering from Thule, well worth the extra premium. Fit is a little fiddly the first time round due to the strong construction and the strength of the wrap around straps but once mastered, a piece of cake. The provided torque wrench style tension key works well.Low aerodynamic profile doesn't make the vehicle look like a safari truck. They fit my Discovery Sport like a glove.Only observation at this time is that the locking key access slots face directly upwards so not sure what a couple of years worth of good old British rainfall would eventually do to the mechanism, then again it rains in Sweden also so surely they checked it?

These are not cheap, but they are "simply the best" currently available. Stylish low profile; they actually enhance the look of your car. No width overhang (most roof bars overhang the width of the car; even OEM). Zero wind noise and once assembled they a very easy to fit to your car (mine are fitted to a VW T-Roc with roof rails). I have purchased a few sets of roof bars over the years, including OEM, for many makes and models of car - some cheap, some not so cheap and various brands. Many have been a total nightmare to assemble, adjust and install; and ugly! I suggest you take a look at these, before you spend your money elsewhere.

These bars have been fitted for a few months now. They were slightly fiddly to fit, getting the rubber coated steel bands around the car roof rails, but on and looking good. As expected, fuel consumption is slightly higher with the bars fitted. One of the lock caps was damaged and while the company that supplied the bars would not respond to enquiries, Thule (direct) were very helpful and sent out the replacement part after confirming exactly where the damage was. They also identified that I would need a special key to remove the lock from the existing cover so sent that too.

Extremely high quality. Fit my 2014 Kuga very well. I did find the instructions a little confusing but that's probably me and not Thule. I think I may even leave them on the car for the time being. I've noticed no extra road noise and they are very sleek. The addition of a torque drive in the package is a bonus as it means no over or under tightening. I bought these from Amazon Warehouse. They have obviously been tried on a vehicle but there was no damage, the locks were still sealed up and everything was present. Saved myself around £30. Win win.

Fitted these to my Skoda Octavia mk3 along with a Thule Motion XT L roof box.The bars look great, feel strong, are very quiet and maintain a sporty look.The reason I have given 4 stars is for my security doubts, they are fixed in place with rubber straps around the original roof rails. I don't think it would take much to cut through this rubber with a sharp blade and there's the bars and everything else gone. I expected the key covers to mold around this to hide the rubber. The bars looks so good that I'm willing to take the risk.

I brought these for my LR Discovery Sport 2017 HSE with roof bars, fitted a treat, easy to install and are low profile. Tested for wind noise upto 90mph and none noticed until 80, after that only a slight hum. Fitted the Thule Pro-ride bile carrier and all goes together nicely. Looked at the Thule Rapid 775 as recommended by Thule for the Discovery however they are not low profile and dint fit between the roof rails but on top. Only useful if you need extra width. Great made product.

Great quality and reasonably easy to fit. Took me about 30 mins from box to fitted. Love the fact that they sit lower profile on the car rather than sticking up high above the rails like conventional roof bars. Don't intend to keep taking them on and off, they will just live on the car, hence low profile works well. Minimal wind noise - we don't know they are there. Really impressed. Great quality as you'd expect from Thule - I wouldn't buy another brand for roof bars or roof boxes!

Great roof bars, I haven't heard any wind noise from them at all, even at motorway speeds. They are easy to install, but on this model make sure you put the narrower bar at the back. I got totally confused by the instructions and thought I'd got the wrong set. I contacted Thule and they informed me how to fit them the correct way!The bars sit a lot lower on the car, so are good to look at. I haven't take them off the car since fitting, but they are easy to fit and remove.

I fitted these to our 2017 VW Tiguan so we could transport the kids bikes around. As with everything from Thule they are great quality, however the strap connection mechanism isn't the easiest to fit. I am sure they are more secure but I prefer to remove the roof bars after every use, but being more fiddly they are now having to stay on the car. My thule cycle carriers connected fine and not much wind noise from these bars if you use the supplied rubber bar inserts.

Awesome roof bars, fit perfectly and took no time to fit on my car.I wanted ones that had a low profile, reduced wind drag and able to fit my kayak shoes too. Being a lazy git, I can't be bothered with taking off roof bars after every use, so the Thule WingBar Edge were the best choice.Pricey, yes, but good quality and I got these at a reduced price as they were a customer return and had a good reduction in price, all parts were there.

Out of the box and fitted within 20 mins.....Fit my Volvo V70 perfectly and look like they are a factory fit. I use them to transport my Kayak and their close roof fit means I have had to change the way I mount it. Unloaded I seem to get a bit of wind noise at about 60 mph but this is to be expected, time will tell if they affect MPG greatly. Thule stands for quality and these are no exception......great product.

Thule quality and, once you've done the first-time customisation of strap lengths to fit your particular roof bars, an absolute sinch to fit and remove. You can hear them, just, when driving along the motorway, but they're nothing like a noisy as roof bars used to be, so the 'aerodynamics' are worth paying for. I didn't notice a drop in fuel consumption either when not carrying a load, so that's another plus.
