These bars are very aesthetically pleasing, having a lower profile and sleek ends which integrate into your car's design well. You do need to buy a specific fitting kit for your vehicle as can be expected. Installation itself took a matter of minutes, however the pictorial instructions do require a bit of patience and imagination to interpret on occasion. They're easy enough to install as one person, but this may be more difficult if you have a van or 4x4. Don't do what I began to do and assume that the thinner edge of the bar faces forward, it's actually the other way around. These bars are very quiet on their own,understandably louder with accessories/roof boxes etc attached - but then the main benefit is that you don't need to remove the whole system to enjoy a quiet journey. If you don't need the accessory then take it off, the bars can stay on and not irritate you like some of the square bars do.I was (un)fortunate enough to get these a bit cheaper from Amazon Warehouse Deals which was the main reason for opting for the top of the range bars as opposed to a cheaper alternative, however I was stung when I realised that the keys and lock barrels are missing from the box - pretty much wipes out any discount I had! Naively, I did not realise they were missing until I had proudly installed the bars on the car, so I'll just cut my losses and purchase a new set in due course... I'll probably buy the same set as the ProRide 591's that I also purchased - if only they hadn't been lost by Hermes (on behalf of Amazon) who claim to have delivered them, but that's another story.

Have had these wing bars fitted to my car now for a few weeks. Bought the foot pack to go with them for my specific vehicle. Fitting was relatively simple, although the instructions weren't brilliant. They give you an idea of how the bars and feet fit, and after that it was easy to figure out. I had them fitted for a few days without anything else fitted to them. There was no noise coming from the bars as I drove, and no obvious difference in my MPG.I then fitted 2 Thule 591 Pro ride cycle carriers, using the t bar function. The carrier fitted to the drivers side went on fine and looks great, however when fitting the carrier to the passenger side it was a different storey.On the drivers side,the front foot plate of the bike carrier sits neatly on the wing bar, on the passenger side though the footplate has to sit projecting forward of the wing bar, and looks a bit stupid.I contacted Thule about this, and was told that there is no way around this, but it is quite safe and has been tested!The only solution it would appear, would be for Thule to manufacture their cycle carries to suit a specific side of the vehicle, I.e. Drivers side carrier or passenger side carrier.That wouldn't be too difficult surely?I have attached a couple of photos. The first photo is of the carrier fitted to the drivers side, the second fitted to the passenger side.

These are extremely good, there is very little additional noise inside the cabin even at motorway speeds, also it doesn't appear to affect the fuel economy that much either.A word of warning though, you also have to buy the fixing kit which is specifically designed to fit to your car, this product is just the bars themselfs and won't be able to be fitted without the fixing kit which is sold separately. Also there are different types of bars, the ones I got are equal length but there are some that are differen, again depending on the car you have so make sure you use the Thule website to work out which ones are right for you.The only downside is this is an expensive option for roof rails,especially when you include the fixing kit on top, but they are probably the best on the market at the moment and look good, as far as roof rails are concerned anyway. Would recommend, just go into it knowing you are going to have to part with some cash!

Looks good on my 3 series bmw. Wanted black just to match everything else. Was looking second hand but the price difference wasn't that much. These were down as nearly new..possible marks etc from Amazon but apart from the box they were packaged in there was nothing wrong with them.;-) worth the savings compared to new.Fitted car perfect. Didn't take that long to put together and once ready they can go on or off very quickly.Just check to make sure they suit your roof box/bag/items before buying. I use a Thule roof bag and everything fits fine. 10/10 for uber pair of roof racks which look like they will last. A happy customer.

Good quality and very sturdy.Pretty much silent with the rubber strip in place.Only issue was Amazons lack of packaging, received it in the retail box with one end ripped open and some of the seals broken.Pure luck that none of the parts were lost.

The plastic cover feels reliable and the locking mechanism can be a bit tricky to install but once you get it, it is perfectly fine. Tested on highway up to 120km/h and it is not making any noise at all.
