the overdrive suzuki is by far the best sound and easiest to play (straight or crossharp) harmonica ..in my opinion this is a far better harmonica than the hohner special 20 or the seydel blues harmonicas (including the steel session) the sound quality of the low F is remarkable... i earlier bought a hohner golden melody in G and found it very stiff so that for a long time it was impossible to bend.. in addition the golden melody sound was very grungy ...wish i had known earlier about suzuki overdrives!

A very interesting development of the traditional 'blues harp'.....Typical high quality Suzuki build quality....with the addition of a hole for each reed to permit blocking of airflow with a finger tip when bending notes.By trial and error the unused reed in any pair can be blocked to allow the other used reed to produce a purer sound.....The harp can also be played conventionallyA worthy addition to a collection of ordinary harps.......

This harmonica was not quite as easy to over blow or over draw notes as described but it is a great harmonica. This harmonica is dead on tune and very easy to play, not like some harmonicas I have had that require a lot of breath but the slightest breath is all it requires to make a note. A superb machine in its own right. in a question of its quality of a harmonica it its a qualifying 9 out of a possible 10. I love the design and quality

These unique harps are well worth 'adapting' to. The system works well (for me), and I am trying to adapt to the extra finger work, but I am liking the results already. I'm no musical expert, I am only a hobby player.Like all the Suzuki MR series harps, the build quality is lovely, and as expected - I own a good few Suzuki harps from the MR range which is why I bought these Overdrive Harps to join them.

Pat Missin has a great review on this harmonica. It was because of his review that I purchased this harmonica.I like it so much I just ordered another Overdrive in B.Covering the over blow and over draw holes is not easy, but I think you get rewarded with great sound once you figure out a system that works for you. This harmonica is so portable it's a great instrument to carry around to decompress.

Cheap for a high-end harmonica. Takes an effort to get used to the build. I’m sure you can do something shaping individual notes via the holes in the cover plates.I bought 2 to hoping to replace the reeds in my Suzuki Pro harps.. forget that. The reeds are held in place by the top and bottom cover plates with 2 screws.Nice weight and feel. I will buy more to replace eh expensive ones I wear out.

The Suzuki Overdrive had the best reviews, and I could not believe how easy it blows, and how beautiful it sounds. One thing that I've learned playing golf, sax, drums, guitar, or skiing. You need to buy the best equipment that you can afford. I've had all the cheap stuff at one time. What a waste of time and money. This harmonica has the biggest bang for the buck.

Quality construction and innovative design. Great tone. Unique design requires some practice to take advantage of the benefits of the design but the effort is well worth it. Suzuki harmonicas are simply the best. They are worth the investment.

This a a very well made harmonica but it has kind of a buzzy sound that isn't really suitable for blues playing. I haven't tried the overblow function yet - which is what it is built for, I can judge this harp better when that happens.

Beginner.... 1st impressions... blow - easy, loose, conasitent accross all holes... sound quality, clear, in tune, ... volume soft to loud... construciton, seems very solid... would recommend for beginners ... especially if on sale.

Excellent quality, great sound. Unique design requires some practice to take advantage of the benefits of the design but the effort is well worth it. Every Suzuki line of harmonicas is top quality and worth the investment.

Purchased for my friend. He loves the Suzuki Overdrive Harmonicas. Easy on the lungs as it requires little effort for a big sound.. He now has two of the Suzuki Harmonica and thinking of buying in other keys.

The Suzuki Overdrive is a very bright easily played harmonica. Mine are all very well maid and enjoyable to play. I strongly recommend them for songs that require a loud bright sound.

Though experimental in design, this is a great harmonica. Easy to play. Blows easily with bends and overblows as advertised. The price was insanely reasonable. A great buy!
