Great piece of kit.Like all modern optical devices it has plenty of things that it can do, but taking video or stills requires simple selection using the on/off button. Not only that but you can select whether to save them onto internal memory, Card or DVD.The only fault I find is that the default battery has such a short life, but by looking on the net one can find altenative batteries reasonably priced.

There is no point in having HD until you can shoot perfect movies. This is the most versatile and best value camcorder until then. The only improvement would be a wider angle lens instead of the super telephoto part of the zoom range which needs a good tripod to be of any use.

We have had the camcorder 1 year and found it a very good choice, easy to use & lots of internal memory more than enough for our 1 week holiday, would recomend it to buy

a very good camcorder for what i paid for it, took it to austria on holiday and it performed brilliantly,
