Purchased for my two year old a month ago, so had some time to go through the "toddler test" (one of the most stringent and toughest tests around!)I was, and still am reasonably impressed with this product. The wooden 'frame' slots together to create the sea for the fish, I can see the attraction of being able to fold this game flat again and tidy it into its box. The fish have small metal eyelets which stick to the magnets on the fishing rods. A couple of these eyelets have come out of the fish and subsequently become lost. You are supplied with four fishing rods which is great, I have given my daughter two as I have spent a great deal of time untangling the strings on the rods.Overall this is a fun game and one that my toddler keeps going back to time again, there are plenty which don't get a second look for long enough. Although it is a nicely made product, in the hands of a child the cracks are showing...

This product was purchased for my 3 and 4 year old grandchildren - both boisterous. I say that because I was not sure what the quality would be like. I am very pleased to say this is a robust and well made game. The wooden "sea world" slots together easily, which means it can be packed away after use. There is no base, but this does not detract from the enjoyment of the game whatsoever. The fishing rods are made of wooden sticks with coloured tops and string with magnets at the end. The various fish, including sea horses and star fish, are brightly coloured and have a number on the reverse. Good for colour recognition and counting skills at this young age. I am delighted with this purchase.

I bought this mainly for my daughter's 1st Birthday party, as most children were 2-3 years old I wanted them to play with something that will occupy them for a little while and later on I used it for fishing for little presents wrapped up in paper with attached paper clips for the magnet on the fishing rod to catch it. It is quite a good game, you can teach your child colours and counting, I also liked the fact that it is made from wood, not from cheap and shiny plastic as most things nowadays. You can also teach your child word such as fish, star fish, sea horse, ocean , sea, sea weed, etc. I would recommend this game as it is fun as well as educational.

Having trawled the toy shops for a magnetic fishing game for my nephew (was told that they don't do them any more!) I found this one on amazon. The game is really good quality, made of wood, slots together easily and is painted in lovely bright colours. The fishing rods are easy to hold for little hands and the magnets work well. The only small down side to this toy is the box. I thought that the box makes the toy look less appealing than the product inside. Also, its not a very sturdy box and is not that easy for small children to put the game away. Only a small thing though, I would definitely recommend this toy - my nephew and his sister love it.

With numerous tacky or poor quality build plastic and over expensive toys around nowadays (yes I'm talking about a certain little girl pig character here) it's a breath of fresh air to be pleasantly surprised by the build quality of this simple yet enjoyable game, the box on the version we got was German but didn't bother me (not like you need instructions to play!). We ordered this as a little gift for our 3 yr old and she was delighted to play it with her parents and grandma joining in at Christmas. She wasn't obsessed by it but it's a game she will and does return to and will do for several years to come. Contented child = happy parents.

I bought this game for my daughter, to allow her to play with up to 3 more children instead of just watching a DVD! The wooden pieces have a lovely finish and are quite sturdy. the game folds very neatly into a portable box. It enhances kids' dexterity and teaches them social skills such as taking turns. The only slightly negative point is that the fishing lines can get tangled together and it's quite a job to get them right again. But altogether a very good purchase.

This is a lovely toy, nice bright colors, magnets are strong to hold 2, even 3 fishes, would help with learning how to count and add so I'd reccomend it for kids over 4 years old. Folds neatly back in the box. The bits that I don't like is that the strings get tanggled very easily and it takes ages to untanggle them and that it doesn't have a base, you have to put ot on table or tray and you can't put it away assembled.

This simple game has really captivated our three and a half year old granddaughter, the pieces are placed in the square, and she hands out the rods then rushes to fish all the pieces out before anyone else gets a chance. The game itself may be simple but it's also useful to teach numbers and the different objects, colours and names, it fits snugly into its box and would be a handy toy to keep at a grandparent's house.

It might not be the cheapest, I have not seen the quality of others, when I first brought this toy I thought it was a little small but after my little girl started playing with it, I realised that it is a perfect size for their little hands and we have put it in a cotton bag and take it every where for her to play with. A brightly painted fun toy, That keeps my 3+ and her pals happy in times of need.

I bought this for my grandson, who had played something similar at playgroup and loved it! It was easy to put together, well made and he hasn't disappointed us by playing for hours and hours with it! It helps hand/eye co-ordination and patience skills really well. He is almost 4 (he was 3 1/2 when I bought it for him) and absolutely loves "fishing".

Lovely bright colours well made and lovely different sea creatures to “fish” for. Only drawback is fitting everything back into the box is a squeeze so kids and I struggle with this task. Each piece has different number on the back so older kids can add the scores up to see you really won and younger ones can simply count their catch.

I bought this present for my niece's birthday (3 yrs) and she loves it. It is beautifully made, wooden, bright colours and the detail is lovely. On the back of the fish they have put numbers so children can also use it as a counting game with scores for the fishing done. Great value for money and a lovely gift!

I purchased this a s a Christmas gift for a friends little girl, it's so much nicer than the nasty plastic fishing games one usually sees. I'm hoping that the little one & her Daddy will have many happy hours of fun "fishing" & as there's 4 rods I'm sure I'll be challenging the to a match very soon.

my 2 year old likes to play with this. it is normally impossible to get him to sit still and play anything, but this he likes.it is very good for the child's brain development to perfect their hand eye coordination and this toys does this very well. so its fun and also very useful for the child.

I bought this for my 3 year old son. He loves playing with it. Yes it is more money than some of the other fishing games but this is made out of wood and is well finished. Each of the fish have a number on the back so it can be advanced to counting and adding scores up when he is a little older.
