I give these guys 5 stars for comfort, you barely know that they're on. I have two big complaints though which make the NRS Kicker Remix shoe a better buy for an extra $10 (although much heavier).1.) These things take on water and keep it there until you drain them......the NRS Kicker does the same, so just be prepared to hike that leg up in the air and let the water run out if you want to avoid having your skin shrivel up on a long paddle session, especially if you're controlling a rudder with your feet.2.) The "sole" on the bottom offers little protection against rocks/gravel. The NRS Kicker shoe got my vote because the sole is much more rigid!

The strap is perfect to ensure a firm fit of the shoe to the ankle, you do not slip back and forth and the fabric nestles wonderfully. A very comfortable shoe, actually exactly as I wanted it! With a shoe size of (lower edge) 40 is the 39.5 unfortunately too small, while running I hit the front. If they are again available, I will probably try them again in 41 and hope that the shoe is not too far and the velcro is not too long.

Absolutely the best thing for early morning paddles in the winter time. Booties are comfortable and warm with enough flexibility to not feel cumbersome or clumsy in them. Highly recommend.
