brought two of them, for 4 and 8 year olds. 4 year old boy twisting it for hours. Watching youtube instructions, he tries hard to learn new shapes. He does dog in seconds. Now learning to do ball, which is bit hard to him, but he has not given up. And he invents himself all sorts of twists and comes to me to show then. Really good toy for my otherwise computer addicted boy. Even I find myself time to time twisting it and just learned to do ball

Bought this as a fiddlestick for my ADHD boy, but it's turned into one of his favourite toys and even teachers have asked to have a go with it. Such a simple thing, but has been a real cure for boredom, with the additional benefit that's easy to take anywhere. Particularly impressively is that unlike previous cheaper snakes it has survived intact after the rough handling of children and being carted around in a school bag all year.

Great quality and each turns really well and easily without any of the resistance or getting stuck that the cheaper models have. You can really tell the quality difference with this Rubik's one compared to the fakes. Don't buy any of the fakes on Amazon that are all made in China and have Chinese writing all over the box and Chinese instructions, plus the Chinese ones look cheap and the coloured parts look marked.

My kids dragged out my 80's version of this and fell in love with it. This Christmas I decided that it was time to get them each one. They love it so much that they even take it to school to show their friends. My 6 year old will sit for hours making different shapes. Also now that they each have one there are no more fights but instead a competion to see who can make what.

Postage on item was really quick! Reminds me of when I was a child and I had a vintage version of this! I haven't opened it yet as it's a present for Christmas, but I feel it will be well used as it's been a number one gift request, I bought 3 of these for each of my kids so will write another review on these later

We bought it for our 5 year old, who pays it occasional attention as we expected, given that it is supposed to be for older kids, but we play with it too. I was quite taken with the idea that you can make any shape so it's not too frustrating in the sense of there being only one solution.

My 10 year old daughter loves this! She prefers it to the traditional Rubik's cube. She likes making all the different shapes such as the giraffe, dog, telephone, ball, snake etc. My daughter says "it's good fun but some things are really hard to make - that's why I give it 4 stars not 5"

I used to spend hours with one of these as a child, now 1 of my sons is doing the same, it can help with focusing the mind for short periods of time and help with relaxation, the bonus is that it is not an electronic gadget. numerous designs and shapes to make. from snake to ball

Bought this for my youngest daughter as the others have 3x3 and 4x4 rubiks cubes, I didn't want her to feel left out christmas morning. She was thrilled to bits, of course she is able to produce some fantastic designs and thinks shes so clever. Inspires imagination.

Arrived well packeged and looks good too, my Son thinks it is a great THING!, he was so quiet in his bedroom I thought he had gone to sleep, but he was just playing with this. good quality and not for young children really, maybe 10 plus, my Son is 12.

Excellent toy. Loved by kids and adults. Worth the extra couple of pounds over the cheaper versions (which we also have) if you want smoother movement and a more robust feel. They are fun and addictive especially getting it back to a ball.

The classics are always the best. This toy sits on my 11 year old's desk, and is picked up from time to time and played with. It isn't as difficult to master as the cube, so less frustrating but has enough combinations to keep him amused.

Great classic toy, not the quality I remember as a child but fit for purpose and has lasted for the few weeks my children (aged 4,7,10) have been playing with them so far! Great alternative to the Sniggle version.

My children use this to amuse themselves at long rehearsals and have really enjoyed it. Brings back memories, we had one when I was little. Seems sturdy enough.

Bought as a present for an iPad obsessed 10 year old and he loved it. Spent ages making various different shapes and seemed to really capture his imagination.
