I bought one of these torches a couple of years ago from a different seller (not Amazon) who had them reduced on clearance. I took a chance that it would be good based on the Ring brand name, which I had come across previously. I'm glad I did! Unfortunately, the original torch died when a cheap battery leaked and got stuck inside it. The first thing I did was try and find another one online, hence this Amazon purchase. This is great little torch that's a lot more powerful that it's diminutive size would indicate. At only 95mm long and 20mm wide, it can easily be dropped in a pocket and forgotten about until you need it. The body of the torch is made from good quality anodised aluminium and is well sealed with o-rings and a waterproof switch on the tail-cap.The reflector is well designed and focuses the light into a nice even beam, giving the torch impressive range for its size. Also included are a battery, wrist lanyard and a belt pouch. Some reviewers have commented that they think this torch is overpriced; I disagree and I think it's excellent value when compared to some other "big name" brands that sell similar products for 2-3 times the price.

I needed a small spare torch for work. The previous torch had been issued required Sure Fire batteries. I always found that the cost of the batteries was far too high considering I might go weeks without using it, only to take it out and find that the batteries were completely flat. I specifically wanted a torch that took AA batteries. This torch is made of a nice sturdy metal, which feels comfortable in your hand. It comes with a wrist strap and only requires one AA battery. I've also found that the battery does run flat if I go several weeks without using it. Which is perfect if I need it in an emergency. The switch/button also feels well made and durable. This torch won't shoot a beam of light into space, but it's quite bright for a small, cheap emergency torch. I'm very happy with this purchase. Great value for money.

Its tiny - fitting in the palm of your hand easily, but the power from this is super. I wanted a powerful torch for spotting my black dog on walks in the dark. With this torch I can easily pick her out 200 yards away (when the batteries are fresh). If you need to be able to see things at a distance in the dark, but don't want to carry a big torch, this is the one for you. If you just need to see where you're putting your feet in the dark, this would be a bit OTT...I'd go for one of the cheaper versions instead - they give a wider but much weaker beam.

I am very pleased with this torch. It fits easily in any pockets, is as bright as you will ever need and the battery lasts for ages and ages.It is small enough to allow you to carry a spare battery on long night-time dog hikes!I am a farmer and use it for wandering between sheds when we feed the cattle each end of the day in winter.Saves switching on the yard lights. Quality is excellent and it is fairly robust. If you have big hands you may well find it a bit fiddly. It is also great for reading under the duvet, if you still do that. Buy one now.

This is the second one of these I have purchased after I gave the first away to someone who needed it more than I did. It is extremely bright, and thanks to the DC-DC converter, retains its brightness right up to when the battery runs out (so you don't get any warning that the battery is low). It's very durable and unlike most other torches I have used, I've never had a problem with the switch or the battery contacts. It comes with a belt pouch, but I don't use that because it's small enough to carry in my pocket. I highly recommend this torch.

I bought this little gem about a year ago and for £11. Ive just came on to buy another and notice the price has almost doubled. Not sure I want to pay £20 for a torch, but this thing takes some beating. Very small, tough and compact; the battery lasts ages, the beam is amazing and it really is the only torch you'll ever need. From walking in unlit areas, woodland and dark gardens, to a general home utility tool, it is an essential piece of equipment and even at the current price its well worth the cost.

I've had one for over a year and it is exceptionally good - bright, economical and no switch problems so far (the fault with so many torches). However, it is a little fussy about the battery - my torch needs to have a tiny little point on the 'sharp' or positive end, otherwise it doesn't make good contact and doesn't work. After about 4 months in my pocket, the little point wears down and the battery needs swapping. May be a rogue torch, but the fault is manageable and I'm ordering another one today!

Bought this torch to use when walking my dog on dark winter evenings, and I'm very happy with it. It provides plenty of light, esp. for it's size. It feels solid, and my dropping it a couple of times hasn't affected it at all. It's about the size of a packet of polo mints, so easily fits in my jeans pocket, and it uses AA batteries which are easier to get than the watch batteries. All this for less than eight quid, great buy.

Incredible beam for such a small torch, did think at the price and spec of it the torch would be larger, however when i turned it on it was obvious that it needed to be no larger, about 3/4 the length of a pencil. Pouch and lanyard provided are good, pouch is slightly fiddly. Torch will light up a building easily from 100m or so. Pleased but knocked off one star as the product is seem very expensive, in my opinion.

I am very pleased with this compact, stylish and very bright torch. I keep it by the bedside so I can jot down items on a notepad without turning on the bedroom light and waking everyone up.The only reason I haven't given this 5 stars is that I have not used it sufficiently often to tell how durable it is. However, I have no reason to believe that my first impressions will be disappointed.

Great little torch and really good value. Good positive clicking action to the sealed switch on the end and great solid little aluminium body on it. Small and light but with a nice clean white light, good enough for walking along a path with. Also comes with a nylon webbing pouch/belth strap. Now i wont even consider using my maglight pen torch.

I bought this for a friend who wanted a palm sized, powerful torch. She is absolutley delighted with it! I was wary about the reports of high battery use, but she uses it for scanning distance when checking livestock rather than walking, this cuts down the use and keeps it for it's strength. It's very powerful for it's size.

Handy enough to keep in a pocket. Brilliant bright beam, beam is reflector focussed not the inferior lens focussed beam common on small LED torches. Takes a single AA battery so is fatter than a single AAA battery torch. Personally I prefer the longer life of an AA battery.Slightly pricy, but you get what you pay for.

I wanted a small, powerful torch. Having researched all the options, I found this one and bought it together with cheaper, larger torches which use two AA batteries. This is so much better that you wonder why the others exist. For a few pounds more, the performance is outstanding.
