This is a really great quality, really well thought out and well built travel cot. We bought this to leave at the child minder's house during the day, she puts it up and down daily when my son comes to stay with her. If -like me- you are worried about whether or not this cot will withstand your extremely active child, don't. This cot is more than capable of containing your miniature bundle of crazy. The design makes it easy to assemble and put away regularly and sturdy enough to take the constant cycle. If you are the type to expect a product just to make complete sense straight out the box without reading anything then you aren't going to get along with this.HOWEVER if you read the instructions once (and they are very clear and easy) everything will make logical sense and you will be putting it up and taking it down in a breeze. Tip: order of your actions in assembly and disassembly is crucial. One criticism is the 'soft mattress', don't get me wrong I know it has to be slim to keep the whole travel thing relevant, but its really really thin. I wouldn't put my son down to nap on that it would seem mean. If you are just using it as a play pen then its fine. I recommend getting an additional mattress and just storing it separately when you put it away.

This item is just what I was looking for - a small cot which we could take between my parents and my husbands parents when we are staying with them. Having read reviews and descriptions I knew upfront that I would need to also purchase a separate mattress as travel cot mattresses are not in any way comfortable. With the mattress I have purchased our 6 month old sleeps perfectly well in this so I am a happy customer. The reason I can't quite bring myself to give 5 stars is that without the purchase of the additional mattress, this product would be entirely useless. The "mattress" which comes with it is literally a piece of foldable wood in a plasticy cover.I realise that this is what makes it portable but without the additional mattress no child would be able to sleep in this and therefore, having to buy an additional mattress means that it isn't portable other than the fact you can fold it down to put it in the car.As I say, I was expecting this and it fits my needs, but if you are looking for something to take on the train/plane or somewhere you need to carry the cot then you can't use this as you absolutely have to have an extra mattress to make it comfortable enough to sleep in.

Bought this for a trip to Spain.I didn't want gizmos and changing tables I didn't want to lug that around. This arrived next day and bearing in mind we've used a family travel cot before that was lent to us which was over 90 pounds I can't believe the quality.Sturdy good basic bed. Mesh is very strong yet not hard on the skin. Easily takes a good scratching from toys being scraped onto it.We put our 11 month old in to try it out she didn't want to leave lol... and she now 3 days in loves playing in there surrounded by toys for ages (pic uploaded). While I'm away working mum finds it handy to pop her in if the door bell goes etc without the worry of what she's up to now she's getting moremobile.Very happy and all pro's no cons.Carry case looks a hard wearing fabric. To those not so much in the know blaming the product, the arms will not lock until the base is flat, nor will they unlock until it's lifted!!

Compared to the other travel cots at triple, even quadruple(!) the price, I was expecting this to be not as good quality and perhaps heavy/difficult to carry/move/erect. How wrong I was. It's sturdy but not very heavy to carry/move. It erects and collapses so easily and quickly and as it is quite compact it doesn't take up too much room so can fit into nice small spaces, which is essential, especially when travelling. The mesh is easy to see through so you can see your baby/child easily, without disturbing them. This is such a bargain buy and is perfect for travelling. With an additional mattress it was used for a month as a stop gap before our daughter's room was ready and it was perfect for this too - the additional mattress was necessary though as the one that comes with it,as with any travel cot, is quite thin and hard. For the odd night though, I don't see that being too much of a problem. Great buy.

We have bought 3 of these travel cots (not from Amazon) one for us and then one for each set of grandparents. It is a great sized cot and really easy to assemble, although if you push the base down first then the side arms won't lock into place; it does tell you this in the instructions though (my father-in-law fails to erect it every time...). Obviously you need to pull up the base before unlocking the side arms when you are taking it down too!The bottom mattress is held in place by Velcro in all 4 corners, so although it folds, there is no danger of it folding up during use. We've had ours for more than five years, with us now being 9 months into using it for our second child and we haven't had any problems with it at all.I can't see any reason for spending more on a travel cot when this is a great size, easy to assemble and very study.

We bought this travel cot to leave at my parent's house and also to take on holiday occassionally and it has certainly been worth the money. It is very easy to put up and collapse down - it only takes a few minutes. It is fairly compact when folded up so convenient for my parents to store when we are not there. However, it's probably a bit heavy and bulky to take on holiday unless you were going by car. The mattress is very thin but we just put a folded up blanket under the sheet and our baby is very comfortable. Recently we have also started using it as a play pen and it is sturdy enough to stand up to our active baby and certainly more economical than buying a proper playpen. As other reviewers have pointed out though - you can find this much cheaper elsewhere so definitely worth shopping around to pick up a real bargain...

I bought this travel cot for two reasons. One for my 4 month old grandson when he comes to stay and the other for the children I look after. It was not expensive and obviously I could have spent a lot more but this is perfectly adequate for what I need. It locks into shape very quickly and easily. I have tried another well known brand and have spent ages trying to lock the top bars into place. The only down side to it is the mattress which is very flimsy and doesn't quite meet the edges. At the moment it is fine for a small baby but I am not sure how well an older toddler would sleep on it when it comes to comfort. It also collapses without any problem and fits back into its carrybag with no hassle. So I would recommend it as I have found the quality very good and very comparable to an epensive one which my friend has.

Amazing buy...we have twins so needed two..space is at a premium so two standard cots wouldn't have fitted....we did have a 'normal' cot that cost about £500 but have put it in the shed...the boys would bang their heads on the wooden slats, which you don't have on these...NHS says you shouldn't use bumpers anymore.....these have soft fabric all round that is perforated ...PERFECT...Plus you can pack it all up and send them of for Granddad/ma time overnight. Would recommend you get a foam mattress as without it would be far to hard ....I am telling all my friends who are preggers not to bother with an expensive cot and to get these instead...it is so easy to collapse and pack to travel and viceversa

Really impressed with this travel cot. I was a bit worried about putting it up myself (usually my other half does any 'construction' work but he wasn't with me) but I needn't have worried. It was really easy (once I'd read the instructions & realised that I couldn't lock the sides up with the base locked down!). Fairly decent mattress - I just covered it with a towel & my 6 mth old daughter slept perfectly in it. Really solid good quality travel cot - glad I didn't splash out on a more expensive one - this one is brilliant. The only slight issue (& it is slight) is that it's a bit heavy but it packs together really well & fits back into its carry bag really easily.I would definitely recommend it.

Bought this for my little girl who's currently too big for her Moses basket but too young I feel to be in her own room in the cot bed we bought her. Really sturdy and a good size, and super easy to pop up and put back down again - folds away neatly and also comes with a zip cover. I purchased a mattress separately for it as other people had recommended that, and I'm glad I did as the base it comes with I wouldn't like my baby sleeping on for long periods of time. I plan on using this when my little girl gets older and starts crawling etc as a play pen, so even with the cost of an extra mattress this is great value and I can see it lasting until she can climb out pretty much!Highly recommend.

I spent weeks researching travel cots because my 8 week old son had outgrown his Moses basket which he napped in during the day. I was going to spend a fortune on one with a bassinet attachment, but I'm so glad I went with this model. I just use a snugglebundl to lift him in and out of it. It took less than 2 minutes to assemble by myself and even less time to put back together. Even the £200 travel cots seem to need an additional mattress, which is what put me off spending that much money in the end. £25 for this cot, and £13 for a foldable mattress (also on Amazon) - money very well spent. Would definitely recommend this cot. It's lightweight, easy to use and transport, and is very sturdy.

This is the first review I’ve ever written on amazon but this product warranted the effort. I wanted a babybjorn travel cot but at £200 odd my husband wouldn’t entertain the idea. After reading lots of reviews I thought I’d give this a go. Well, for the price im very impressed. Easy to put up and down, and not as heavy or bulky as I expected when in its carry case. The mattress is thin as already mentioned, but given I can buy a fold up travel cot mattress quite cheaply I’m still saving £150 and ended up with a robust and sturdy travel cot! Yet to try my little man in it but can’t foresee there being any issues, as it’s for occasional use anyway. Definitely deserves 5 stars!

Bought this travel cot based on the previous good reviews as somewhere safe for my 9 month old to play while I get the chores done. Sturdy construction and quick and easy to assemble and pack away (although my husband struggled... You have to remembr to straighten the top rails by pulling up until they click into place before pushing down the middle section of the base for the mattress. To put down then pull up the base before releasing the top rails to by squeezing the clips, pull upwards and then drop down again to fold inwards). My only issue is the very thin mattress but I haven't found a travel cot with a decent one yet! The additional playmat is worth investing in too.

Best bit of baby kit I have bought so far. Just pops out when you want to use it and squishes back when you want to fold it away. Sturdy and much larger than expected. Folds away into a neat package so excellent for travelling. My baby is 12 weeks and fast outgrowing her moses so I am currently using this as a day alternative to her big cot. Plenty of space to fill with toys and mobiles can be easily attached to the top. You can see through it so can keep an eye on baby when she is in there. Arrived super fast. Great value. Mattress is absolutely fine - certainly comfier than your average moses mattress - just buy a mattress sheet. Cannot recommend enough. Thank you. :)

This is a nice looking travel cot and easy to put up. Just remember to click the sides up before pushing the centre pole down. The only negative is that the heart design that is around the edges isn't on the mattress as shown in the photo here. It is in fact plain pink. It doesn't really matter but it would have looked nicer, and the photo shown here is inaccurate. It's also worth mentioning that the mattress is quite hard and thin with a little filling, as it's just the cover that folds up around the travel cot when it's collapsed. I've bought a mattress to go inside just to make it a little more comfortable. But overall for the price paid it's a nice, sturdy cot.
