This is a great travel cot. I know others have said that it's hard to put up etc, but a bit of patience and following the instructions clearly means it's not difficult at all. Make sure you set all the sides before putting the base down likewise, lift the base before putting the sides down. The board and padding for the base is decent, but if you plan to use this for any length of time then it's worth investing in a proper mattress. I know some people have said their units broke, but like all things there are bound some duds during any manufacturing process. Just unfortunate but the way I see this is that as long as the company who sell it to you change it over until you get a non faulty one, then there shouldn't be a problem. The cot itself is a lovely big size meaning baby has plenty of space to move around. It's sturdy and stable as well. Bear in mind that this does have weight of baby limit - not so much for the base but more to prevent it being ripped over I suspect, but if baby is that weight or size then they are better off in a proper bed to be honest. All in all, I'm really pleased. Delivery was spot on and the company were really polite and helpful, even following up with an email to make sure everything was ok and asking if there was anything I was not happy about...Nice touch!

I bought this item in 2013 as a spare cot for my first child. My third is using it now in 2019. It's not been on every holiday but has weathered a few. And is also used as a spare cot/play pen. We have taken care when travelling to pack it securely - although a couple of airlines did let us check it in with the pram.Definetely recommend getting the babyway non-foldable mattress which actually folds just enough to pack into an adult pillow size (we use one of the plastic carry cases a pilow came in). The cot comes with a soft-ish base which is great to provide a good base layer, but it isn't comfy enough in my experience.Operational notes:It takes a few goes to get the hang of it, so don't give up...Best way I have found is to do the smaller arms first, then the longer ones, then the base lock. The reverse order to fold it back down. The instructions that come with it are pretty clear... above is just what I do now. Each arm locks and unlocks when lifted up at an angle from the straight 180 position. And will not bend down or up once secured, until unlocked by pressing the release lever.

I thought long and hard about buying a travel cot, reading reviews and weighing up pros and cons, before going for the Babyway. I was very pleased with my eventual purchase, so much so I bought two! The first thing to say about this cot is to read the instructions. May seem obvious but if you don't, it will be difficult if not impossible to put it up! If you follow very carefully it is a piece of cake and you will have the cot up in seconds - do not open the cot up too much before snapping the side rails into place. My daughter and daughter in law eventually gave up and we're all ready to write it off as a dud because they just could not get it to work. However, by following the instructions to the letter,no problem. The mattress is thin (it couldn't be otherwise because of its design) but for occasional use it is fine. If you've got a wriggly child, it is quite noisy because of the material of the cot! That said, it is extremely sturdy, excellent value for money, it appears to be well made (so far) and is great for a visiting grandchild. Brilliant play pen too.......

I needed a travel cot for when I look after my grandson. Cot prices I viewed varied from reasonably priced to ridiculous. This one seemed to do everything I required and wasn't overly expensive. I read several reviews for different cots and often the same things cropped up. Either the cots were complicated and frustrating to put up and down, or the mattresses were too hard and thin. Well I can honestly say that this cot is a breeze to put up and down. We had a slight problem getting the mattress to wrap round the folded up cot for storing in its bag but soon realised that the folded cot was fatter round the top end. All we had to do was wrap it round keeping the mattress level with the bottom end and it was fine.As for the hard mattress, yes it is a bit too thin and hard but we just used a folded blanket and tucked it well under all round and the problem was solved. There's really no need to purchase a separate mattress at around £20. All in all a very good buy.

I bought this cot for my new granddaughter, when she comes to stay. It's my third cot now lol as I have two other very young grandsons still using the other cots when they come to stay. I like the fact that it's quite a long cot as my granddaughter is going to be very tall like her brother. His is also a longer cot and I am so glad as he is able to use it for longer. It looks great, it did take me a while to put the cot up first try but on reading the instructions again I realised I should lock the sides first before pressing the middle down. The mattress is ok, the one I bought for my other 'long' cot is much thicker (3") and this one is only 2" but it is quite adequate. Good price for the two items I thought too.I bought some cot sheets from Asda which where the cheapest I could find and they fit the mattress perfectly. Arrived quickly well packed etc So overall a good buy and I would buy it again after looking at many others first.

I had the red kite cot and for some reason (I purchased 2 and both of the bottoms moulded. Not near a damp source or anything so I got rid of the bottom covers as put in my own mattresses anyway. Biggest problem with them cots, they just never wash well but as it turns out they’re also not as big as this one, I compared it next to my old one before getting rid. This is far longer, same width. It’s a fab cot, well made, really sturdy, easily put up and put down, although we keep ours out mostly. Had no mould issues but I have been lifting the bottom out to air and check, although I did with the others and still got it. So this is so much better. Fits a cot mattress in no problems. Easy to wipe down.Looks lovely too. My older toddler likes to climb in with my little toddler so they can sit together and it never budges and my other toddler likes to rock the side, takes it no problem. So well built. Very spacious for her. Brill cot!

As the title of my review suggests, it is indeed a travel cot. A cot that travels neatly too. It folds down neatly and whilst it's heavy it's also pretty sturdy too so you can squash it into the boot of the car without worrying about it breaking.I haven't tried sleeping in it yet, but my 1 year old son said it was ok - but would have preferred a memory foam mattress. It doesn't come with a memory foam mattress - it comes with a thin foam backed wrappable plank type thing that folds out into a base mattress. The nice thing about having a child that cannot talk is that he can't complain I've scrimped on the mattress. It's fine - honestly. Nothing a few nicely layered towels under the bed sheet won't solve. And he slept well for most of the holiday - but perhaps that was the fumes!Anyway, we're all home now and the mattress and cot is tucked up safely for the next time we need it.Night night everyone - sweet dreams!

We chose this cot because of the size - whilst it's slightly narrower than other travel cots, it's longer than them; essentially the same size as a standard cot (NB NOT a standard cot bed). Our daughter rolls around her cot all night so we wanted something with plenty of room for her. It's not too heavy and packs away neatly, and is really easy to assemble - basically just lock the tops and push the base down and it all pops into place. We also bought the mattress for extra padding - you don't need it as the base is slightly padded and would be fine for a few nights, but I wanted something really comfy so got the mattress as well. It's about 3 inches thick and folds or rolls easily to fit into a car.I wouldn't recommend it if you're not travelling by car though! All in all a great travel cot, really good size and easy to pack up, put up and carry around.

This travel cot is identical to almost all the others on the market except it is cheaper which makes the decision to buy it a no brainer. We take the cots wherever we go with our twins and the cots have so far withstood several international flights and car journeys. Assembling and dis-assembling takes about 5 minutes. It can be fiddly but once you know the knack, it works. This is common to all cots as we borrowed other cots from friends the first time we went away. My only minor complaint is that the straps can't be tied together which means it is liable to get caught or trapped on luggage carousels. My trick is to get the airline to wrap the luggage tags around both straps. Also, you should ensure it is checked in at the 'oversized luggage' counter as in theory it should then be handled with care. Why pay more - buy this cot!

Absolutely love this travel cot, brilliant value for money - couldn't believe how good quality it is. Not too hard to set up, needed help from my partner as I had never set one up before. But once you've got the nack (doesn't take long) you can set it up in less than a minute! Only problem I found at first was putting the cot and hard mattress back into the bag it comes with. It's quite hard to place the hard cover around the closed travel cot (it comes like this so you what I mean) and when I eventually got it in the bag and tried to close it the zip broke however this isn't really an issue for me as I bought this for mum's house. This may be an issue for you if going on holiday or travelling.I also bought the baby way fold away mattress with this product which goes brilliantly in it. Very happy would definitely recommend.

A good sized cot which folds away very compactly which is brilliant for travelling with. The mattress supplied is not actually suitable to sleep on as it's very thin but ideal to use if child is playing in the cot - I purchased a seperate 120 x 60 x 10 cm matters which fits perfectly and ideal for long period's of sleep. It took a while to lock all 4 sides as it was quite tough and pulling them too hard meant that the bottom material was tearing away from the base. My suggestion is placing your feet on the metal base and then lifting up the side firmly but slowly until you hear a gentle click which means it's locked in place. I have now got the hang of it after assembling it several times.Very secure once locked. I would suggest assembling and disassembling a few times before you really need to use it as practice helps.

This is a very well engineered cot. It is both strong when assembled and also smaller than you would imagine when folded. It folds into approximately the size of a small gym holdall. It is also reasonably lightweight. We find it very useful when we stay away at hotels/friends/relatives to just put this in the boot and not have to worry about what cot the other end might have. One thing to consider: the "mattress" it comes with is not really that suitable for use as a mattress (probably fine if used as a playpen base). Definitely get a folding travel mattress to go with this - they're not expensive and look much more comfortable for your child. I would recommend the Mother Nurture Coolmax Quad-Fold /Folding Travel Cot Mattress with Carry Bag (119 x 59 cm) that we got to go with this

Bought this travel cot for my 7 month old's first holiday, having reviewed many of the other travel cots that are out there. The best thing about it is that you can assemble and disassemble in seconds - it's really easy (and noticed that alot of the other cots lost points for being too complicated). Since we were travelling around alot, this was key!The only drawback was that my little one didn't sleep awfully well in it, even when I padded the mattress, but, as I understand it, this seems to be the main problem with all travel cots, or just the fact that you are taking your baby out of his usual routine (plus he loves to snuggle into his cot bumper at home).Fantastic price, alittle larger and lighter than other products, I would highly recommend this particular cot.

PRO: This cot is only £35, which from looking at it assembled is an absolute bargain. It is also really easy to assemble.CON: My only bug bear is that the hard (but its what i expected for such a cheap cot) matress wraps around the frame when dismantled....and i personally have found it very fustrating to try and put back in the manner it arrived in, I have to get my partner to do it and even then he has pulled it so tight it looks like it might rip so im not sure how long it will be until we break it- but then you put a blanket over it to make it softer anyways so it may not be a problem this is why I only knocked off one star.In summary, good value for a cheap cot, while I find it fustrating now I think its a grower.

Honest review. It was a little confusing to put up but then again we didnt read the instructions properly. Please remember the bottom cannot be clicked flat for the sides to click in place, got to click sides first then click the base down....woops! Nearly threw out window. Its a good size! My tall 15 month old loves it. I took away a star because even with the provided mattress you can still feel the bars of the cot underneath. When little one stands, she stands on the bars. Also the feet arnt level. We had to put bent cardboard to keep it level otherwise it would rock side to side. All in all it will do for sleep overs round friends and families so one night will be okay..will have to putin a extra mattress tho.
