I've been riding with this jacket for about a month now and am experiencing it as the weather is changing from cold to spring like. Starting with features and fit, it's hard to fault. The reflectivity is extraordinary, cars definitely give me a wide birth and there's no fear of being missed at night. In the day time it's a different story, you become the colour of london sky and personally I wear a brutally ugly green high visibility helmet for that reason. Fit is good, I am 6'2" with long arms and there are no issues. If I were to be picky I would say that the raised curve at the bottom of the front of the jacket is too accentuated to the point where you wouldn't want to wear this jacket once you climbed off the bike as it looks like you shrunk your coat in the wash. Also being picky again, the armpit ventilation zips need to be easier to grab a hold of, it's difficult without gloves and impossible with.Coming back to the change of seasons, I put the jacket on this morning over a work shirt and a thin hoody. The temperature was 11 C with some cloud cover. What this showed me was that the jacket is NOT breathable in the slightest - to be fair it doesn't claim to be - but be aware, you get very wet very quickly even with the vents wide open. That is why it's 60 quid and not 260. So Proviz, please think about releasing an Event or Gortex version - I would probably pay the difference

Brilliantly visible - and wind and waterproof. The vents work well to stop it being too sweaty - but the fabric scuffs , scratches and tears easily - mine caught on a door handle and a small split spread just while I was examining it - hoping tape will repair it as otherwise it's a great jacket and I only wore it a few times...before it split - however I'd still recommend it and say go for the hooded version - because safety is really important and this this the *only* hi-viz jcket that has come close to a comfortable fitOn a more general note - I am *really* fed up with having to buy men's jackets and trousers -- stupidly - cycling/outdoor manufacturers think women above size 14 don't wantto be active...Due to this stupidity I was expecting a snug fit and glad I went for the men's xxlI would *prefer* a long, generous, women's cut rather than having to buy men's outdoor jackets with absurdly long arms and 3 sizes up to accomodate hips !*HINT TO MANUFACTURERS* : remember 50% of the population (both men and women) are a size 16/xxl and above..... and this segment of the population has the money and will to buy good techical clothing for hiking, cycling, photography, fishing, birdwatching, watching sport and participating....

Most probably the best thing you can wear for cycling in the dark other than a sack full of lights - incredible, you look like a ghost! In previous reviews there was a warning about the sizing of the jacket, but since my previous jackets were all XL with plenty of room, I was happy to have it a little tighter. However, in cold weather, I also where a hoody, and this made the jacket a little more tighter than my older (cheaper) ones - coupled with the fact that I normally have a bum-bag with bits in under the jacket (I'll have to think of some way different to carry my glasses and other bits I need for work. The pockets are well placed, although the openings are a little smaller than most (a mobile phone for example has to go in shortways whereas on other jackets it went in longways. Not an issue, but plenty of room inside.Elasticated wrists made things a little more comfortable that cheaper jackets I've had, and the neck is very comfortable too (although not with the hood of the hoody outside! All in all a great jacket for visibility (my primary concern on my commute into and out of London), although had the size been the same as my other 3 jackets (XL) I'd have given this 5 stars

Fantastic product, couldn't have asked for a better jacket when commuting on my bike to work. It been my companion for over a year now and I'm sure it has saved me both bike and limb. There are a few things to be aware of...1) The breathability of the jacket is not the greatest. The jacket does have ventilation on the back and under the arm pit which work well. I wear a backpack and with that find that it doesn't wick away sweat very well. Having said that, it is warm on the coldest of days and waterproof so I don't mind.2) I have found that the coating started to peel on places where it was folded or scrunchted up. This is disappointing and started within a few months (of heavy use). This doesn't effect the reflectivity as much as it waterproofing. Now when it's raining hard the jacket will start to leak where it has pealed. I haven't had a crash or trauma to the jacket. In summary, this is the perfect cycling jacket and I would/will buy another one in a heart beat. After a few weeks the reflective coating can peal causing rain to get in. I know that Proviz website has a 1 year warranty, but I don't know if this applies on amazon.

Wanted a cycling jacket for those early morning/ late evening cycle rides home. This jacket does the job perfectly. It is made from the silver material that normally is contained within HiVis jackets so is ultra reflective. It contains 2 smallish zipped pockets on the front, which is just about large enough for my Lg G3 smartphone. There is a large pocket on the back (as is common with cycle jackets) and a small inside pocket (which again would fit a reasonably sized smart phone). There is also zipped vents under the arms to increase air flow.Riding home in heavy rain yesterday the jacket kept me lovely and dry without much undue sweating. My only gripe - and hence one missed star - is the sizing.I am a large in all cycling jackets- bordering onto a medium. But this jacket fits very snugly. You certainly wouldnt be bale to layer up in the winter. All in all a good jacket, my only advice would be if you like a loser fit, between sizes (or maybe in denial about your increasing size) or want to layer up then order at least one size up.

This product appears to work great. It's hard to see the actual glow unless you are looking at it from the source of the lights so you don't appreciate it when you're wearing it. I was told by a motorist at the lights that it was a very bright reflection so I'm confident it's doing the right job.The only issue is that you need direct lights on you so if a car is pulling out of a side street it won't see you until you're right in front of it so don't expect it to know you're coming. Lights will help with this.I use an electric bike so take it from that perspective. I don't get hot and sweaty when I ride. The jacket is not that warm and I'm happy I went a size up so I can wear another jacket underneath.Even now as autumn rolls in(September london) I need to wear a jersey underneath it as it's too cold to just wear my work shirt.I have noticed some threads around the sleeve coming a bit lose so not too confident in a long durable life out of it but time will tell.

The size - at least the XS size - is extremely snug. I'm a small woman, 5'0" or 1m55 and an ordinary build, not particularly fat or thin, so I thought the extra small man's size would be fine. But it's pretty tight on me. And when I spread out the hem to its full width and held it against the hem of my Lidl women's medium size cycling jacket, it's about five inches or 16cm shorter, so suitable for a velociphile leprechaun. It's grey in daylight, but yowza luminescent when headlights hit it, which is what you want.I'd recommend wearing a fluorescent gilet over it at dusk because as another reviewer says, unless drivers have their headlights on,it's grey then and fades into the road. It's not fantastically waterproof - on a "soft Irish day" (downpour) when I took it off, the jacket I wore under it was sodden at the elbows… though perhaps that's the result of the underarm ventilation… though I don't think so, because it was only the elbows that were sodden.

It's reflective in a very odd way. When you're wearing it, looking down just looks grey, but people keep saying things like "woah, so shiny" and "I'm sure you know this, but you're jacket is trippy!". Drawing attention is basically the point of it, so I'd say good job, and no-one's run me over while cycling wearing it (yet). The back of the jacket is extended to protect against mud splatter whilst cycling which seems like a good idea (though I've never put it to the test since I have a mudguard). The arms are nice and long meaning if you forget your gloves they'll cover your hands a bit.Two things to be aware of:It's not very breathable. However, the unzippable under-arm vents do help a bit.The bottom of the front is slightly too short - doesn't cover a normal t-shirt underneath. It makes it look weird anytime except when cycling, but hey, that's what it's for, and everyone's too busy looking how shiny it is to notice anyway.

I really like this jacket. I bike commute, often at night. Visibility is really important and I don't think there's a more reflective jacket on the market. I often get comments from other bikers, even drivers, just how visible I am.That said, I'm holding back on five stars for a few reasons - front pockets are way too deep making it hard to reach my phone and keys. Also, beware of sizing - I'm 5' 10" so usually between small and a medium. The medium I first purchased was more like XXL, so I returned it for a small, but I'm now wishing for an extra small. Last, the jacket is slightly heavier than I'd like for our mild Northern California climate (that's not a complaint, just an observation).All-in-all, I'm willing to make these tradeoffs for great visibility. Happy cycling!

This jacket definitely turns heads, in the right way. The (medium size) fit was as expected, I am slightly above a medium (6¨1 and 176lbs) and it fits me well, is a bit tight around the waste but at the arms and shoulders it is perfect. I found that the ventilation zips really help when riding my bike, and the rear part slots over my saddle to stop mud hitting me. In terms of build quality, there's a slight rip on the front bottom that is barely noticable but hopefully will not get any worse (that's why I gave it 4*). Safety wise it is extremely reflective, and waterproof (although when it is raining the raindrops look like UV paint on the jacket). Would recommend for style and functional purposes. If you are between a size, go for a size up to ensure ease of movement.

Outstanding jacket for riding and jogging! I'm 6' 0" 200 lbs with an athletic build and originally ordered a Large based on some of the other reviews. The Large did fit but it was too tight for anything more than a t-shirt underneath and it restricted my flexibility to get in a riding position. The Amazon exchange process worked flawlessly and now I have an XL that fits great. As with most riding tops, the sleeves and back side are slightly longer to provide coverage in a bent over riding position. One thing I would like to note is that the zipper attaches opposite what most men's jackets or pants do; the pull part of the zipper is on the left side rather than the right.I'm not sure if this is a European thing since the jacket is made in the UK.

quite expensive but awesome to have this cycling in darkness. i feel safer and very visible at night now. it's VERY bright and as a jacket its probably not the best, arms are out of proportion compared to the rest of the jacket and its quite short at the back and front...but pockets and ventilation are good and the main thing is...its incredibly difficult to miss when lights shine on it. i would ignore reviewers who say the sizes are all wrong, i ordered a smaller size because of what other reviewers said and consequently got the wrong size and had to start again...i suggest go for the normal size you go for but be warned, yes,the arms are very long and baggy.....a minor stress to me personally.

Absolutely fantastic. Lights up like a street light! My husband finds that when cycling to and from work, in the dark, that drivers give him a far wider berth in this jacket as opposed to general hi vi. I think it is because it is so bright drivers are merely protecting their vision;-) This jacket is especially great for night cycling but not so effective during the day or twilight - general hi vi would be better at these times. However, here in N E Scotland we have a long winter and very long dark days so this is perfect. The fit is good and the length of the arms is generous too. The cuffs velcro tighter if need be and the back of the jacket dips down to cover your bum.Pockets are handy too.

Top top quality item. Drivers definitely notice you on the road when cycling ( and they move out of the way) giving you space to ride. I would order a size bigger from your usual as it is almost made to measure with no extra material for another layer should you need one on a cold morning ride but that aside this is just an amazing innovative product that will make you extremely visible. The other thing to add is when wearing this all you see is a silver grey jacket you do not see the shine that others see due to amazing light refraction technology. Cant praise this enough its an absolute life saver.

This really has to be seen to be believed. In daylight, this coat looks like a fairly conservative light grey, but at night, in a car's headlights, it's bright, bright white, You can demonstrate the effect yourself using the LED flashlight on your phone.Inevitably, being a waterproof, you can find yourself getting a bit sweaty inside, but there are plenty of vents to help you regulate your temperature. The coat is fairly wind proof, and has a proper cycling cut: slightly longer at the back to keep you covered as you bend to the handlebars.
