I recently bought four or five different pens/markers from Amazon looking for one that was REALLY erasable. I haven't yet received or tried the others, but they'll have to be pretty good to beat this one. IT IS REALLY ERASABLE. However, to be fair, I'll be returning after testing all of them. Until then, I have only two more things to say: (1) You have to be careful when erasing. I just erased some marks I had made in a paperback book for testing. I was able to remove the test marks but I also partially removed the printed text. I'm hoping that the print in a hardback book, being printed on better grade paper, won't be so easy to remove. Hell, why speculate?I just did the same thing in a hardback book and the results were different. True, the printed text was worn away but to a much lesser extent than with the paperback book, and I did manage to erase ALL of the marks I had put there for testing. The moral is, when you make marks, place them in such a way that they will be easy to remove without disturbing the printed text. (2) I am eighty years old, so I have used more than a few ballpoint pens in my life, but I have NEVER seen the method this pen uses to retract/produce the point. I had already started to compose in my mind a nasty review about low-quality pens that didn't work when I tried sliding the clip. That did it. To retract or produce the point, you just slide the clip back and forth. That's all until I try out the other pens.

I ordered reusable notebooks from an Indiegogo campaign; while they haven't shipped yet, they come with these pens (which are what work the real magic), so I thought I'd jump the gun and order a few extra of these and try them out. They work excellently, and exactly as described. They are "easy" writing pens (don't require a lot of pressure to write, the ink flows easily, but not to the extent that it's too much). The ink is "erased" through heat, and these pens have a rubber stub as an "eraser" that generate friction when you rub it on the paper, making the ink in these pens "disappear." Unlike a traditional eraser, the stub doesn't really wear down when you use it,so it should easily last the life of the pen.Back in the 70s we had "erasable" pens that were kind of a disaster; the ink stayed wet and smudgy for far too long. The ink in these pens is light years ahead of that; essentially smudge free right after writing. The ONLY reason I'm subtracting a star is because the black ink is not as "black" as a "traditional" black ink. It's not that terrible, but I can't subtract fractions of a star, so I just wanted that to be a known to anyone reading the review - it's certainly not enough to not buy and use these.I did NOT receive any kind of discount or promotion for my review, so you can believe it.

My son requested this specific brand for school. At first I was hesitant because I don't want to buy something just because all the other kids have it. No kidding, this pen is like no other erasable pen. I highly recommend it to any and all students who are required to use erasable pens. The ink flows consistently, and erases cleanly. This will be my go-to pens for my son until they are to use normal pens for school.Update: I ordered more of these pens, because inevitably pens don't get brought home from school for projects due the next day. MOM TIP: leave a pen or two in your pen drawer, and another pen or two in your purse (the purse is some place you'll have a backup that's not easilyaccessed by your student.)

A former co-worker introduced me to these pens. I immediately told him I wasn't interested as I was on the forefront of erasable pens in the 80s. Then he proceeded to show me how they are NOTHING like the pens from the 80s. I'm not a scientist or an engineer or a chemist or a physicist, so I have no idea how these pens work, I only know that they do. This is my fourth or fifth purchase of these pens and as I use them at work, I end of giving one or two away to people who are completely amazed by the complete erasing of ink by these pens. I highly recommend buying them... but be forewarned, you will wind up giving some away.

I absolutely love these pens!I first saw them used on Project Runway and thought... I should give them a shot. I'm so glad I did. These aren't the 'erasable pens' of your middle-school years. These are magic. I bought them specifically for use in a schedule book so that I can erase, and reschedule customers without having to break out the white-out, and I will never go back. Not only have they allowed my schedule book to be more legible, they also are saving me a bunch of money that would otherwise be spent on whiteout!Thank you, Pilot, for these pens, and thank you Project Runway for introducing them to me!

The pen is pretty good. I used it for Officer Candidate School, for the United States Marine Corps. The only problem that I seemed to have with it is that the ink looks pretty diluted and a bit faded. Compared to a standard pen, the ink is not as vibrant. It may be the reason why it is erasable, but who knows. I noticed that if you try to erase the ink after a certain period of time, there is a yellow residue left on the paper, in place of the ink. It wasn’t a big deal to me, but for those that want a completely clean look, it can be an issue. If you errase immediately after writing, it doesn’t show.

I've been buying these pens (in all colors) for 3 years now! I will never not buy these pens. They are one of my favorites! I erase A LOT but love to use pens. So this product is perfect for me! It writes smoothly, and erases cleanly. You don't have to press hard when you erase bc what erases the ink is the heat of friction. Heat is what erases this type of ink, so you could just as easily erase by applying heat to the paper with a hair dryer or a lighter. WORD OF ADVICE: DO NOT LEAVE A NOTEBOOK IN A HOT CAR IF YOU'VE USED THESE PENS TO WRITE IN IT WITH. ALL YOUR WRITING WILL BE GONE IF YOU DO!

The first few weeks I had these I was overjoyed! A friend recommended them, they write as smoothly as a normal pen, no smudging, and they erase SO easily and cleanly! I used them in my planner to quickly change my appointments. Because I love them so much I even taped a note with my name on them in case I misplace them around the office. My only complaint is that the ink runs out pretty quickly. After a month of using a single pen it completely died on me (and the eraser was still completely intact!). Not sure how long these are supposed to last but I was a little disappointed.

Erasable pens that ACTUALLY work!! I will say it doesnt erase well if the ink is still wet. so if you know you made a mistake let it sit a bit, then erase. And when you go to write on top of what you erased you almost have to coat it a little more. I know that doesnt make the most sense, it's hard to explain. But I love these. I've given several away after people have used them and loved them. I used to have to keep track of sales stats at work and if I used pencil it got smudged and sloppy. So it was nice to have these pens. Not have to use white out when I mess up a number.

They do what pens do! But wait, erase? Whaaaaaaaaaaaa? But seriously, good pens, and works with the "Everlast" notebook to boot.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071Y3MSRK/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_77?th=1I'd say, though, given their price, to be honest, I bought them for their interactivity with the notebook. But I find myself using them all the time as "regular" pens anyhow so it worked out anyhow. But to be honest, my favorite make and model of pen is the Bic Atlantis, which ends up cheaper by the numbers than this pen. That's why I gave them 4/5 stars.

I purchased these to use in my classroom for some of my students who frequently lost their pencils, or who may have purposely broken them to talk to their friends on the way to get a new one. Not only did it eliminate these specific students from getting up constantly, but they loved that they got a "special" pen. They took really good care of them and other students started to do extra things to help and would ask if they could get a special pen as a reward.I highly recommend these for teachers who have students who go through pencils like candy!

My husband bought these for me, and I love them. My schedule can change in an instant and I'm one of those that have to have a paper planner, so it's nice to be able to put my plans down in pen, and yet still be able to change them if needed. I will say these only erase maybe 85% of the ink, so you will have a faint reading of what you wrote, even if you write on top of that spot. Not sure if the other colors do that, but they are not completely eraseable like a pencil, so if that's what you're wanting do not get these.

These pens and notebook are great! I received the notebook as a gift and bought these for when my pen ran out. The pens do run out quite quickly compared to normal pens (I am a student and business owner, so I take ALOT of notes), but this is a great price for what you get. I am still using them even after multiple months. They were difficult to get used to, as I like a 0.5mm pen usually but after that these worked well. Glided, didn't leak or break, and the eraser was the best I've used on a pen. Will buy again.

I originally started using these pens when I got my first Rocketbook reusable notepad, but now I use them on everything. They are great for my planner, when dates or obligations change I can keep everything looking clean and streamlined by erasing instead of crossing out or using whiteout. Normally I swear by G2 Pilot pens, but these give them a run for their money. The ink does look a little washed out and more grey in comparison, but the added features are well worth the trade off.

First of all, I love pens, writing supplies, anything at an office supply store. I have pens upon pens from all over the world. I always default to these pens. They write good, the erasing function is good for school, and the ink is very pigmented. Writing with the pen is pretty comfortable and I don't have issues with the ink skipping.Cons:If you write a lot, the ink depletes fast. However, you can buy refills in bulk and they are inexpensive.
