I see a lot of mixed reviews. It's always important to check compatibility with your motherboard and processor before getting new RAM, especially when intending to overclock it. Motherboards only support up to 2133MHz, previously 1333MHz (or there about, it's been a while since I did my research). Since any overclock has to be the user's decision, the default BIOS settings will always cap the hardware to the highest "stable" speed stated by both the hardware component itself and the motherboard. It's also possible to have RAM that will work with a system, but not be able to be utilised to its full potential due to other limitations, such as the rate that data travels on the board itself. There are plenty of websites, such as pcpartpicker, that will allow compatibility checking and flag any issues without the user needing to have any technical knowledge on the subject. There are also numerous software tools to set up overclocking, provided by motherboard retailers such as MSI, Gigabyte, ASUS, etc. Each of these tools work differently, and the various components possible in a build make for a lot of factors that these tools must consider. They aren't perfect, and are known to cause unstable settings in some cases. Sometimes it'll be a case of trial-and-error to achieve the settings which provide you with a stable, if not optimal, overclock. In such cases, it's best to find a trustworthy guide. If you've looked around in the BIOS, you'll know that there are a lot of settings; it's not always clear what each one does or whether or not it would be a good idea to modify it. The smallest change can cause your system to fail to boot, and then you need to try to reset everything and start from scratch. For me, there was no issue with the RAM, directly. I got it because I was buying a new motherboard and CPU and my then-current RAM was incompatible, and I knew my new system would be able to handle the new speeds. That said, I did need to adjust my CPU settings after I overclocked the RAM, though. 16GB of this RAM overclocked to 3773MHz well out performed my older 24GB RAM. I plan to buy it again when I find myself able to justify the cost to double up to 32GB. That's not to say this RAM is overpriced, but it is still an expense.

Only took a chance on these as the price seems excellent for what you get, running with a 10700k on a MSI Z490 Unify, bought 2 kits and have them running at 4266mhz.Sadly one kit arrived with one stick dead on arrival, however have since replaced it and running 4 sticks. I've been running them nearly a month now.I'm unable to run windows without freezing at xmp 4400, and xmp 4266 does boot but isn't fully stable, need to tweak the settings to get it going. Its worth noting with 2 sticks whilst I was waiting for another kit to arrive xmp was stable at 4266, however 4400 was not for me.I'm impressed and at the same time disappointed, the default timings don't actually seem that much faster than the 3200 CL16 lpx vengeance I had prior, however if your the patient type or can find settings with your motherboard they really do increase the speed. I used settings from Actual Hardcore Overclocking on youtube which worked nicely then altered a little bit more. By chance he had a video with the same motherboard and ram!I've never bought fast ram before, the prices always seem insane, but for 32gb of fast ram this seems pretty reasonable considering what most of the competition are offering, would I buy it again? maybe. It kind of justifies the silly over the top motherboard I have, if you enjoy tweaking and testing its worth it.Considering I was initially looking at 32gb kits for £400+ for 4000mhz kits this is amazing value for money, yes its expensive, but its less than £300 for 4400mhz rated ram for 32gb, that's some considerable price difference and for faster ram!

I had initially purchased Corsair Vengeance 3200 RAM for my new build Ryzen 3600 PC. The memory initially worked fine. Then I started to get continual random shutdowns. Having run other tests it pointed to a chipset drive on my MSI B450 Carbon AC system. I swapped out the motherboard for an X570 and initially, all was good. But gradually again I started to have issues. Anything like BF5 or Just Cause 4 would play solidly for 30 minutes on average before I'd get a blue screen crash. I played with various BIOS settings and could only get stability if I underclocked the ram which gave me 10% hit on FPS performance. Tried the Vengeance 3600 variant and experienced similar problems. Finally saw the 3866 Viper Steel series from Patriot and for me, it's been a game-changer. I can run the ram at full speed thanks to the X570 bios - no more crashes, the system is 100% stable. Had no crashes on Battlefield and getting a decent uptick in FPS performance.. I'm a longtime Corsair customer and was nervous about Patriot, but it's honestly been the best decision I've made on the build. No more headaches, if you've got a Ryzen 5 3600 and an X570, then this is a no brainer and also a fair bit cheaper than other alternatives.

I'm sure this RAM is great in any motherboard that has it on it's QVL.Unfortunately I was a moron and did not check this before purchasing thus leading to many months of attempting to get the RAM to run at anything other than stock speed (XMP disabled) without my computer BSOD'ing either during boot or playing games or even at idle. I could only ever run Memtest86 without errors on stock settings with XMP disabled otherwise it would return hunderds of errors within a few minutes...I tried pushing voltage as high as 1.45v (which is far higher than I am actually comfortable running memory at constantly),tried running at a lower speed all the way down to 3000mhz and attempted to relax timings but could never get it to run comfortably which is a shame.Unfortunately I have had to purchase another brand which was on my motherboard's QVL and runs perfectly at 3600mhz on stricter timings at lower voltage.Live and learn. Don't be an idiot like me :)

This is excellent memory. It comes with Samsung B-Die which is what you want for high end overclocking. Unfortunately my board (ROG Maximus X Hero) could only manage 4000MHz 17-18-18-35 (2T) but given a better board would easily hit 4400 I'm sure. Don't let 'tech gurus' fool you into thinking higher latency means lower performance, you're still running HIGHER FREQUENCY. I've already seen an improvement in DX12 and Vulkan games using this memory from previous Corsair 3000MHz. Would recommend.Edit: I've managed to tighten timings down to 17-17-17-34 @4000MHz by increasing VCCIO to 1.25 and VCCSA to 1.26. Super happy with these timings, excellent memory.

I bought these based on a review by Buildzoid from Actually Hardcore Overclocking. Given I had previously paid about the same amount for some 3600 MHz memory I am amazed at the vlaue for money Patriot delivers with this 16GB 4400Mhz Cl19 kit. Threw them into my ITX Ryzen 2 machine, slapped in the recommended memory configuration for 3733 MHz (CL14) and even with the voltage a bit lower (1.4V) than the recommendation these sticks have thrown 0 errors in Memtest with 4 concurrent tests on the go.The heatspredders could be better, but your value for money is the silicon itself. Unbeatable in Q2 2020 for value for money.

Upgraded from gskill 2400 oc.I was hesitant about this kit however I installed on my B350 pc mate board with latest firmware as of this date, enable xmp2 and boom straight to 3200mhtz so was very pleased. I stressed the cpu r5 1600 and gpu 1050ti or 5 hours with some benchmarking and mostly gaming and got no errors on 1 day usage.Very happy so far. I would recommend at this point. time will tell if I have an issue. Needless to say. This will get an edit as more time passes. Good price and very happy so far. Slightly taller than the g. Skill but I am using stock cooler no problem.

With 2 kits i.e. 4 dimms, I was stable with DRAM calc 1.7.0 3800 fast preset with a little adjustment to tWR (see screenshot) & tRFC. Used TM5 default@usmus_v3 for stabiliity check. You can see from the screenshot that I equal the best time for Membench in DRAM calculator. There is no RGB which is a + but unfortunatley there is no dimm temperature sensor either unlike my Corsair Vengene Pro RGB 3600M2ZC18, but these two kits blow that kit out of the water performance wise. Its samsung b-die at least at 4400 rated.

I wanted to make sure I got Samsung B-die ram and can confirm these sticks (if you buy above 4000mhz kits) are indeed B-die. Amazing value for money. I bought the 4000mhz kit and have downclocked to 3600mhz so I could dial in the timing and get blazing low latency. At 1.45v i'm hitting 14-14-14-28-280-65535 with perfect stability which is awesome.Just a tip for new buyers. If you want to run over 3600mhz make sure you board is using t-topology and not daisy chaining for the dimm slots.

Those rams are very good. I was able to use them with my bios settings and set them up to 3800mhz with 16CL, stable no problem at all. Later I decided to return them and swap them for 4400mhz. because I am becoming overclock enthusiasm and I know that I can put same amount of frequency with even tighter timing from them. Still amazing value for moeny and definitely recommended for anyone who is not too serious about squeezing every percent out of their PC.

Good Looking, Very fast memory with great Value for the money. The memory does have certain compatibility issues that took a while and a few memory trainings to get stable. Will not overclock as running close to max timings already. Overall though, for the money, this is excellent value and if a bios update or mem training scares you....you might want to consider just buying a pre made system..

Excellent ramDoes 4400mhz CL19 which means for Ryzen it will do 3733mhz CL14 which is the fastest that Infinity Fabric will support at it's native speed, which means +20% fps for gaming and much lower minimal fps drops.I don't game however so I just run it at 3600mhz CL14. When it drops back down to £150 I will pick up another pair for 32GB 3600 CL16!

24.5.2019

Might be good with ryzen 3000 processors. Definitely worth the value, 4000mhz was £129 for a while, but I didn't get to test it, because the fact that the price kept changing so I got a cheap 3333mhz ram for now but I might buy this when upgrading the ram and 2600 to ryzen 3600 or 4600 next year if that comes out.

So this memory isn't listed on my motherboard QVL list, I have an X570 TUF, but it's working fine with it.The xmp profile didn't load for me yesterday, but today it loaded fine when I set it in the bios. Maybe the chipset did some training in the meantime or something, but all is good anyway. Working fine.

There very good for the price and since there micron chips they shouldent eie soon but I couldent get them past 2666mhz on the 3000 MHz kit probably my ryzen 7 2700x and x470 board issue but otherwise they work perfectly especially since there half the price of competitors
