Parker 2025441 'VECTRA' Rollerball Pen – BLACK with Chrome TrimParker are the go-to name for quality writing instruments in the form of propelling pencils, ball pens (of many styles) and of course fountain pens. The brand goes back over more than a hundred years, and has always been known for reliability. (I am still using the Parker "Flighter" Stainless Steel Ball Pen, which I bought for my Dad back in the mid 1960's.)• This 'VECTRA" Rollerball Pen in finished in Black with Chrome Trim, and is simply presented in a white based, blacked sleeved box. The pen lays on a charcoal grey rest, alongside the Rollerball Refill to insert in the carcass of the pen. There is also a multilingual information leaflet in the box.• The Pen has a pull off / push on cap, which can be pushed on to the end of the pen whilst in use. After use, the pen cap goes on smoothly and settles in place with a reassuring 'click'.• The Pen Cap has the trademark Parker Arrow clip, which is strong and is a good facility for anyone wanting to secure the pen into a top or inner suit jacket pocket, or for ladies who wish to 'anchor' it in their handbag for easy access.• The body of the pen and the cap is in plain, shiny black plastic. The tip of the pen and front end is in brushed stainless steel. The quality seems good without being too heavy. The simple cylindrical shape of the pen is understated.• The Rollerball refill that comes with the "VECTRA" is a MEDIUM 0.7 point in BLUE. The refill is Made in France. In use, I found the pen to be well balanced and comfortable to hold, with or without the pen cap on the end of the barrel. It was quite smooth to write with and there are various other refills available.

A bargain basement Parker, that writes perfectly from the word go. It's in a standard lightweight Parker presentation box, out of the box it doesn't look heavyweight or particularly impressive, but the price doesn't reflect that either. The plastic case is lightweight, but the brushed metal holder is suitably stylish, and it has a Parker clip for the top pocket. This would be a good gift for someone who you fear would probably lose a more expensive Parker, it's nicely presented, it writes beautifully, as you would expect, even if it doesn't have the weight in your hand of a more costly pen. If someone admits to losing this within a month of getting it, there's no need to break your heart. It came with a blue ink refill fitted, black ones are easily sourced. When so many documents require black ink these days, I'm really not sure why blue refills are still being made. Anyway, that's a minor point. A bargain-basement Parker that works perfectly.

I didn’t really like the appearance of the pen when I first open the box. Dark blue plastic. Very boring. However it writes very well.I love writing with all kinds of pens with a strong preference for fine nibs. This Vector rollerball writes very smooth, very clear rollerball writing. No blobs or scratchy bits. The pen is labelled as having a medium nib but I think it is more of a fine size and that suits me.I think the pen could have been of better appearance but it is perfectly functional. So I am happy to recommend it as a pen to carry around or at home. It is much better to write with than a biro and not as messy as a fountain pen.Parker is such an old long standing company .Most of my school pens were all Parker and I think they are still an excellent brand. The pen comes in a presentation box to making it also appropriate as a gift.

Owning a Parker pen is probably a right of passage, or it certainly used to be. This pen comes in a lovely box, so gifting it is a good strategy. The red colour is not especially feminine, it's a smart red, allowing this to used by either gender in the class room or office. The ballpoint allows for very easy writing; it flows smoothly and is not at all scratchy, a common issue with cheaper pens. However, it is very lightweight. For occasional use, I actually found this a little distracting, however for school use where there is a need to write for longer periods (especially exams) this is an ideal pen to use. Ensure the student can use blue ink though, although you can purchase black ink refills if required. In summary - a great pen which is lightweight, so decide how you like your pen to feel before snagging this because of the brand.

Call it an affectation, call it a statement, call it what you like but on and off, I've owned a 'Parker' pen since my teens (oh, where does the time go). I must have used hundreds of different writing implements but for sheer understated class and realistically, value for money, smooth ink flow (hate it when you have to lick the darn 'nib' when it dries up after not using for a while) and the feel of a decent, solid, reliable pen says it all. My only gripe is when people see it and pretend to innocently put it in their inside pocket if they borrow it, but that's hardly the pen's fault - if you like it so much, buy one! which says it all really,so a well deserved five stars and a less chunky design after all these years be hanged.

I really liked this. For just over £10, you can get yourself a Parker pen that writes smoothly with no resistance from the nib. I collect pens as a hobby so I know what I like and what makes a decent pen, and for me, smooth writing is the primary goal, and this pen offers that. I had none of the problems that some other reviewers have had (fortunately) - my refill clearly had 'Parker' written on it and wrote as I would expect a Parker ink refill to do. There is nothing particularly glamorous about the pen, but it's light, easy to stick in a pocket, a very reasonable price and writes well, so I am not really looking for anything else.

I have been a big fan of rollerball pens as they bring out the best from my handwriting. This parker rollerball is very smooth to write with- the handwriting simply flows from one letter to the next. Build quality is strong and looks very classy. However for the price the ink does not last long. The ink will only last a week if your work involves loads of writing. Expenditure will be high due to frequent purchasing of refills. However the product does deliver. The description does say black - but it has blue ink.

I've been using Vector pens for decades, albeit mostly the fountain pens rather than the rollerball variety like this one. These pens are reliable, functional while still possessing a certain style, they write smoothly and sit well in the hand (I'm not a fan of fat pens and like the relatively slender barrels of Vectors). You get a single blue ink refill with this. The ink dries quickly and I couldn't get it to smudge however hard I tried. The so-called gift packaging is a little underwhelming to be honest.

This one is my favorite, it does not only bring the memories of the Baptist church convention in 2005 it also brings the great memories of that time. One of my favorite models of Parker pens. Great, durable, super in hands and the shapes and models it can draw, fantastic. Amazing they still produce such a great quality pens even during the age of keyboards. Totally recommend.

Nice build, usual quality Parker cartridge and neat packaging. My only wonder was the DIY construction on arrival, rather than the pen being 'ready to go'. I guess it could be a flashback to the days when you had to construct your pen prior to writing (ink cartridges, etc.). Still... a great pen which writes well and looks very stylish too.

I always remembered these pens from being a child in maths class. I would have had the pen regardless of it being any good or not, I was just after the look of it, and it looks right. If i was reviewing it on the quality of the pen then I'd say that it is more than sufficient for the price, but don't expect it to blow your mind

Parker pens are always a pleasure to use, and this is no exception. Comfortable to hold, ink flows easily. It comes in a presentation box, so would be suitable as a gift.Unfortunately, it still doesn't manage to turn my scrawl into something more readable, but I've given up hope of that at this point!

This reminds me very much of the Parker pens I used to use. They're still pretty good. This isn't the most expensive type, by any means, but it's well made and uses a nice rollerball type of cartridge, which gives good results if you need to write by hand a lot.

For a Parker, it was ‘lightweight’. Not such a smooth write, as normal, and it’s lack of weight didn’t help with balance. I bought it as a gift for my great niece who is moving to senior school. It’s languishing in my pen pot and I bought her a Cross!

This is a lovely pen. It comes in a box with the refill. It is so easy to put in to the body of the pen. Once this is done you have a very good quality pen. Writing just seems better with a good pen. Also it is a great price for a Parker pen.
