We bought this castle for our almost 3yr old son. It has been a fantastic hit with him and his 5yr old sister!It is well made and easy to put together - just need to put in 4 screws and the rest just slots together (towers come ready made). The whole castle slots into grooves on the base board, so is nice and sturdy to play with.We chose this castle because of its size. It is plenty big enough for our son's imaginative play - hiding knights under the batlements, locking up baddies in the dungeon - whilst being small enough to sit on his chest of drawers or tuck away into a corner when not in use.It would be good if some knights were included but we bought Early Learning's knights and baddies which are great.

I was searching for a 'classic' lasting toy for the make believe games my two grandsons ,(3 and 6), play with an assortment of model figures. Saw this and thought it seemed to fit the bill perfectly. Ordered it and prepared to be disappointed! The castle arrived very quickly, was unwrapped and built with equal speed by my husband. There was no disappointment! My grandsons unwrapped it again on Christmas morning and it has proved to be a thoroughly satisfactory home/battleground to all types of figures. I had also bought a tin of the Knights on horseback and these are also a success. I recommend the castle to any grandparent looking for an affordable,

The castle arrived very quickly after i ordered it, the packaging was sufficient though the box was a little dented when it arrived but that's more the fault of the Royal Mail than the supplier!It would be good if the figures could be included in the castle or if the supplier could deal in appropriate figures because it was a bit of a nightmare getting the other half of this gift sorted but i got there in the end.The castle itself looked to be very high quality and extremely well made, the instructions to set it up were very clear and when the present was open, it was very well received, i would definitely recommend it to others!

We had thought of getting a castle for my son for a while and were pondering between a lego castle or something like this. This is an extremely good quality product for a fraction of the price of the lego or similar castles. You can get fantastic papo figures to go with the product which are also excellent quality and a castle playmat is also available from papo to go with it. Combined you can get all this for under the price of other castles and get a really good quality product. We have brought this for my son for Christmas and we can't wait to all play with it!

I love this castle. Yes, it comes apart and often needs putting back together, but I'm not bothered - it makes storage easier if you ever need to put it away. It has a strong base, so you can lift it up and move it around the place. It is really study - it has survived my 1 yr old sitting in it, many times. It has cute little features like a jail, crane, drawbridge that goes up and down. I think it is very well made and would recommend it for any 3-4 yr+ child. My 4 yr old loves it. My 1 1/2yr old also loves it, but use it more as a chair than a castle.

brilliant castle. takes a while to construct initially ( a bit of screwing together) so if its pressie recommend you construct it the night before!really good quality wooden toy and easy for a 3yr old to play with. it doesnt come with the dragon and trebuchet pictured though. ideal actually are the playmobil knights to go in it. we ordered the van knights set and they were cute but tiny, and dont stand up---so they were not really appropriate for this castle which was a bit odd.all in all a great buy well worth it

This is a lovely little castle, exactly what we wanted for our 4 year old boy. I wouldn't reccommend it for children younger than this as our 2 year old has come close to destroying it on a few occasions. The turrets do not stay on which is a little frustrating! A bit pricey, especially as it does not include figures and it is not huge...however it is bigger than we thought it was going to be, but it looks good and now we have some knights to go in it our kids seem to enjoy it. Not a bad buy!

this will be a christmas present for my 3 year old boy .. i screwed it together today and was more impressed by just the photo on here !! it looks soo much fun and i guarantee my boy will LOVE IT along with the figures and dragon i have bought to go with it !! cant wait to see his face !! the ONLY thing i have to say is the blue tower tops are not fixed on and i can imagine my boy will take them off and they'll get stood on .. i think i will fix them on myself to make them permanent :)

Our nearly 4 year old has been begging for a castle just like his big brother has for ages and this is a perfect first castle. I would agree with another review posted that you really need to glue this if you want it to stay together, but this doesn't seem to bother him and along with the knights and mat from the same company this was a complete success for Xmas day and the following weeks. We pre-assembled to save on frustration and the collapsible wall is a lovely touch!

This Castle is a really great value for the price! A good size and very well made! I was trying to find the best quality castle for a small budget over xmas and kept coming to this one - and I'm glad I bought it. My son loves it and even my 2 year old has sat in the middle of it to play and it's still together!! It's made of wood and better looking than the bigger plastic ones of the same price and very durable. Will definitely buy this toy brand again!

Got this for my 3 1/2 year old son for Christmas and he loves it! Easy to put together, apart from one or two thing's. The secret passage is very tough to get together with the nails and having the same problem with the front part of the castle where the door open's down... Other than that my son seems to enjoy it, its very nice to look at too, the wood seems solid and very good buy compared to the other on the market.

The castle is great for kids to use their imagination. My 2 boyslove playing with it and we add to their collection of knights, horsesand dragons to create a toy they will be able to keep for a long time.My only disappointment is the base which is not one solid pieceso it means we have to be careful when moving the castle. Weare planning to fix the castle ourselves to a solid base.

Pleasant if basic wooden castle. Got this for my 3 year old daughter who is a bit castle daft. We didn't want some massive princess style one and she seems quite happy. Easy to assemble and parts fit well together. Fairly robust but we already have had a square of parapet snapped off and one of the tower struts splined during assembly.Good value for money.

Have bought this as a Christmas gift so I just hope it looks as good in real life as it does in the picture.Peeved off that I purchased it on Amazon for £48 with £1.99 delivery only to see it on the next day before I had even received said item for £40 with free delivery. Not pleased when every penny counts these days.

This castle is superb, its sterdy and really provokes good immagination and fantasy for a child, great for parents to put together, because it has slots to put it together it only took a couple of minutes to get it up and playing. For all those who love battles, dragons and wizards. Go for it.
