As it says on the box, this pack is a nice introduction to puzzles for children of 18+ months, who are developing the fine motor skills needed to put the pieces together. There are 4 small puzzles, increasing in difficulty from 2 pieces, to 3, then 4 and finally 5. The board used is good and thick and the pieces a nice size for small hands to manipulate. The pictures are colourful and attractive and each animal is easily identifiable.I started off separating each puzzle and giving my grandson one at a time, otherwise he’d be faced with 14 random pieces and the challenge of making 4 animals out of them. He’s a smart kid, but we found that a step too far for a barely-2 year-old!We got extra mileage out of it by numbering the reverse of each puzzle (see photo) so that he could eventually sort the pieces himself, which turned into part of the game. He’s now almost 3 and has mastered all four puzzles without needing to look on the back, so we’ve had a good 12 months fun for a very reasonable price. There are several sets in this series, and we ended up buying them all. Highly recommend. Thanks for reading my review. I hope you found it helpful. Check out my Amazon profile page for more reviews of toddlers’ books, puzzles and educational toys and games.

As it says on the box, this pack is a nice introduction to puzzles for children of 18 months +, who are developing the fine motor skills needed to fit the pieces together. There are 4 small puzzles, each one increasingly more difficult, moving from 2 pieces, to 3, then 4 and finally 5. The board used is good and thick and the pieces a nice size for small hands to manipulate. The pictures are colourful and attractive and each dinosaur easily identifiable. In the beginning, though, I found it best to separate each little puzzle and give my grandson just one at a time, otherwise he’d be faced with 14 random pieces and the challenge of making 4 dinosaurs out of them. He’s a smart kid,but we found that just a step too far for a barely 2 year-old! He’s now almost 3 and dinosaur crazy, so this has turned into one of his favourite toys. We’ve got extra mileage out of it by numbering the reverse of each puzzle (see photo) so that he can sort the pieces himself, which has turned into part of the game. Great fun for him to do and us to watch and applaud! Thanks for reading my review. I hope you found it helpful. The pictures are bright, bold and of good quality. My three year old is able to do all four of these herself and sees it as a light challenge with all the pieces mixed together - she enjoys the dinosaur theme. The box says it is recommended for 18 months - I reckon an 18 month old could probably do the 2 piece and so you can add the others as they get older. When made, each puzzle is about the size of an adult man's hand, whatever that is (sorry I can't find my ruler)!I was slightly disappointed with the shape of the pieces - they're all rectangular (you can see in the photo) rather than classic squares or a mix of odd shapes. The kid doesn't seem much bothered by it though so I suppose that's just me hankering for the jigsaw puzzles from my childhood! Are the pieces 'chunky'? Well, they're not the thin pieces you get in adult puzzles, they are thicker but calling them chunky gives the impression of, well, I suppose thick wooden pieces - which they are not. They are a good enough thickness to make picking them off the table quite easy.We have puzzles from ELC and I think they are of better quality, but then they don't have any with cool DINOSAURS!

As stated on the box, this is the perfect introduction to puzzles for small children who are starting to develop the fine motor skills needed to fit the pieces together. There are 4 little puzzles, each increasingly more difficult, starting with 2 pieces, then 3, 4 and finally 5. The pictures are nice and colourful and each vehicle easily identifiable. The board used is nice and thick, and the pieces are a good size for small hands. In the beginning, I separated the pieces and gave my grandson one puzzle at a time, otherwise he’d be faced with 14 random pieces and the challenge of figuring out how to make 4 pictures out of them. He’s a smart kid, but that was just a step too far for a 2 year-old!We’ve got extra mileage out of the pack by numbering the reverse of each puzzle (see picture) so that now, at the age of 3, he can sort out the pieces on his own. This is an extra challenge that he loves, and he rightly demands a round of applause every time he successfully completes all 4 puzzles! Thanks for reading my review. I hope you found it helpful. Good product! Our 18 month old needed some new puzzles to challenge him. He had some two piece puzzles and could do them quite easily, so this box is the perfect next step to challenge him. It has one x 2 piece, one x 3 piece, one x 4 piece and one x 5 piece puzzle - as shown in the photos I've attached. They are nice and chunky - easy for small fingers to pick up, easy for them to take apart and can't be wrongly put together. The illustrations are simple enough for a small child. We bought this one and one other from this shop/brand ('on safari' and 'on the farm') so that we would have more than one 2, 3, 4 and 5 piece puzzles for our boy to work on!He can't figure out the 4 piece puzzle yet so it's definitely a good challenge for him and will help him learn.

Happy with this purchase! We bought this puzzle box for our 18 month old. The puzzles are nice and chunky for small fingers to handle. They can be easily pulled apart and can't be wrongly put together. It has one x 2 piece puzzle, one x 3 piece puzzle, one x 4 piece puzzle and one x 5 piece puzzle - as shown in the photos I've attached. We bought this one and another from the same brand and shop ('on the farm' and 'on safari') so that our little one would have two of each piece puzzle. He had gotten quite good at 2 piece puzzles so this was the perfect step up from those - the illustrations are still quite simple for him.He still can't work out the 4 piece puzzles so it's the perfect challenge to help him develop.

Really great value for money product. My little boy loves putting the puzzles together to discover different means of transport so it's a fan way of learning too. I just must say my boy is 22 months old and he puts them together in 3 minutes, but he's enjoying doing it over and over again so they might be slightly too simple for the kids over 3 yo although my boy has been doing puzzles since he was 14 months old so maybe that's why it's easier for him. Definitely recommend

Purchased as a gift I received a raving review from the mum of the 2 year old I got this for. He loved the choice of four puzzles and found them challenging at first (which is what you want) and then grew in confidence with them the more he played with them. The colours were strong and vibrant, the pieces were good quality and didn't fray or bend easily and the pictures were fun designs to excite any little boy. A good gift, well priced and well made.

My little girl loves these puzzles. Big and easy for her little hands to grip and control. I love the quality and durability of the hard board so they don't easily bend and damage throughout the many times she puts them together and takes them apart. Plus they are so easy to find. Really recommend this, it's a brilliant activity to help my little one stimulate her brain, it keeps her occupied. She never gets tired putting it together... for now :-D

Bought as a second birthday present for my niece. Product came on time and the box is well presented with attractive brightly coloured pictures of the puzzles. They were particular great as they allow progression because each puzzle has a different number of pieces. As you’d expect with a ravensburger product the puzzles arrived with all the pieces and seem well made, holding shape well even after numerous uses by a small child.

This is a great toy for my 2 year old Daughter with 2, 3 and 4 piece puzzles of farm animals. I like that there is a cow and a sheep which are quite similar colours so she has a challenge of working out which piece belongs where! The interlocking bits are clear and a nice round shape so she can put them in without too much trouble. The pictures are clear and she really enjoys doing them - would recommend!

Love these puzzles lots of learning for my 16 month old who is just starting to take an interest in puzzles . Can build her up gently from 2 pieces up more and more each time and can teach her the different vehicles . Lovely colours so can keep her attention for long periods! Arrived in perfect condition and very quickly. Would definitely recommend this product for boys and girls

Ravensburger had always been my favourite jigsaw puzzle company you can always be guaranteed good quality and this time was no exception. Both my daughter's like it and enjoy trying to put the pieces together. It's sturdy so hasn't snapped when my youngest who's still learning to be gentle applied more pressure than she should at the wrong angle.

Really pleased with this for the price. Trying to keep my almost 2 year old occupied each day while stuck indoors and this is her first puzzle of this style, she has mastered the 'shapes into the matching space' type puzzles so this is a bit more challenging but a good place to start with it being a 2, 3, 4 and 5 piece puzzle pack!

Our son spends at least 30 minutes playing with this each day. We quiet like the varying degree of complexity with one puzzle being just to join 2 pieces (2 halves) and one having 4 pieces.Size is smaller than I expected but enough to feel handful for a 2y old.For the price it’s a great addition to kids toys at our place.
