This is a great quality product, as with all orchard products you pay more...however, it is worth the little extra. The puzzles are sturdy and the pieces are different shapes so the child cannot easily place an incorrect peice with another. The pictures are nice and simple, perfect for the age it is aimed at, especially when working on slightly more pieced puzzles. My two year olds love these puzzles, they were more demanding than the usual toddler puzzles but not too demanding like that of the 16 peice plus puzzles. This is a very good in-between puzzle for children who aren't quite ready for 12, 14, 16 and 18 price puzzles, but who find the 2, 3 and 4 price puzzles too easy.I would definitely recommend.

Four puzzles which get progressively harder- the first two were mastered very quickly, the third took more time and patience and the forth still requires some input from me- which is why I like it so much, it provides both motivation and challenges my daughter at the same time. The pictures are appealing- bright and colourful and provided opportunity for developing language skills- including counting, colours and animals. There is a really helpful activity guide on the back to provide ideas on how to play with your child. The quality of the puzzles are good- the pieces thick and big so durable and will last for both of my children.

I bought this puzzle together with "Who's in the Jungle" and "Who's on the Farm" for my 2 year old daughter for Christmas but she doesn't like it as much as the other two. Maybe if I had bought it when she was 18 months she would have been more interested in it (recommend age group on the box is 3+). From the four puzzles only that one with the hens is interesting because it is more complicated. Every puzzle is with different border and back colour. So it is easy to find the right parts of each puzzle in the undivided box. The pictures are bright and colourful and the puzzles are made from sturdy cardboard.

got my 2-year old this. Wasn't sure whether she'll be able to do it, because she's only tried 2-3 piece puzzles before, and the age suggestion on the box is 3+. to my delighted surprise, she loved playing with it and mastered all 4, including the 12-piece puzzle within a week.so would definitely recommend it for younger than 3 year olds.the puzzles are well made and colour-coded. easy to sort them to different puzzles.my only complaint is that it hasn't lasted very long. my daughter is already getting a bit bored with it. I'm ordering a set containing 12/24/35/50-piece puzzles next

My (just turned) 3 year old has this set. SHe's hyper and can't sit still so I'm trying to work on her concentration. She finds the 4 and 6 piece puzzles too easy but gets bored of the sheep and chickens. If pushed she'll do the sheep but the chickens one is too hard. She just can't see the pictures (I agree with the other reviewer about it being a'baked beans' puzzle for children) and isn't yet able to look at the shapes of the pieces.I wouldn't recommend this as an introduction to puzzles but if you're looking for the next step for your 2/3 year old then this might be it.

The four puzzles are fantastic and attractive- my daughter loves puzzles and spends a long time doing these. They are more challenging than the 'farm four in a box'- as a lot of the puzzle pieces are very similar but that is a good thing- at the moment my daughter needs a bit of help but is progressing well with them. The pictures are bright and very appealing and lend themselves to all sorts of language based activities. There is an excellent activity guide on the back to help parents come up with language based activities.Love all Orchard toys

This is a nice collection of puzzles for beginners, as the easiest ones gives confidence to try the more difficult. My 2 1/2 year old is not used to this kind of jigsaw, but did the easy one right away and the one with 6 pieces with a little help. She gets a little frustrated because she really wants to do them, but I guess frustration is partly what makes us humans learn new things. The pieces are made of thick cardboard and seems very solid, it takes a lot of strength to bend a piece. The box bends when a 2 1/2 year old steps on it though ;-)

We’re big fans of orchard toys, with many of the games already owned. This was our first purchase of jigsaws and we weren’t disappointed. The pieces are all in their own separate bags, but unless you don’t mind sorting all the pieces every time you play, I’d get some sandwich bags to store them in afterwards. They vary in difficulty, and are all colour coded so you know what goes with what. Sturdy enough for my heavy handed 3 year old, and orchard toys replace up to 5 pieces a year so perfect for my house.

These are sufficiently thick card that my 2 year old wont trash them in 5 seconds, unlike many others, and the pictures are cute. I particularly like that they have discrete numbers associated with the number of animals on them to help me encourage counting and that there is a nice step up in the complexity (number of pieces) in each of the four puzzles.Really wonderful, I shall definitely be looking for more Orchard Toys toys (also not as over prices as some of the other good quality toy brands).

I have never written a negative comment before as far as I can remember. The actual item was a good Orchard toy puzzle. No complaints there. However it was not packaged AT ALL! It just had a massive packing sticker stuck to the box which is impossible to take off. Not so great since it’s a Christmas gift. I checked inside and by luck alone all the pieces were in.Not happy about the lack of packaging. The item looks bad now it has the remains of a packing sticker still all over it.Bad show.

The four puzzles allow your child to graduate from 4 to 6 through 8 to 12 pieces. I love that that each is colour coded, including the backs of the pieces, to make it easy to find the pieces for each image. My 2 year old has recently become familiar with some 2 and 3 piece puzzles and adapted to the 4 piece seamlessly. With some support she can also complete the 6 piece. I am looking forward to my 4 year old trying out the harder ones later. As well as "Farm" we also received

This is a lovely puzzle, The pieces fit wellmand stay together, the board is of good quality and the pictures are so glossy. The four puzzles fit in the box as made up puzzles too. Also the outside rim is a different colour for each puzzle so it is super quick separating each of the pieces for each puzzle (without having to think about whether the size is the same as another or not). Highlh recommend, and a steal at this price.

Lovely farm illustrated puzzles, with differing complexity. The great thing about these is there are different aspects as the child grows that can aid different learning skills, colours, numbers and problem solving. I bought this and the Big Wheels puzzle from Orchard Toys and my little one, still finds the 12 piece hard, but is getting there. He is 2 1/2 and I think he will still enjoy this one for a while.

Bought for my son aged 2 and he can now do them all himself its really good how they have differnt levels of hardness and he loved completing them all. The box the jigsaws came in has taking some battling and still going strong. Jigsaw itself is great quality and perfect for little hands. Colourful images and each picture is colour co-ordinated where by its easy to seperate each picture buy colour.

2.5-year old son loves jigsaw puzzles, so 4 in a box sets work really well for him, and he has enjoyed playing with this set. Chunky, sturdy pieces are durable (our son is not delicate with puzzles). 4 stars rather than 5 as he learned how to do them on his own very quickly and is now more interested in bigger puzzles, 25-piece types, so after a few weeks he's not playing with this as much...
