Brilliant lens it arrived early so took it out for a good, and its fantastic, shot some portraits and overall it's all I wanted picture quality is perfect, the vibration reduction is excellent - I went far back from my model to try this out, the auto focus is a touch slower than with my 18 - 140 lens but it's nothing to really care about. Overall very pleased, excellent lens, highly recommend it !!

Some compromise with the quality but in the real world its actually not that noticeable unless you are using the lens at extremes. Small, light and does what it says on the tin - well worth buying for travel if you are tired of a bag full of lenses you carry for weeks and only use once or twice. Good Nikon quality - only criticism is no hood or bag included.

This is a tremendous lens. Such amazing value against the new price. It is in brand new condition and actually exceeds my expectations in regard to performance. Fantastic for wildlife photography, the vibration control is brilliant. I have no idea how it works but without it a tripod would be needed without doubt. See the wide angle vs zoomed photos.

This lens is so versatile that I rarely change lenses anymore. Focus is fast, images are sharp, and it is a quality piece of engineering. It’s only drawback is weight, if you have a light SLR then the addition of a large lens makes it more front heavy but I like this as it makes the whole unit feel more robust and stable in use. Highly recommended.

This is a quality product. I’m no professional but get good results with this lens which I use instead of my 18-55mm and 70-300mm which I used previously. It’s arguably not as good as those lenses at the 18 and 300mm extremes but so much more convenient than constantly changing lenses and missing the shot (particularly wildlife)

It's a very good all around lens but obviously you sacrifice a tiny amount of quality for this. I've not noticed any issues with detail but it does have some slight fish eye effect when zoomed fully out. Lightroom fixes this though. The auto focus is fairly snappy but does make a strange electronic noise which is odd at first

I have received my lens couple of hours ago. It covers all my needs. This is a must lens for those who like taking nature, landscape or daily city touring photos. I believe it will be quite useful and practical to take only this lens when I travel to different countries. The value worths a lot for such a top quality product.

I have had this several months now and love it, While out and about its perfect no more lens changing for me, I had an 18 - 55 kit lens and a 55 - 300 Lens and this has replaced them perfectly, really very happy with it no downsides for me :)

Ideal travel lens. Easy to pack. Easy to carry. Easy to use. Good range. Feels robust. Good pictures. A single lens option for travelling to keep weight down is always a compromise but this is probably as good as it gets.

best value for money branded lens I could find at the time so although I knew I was buying used I was pleasantly surprised at the as new condition. An ideal lens for amateur snapping the only one you need in your bag.

Excellent lens, but upgraded from my second 18-200mm VRII lens.Not yet 100% certain that this was a good value exercise.If you are considering an 18-300mm, buy this one, but if you are upgrading, think carefully.

Pricey lens but handy, use this all the time for site work. Focal length is ideal for most occasions. Quality has not let me down. Performs best in bright weather at the long end.

The lens is the genuine Nikon product, so is excellent in every respect, arrived very quickly too and at a massive saving over high street price. Very pleased with this purchase.

Lenses for all situations. But only for amateurs. Proffesionals should not have so extensible lenses.Images are sharp, for the value, excellent product.

This lens replaces other lenses so no longer having to carry them or constantly change lens normal Nikon high quality and pleased with the results
