I bought these for weight lifting. These are the best looking shoes I've ever owned but for the people who say you can run in them... I mean, in theory, yes, you could run in them but they are not comfortable running shoes. As soon as your heel hits the ground, they pretty much just pivot over that point instead of flexing or bending like other running shoes would do. This may be because they are new but I didn't feel much of a roll effect -it was more like a slam from heel to toe. They are however great for stability and stationary exercises such as squats, dead lifts, overhead press, etc. I tested them out for shoulder presses against a wall and the little lip on the heel performed as expected.Overall, great looking shoes for lifting weights but I would NOT recommend them as a running shoe unless you are used to running in clogs.

I don't wear these all day, but i think I could.. These are by far the best workout sneakers I have ever owned. I like them so much that after I bought my first pair at a local store in black on black, I bought these in red and white.. I only use them for the gym and nothing else. And, I only do strength training. these are a huge help for squats and deadlifts, but also for any other work in the gym due to the grip of the sole which is perfect. They keep my heel close to the floor but have enough padding to feel great. My feet are slightly wide and these fit perfect. Other Nike training sneakers I have tried on in the store were too narrow.. These are right on!

I have been training at the gym and decided I deserved some new shoes. These Nike Metcon shoes are probably the best athletic footwear I have ever owned. They provide the right amount of support and traction for multi-axis movement. My personal trainer praised my choice saying,”those are the exact shoes I would have recommended for you.” They look great too. I have received many other compliments besides. Whoever designed the shoe made their masterpiece. I now own 3 pairs!

Great shoe for CrossFit workouts, however if you're planning on doing any decent amount of running, bring running shoes for more support and comfort. The Metcon 2 is fine for short 200-400m runs as part of circuit training, but if you're going to run a mile or more, put on some proper running shoes. The Metcon 2 is perfect for lifting/cross training/Cross Fit, and has held up great after 6 months of Cross Fit classes (roughly 3-4 times per week).

I love these shoes. I typically buy running shoes but bought these for the gym and they are so comfortable. They were tight at first but after breaking them in for a week and 2 or 3 workouts they feel great. I'm normally a 10 and thats what i bought. Now I wear them all the time. All in all, great for the gym or walking around but don't use them for running because they aren't designed for that and you'll get blisters.

ATTN: CROSSFITTERS WITH WIDE FEET-----I have a wide foot with high arch---Nano's did not even come close to fitting me. The Metcon 2 fits me great! Kind of ironic considering Nike sneakers have not fit me since I was in grade school. The Metcon is wider than a standard Nike. I wear a 9.5 in Asics running shoe and I need a 10 with the Nike Metcon.

I have used reeboks for about two years and was curious about trying the metcons. The appearance alone was the first factor. They don't have crossfit puked all over them amd actually look like a pair of shoes that can be worn somewhere other than the box. They fit great, look good, and I would buy another pair after I get my ise out of these

As a power lifter, I like the Nike Metcon 2 over the Reebok Nano. The Metcon's are great for squatting and deadlifting movements. I am quite happy with the purchase as I use these as a lifting shoe and have a set of dedicated runners. I would not use these shoes as a running shoe due to the rigidity of the heel and arch support.

Great shoes for Crossfit or even just the gym in general. I wouldn't wear them just for longer runs, but they're wonderful for short sprint workouts. They're exceptionally stable for squats, Olympic lifts and they slide right in/out of the foot board on a C2 rower allowing for quick transitions.

Infinitely better than the reebok crossfit shoe line, which is probably why they banned the Metcon from the crossfit games. But this is a great show. If I had to pick a down side I'd have to say that it has a bit of a pointy toe, but mate I just have wide feet. Other than that I love this shoe.

These are great for heavy lifting days or even just general gym sessions. Have just enough tack on the bottom and they are super comfortable even just in casual wear. Love the color! Probably stick to running shoes for anything over a mile.

Fits as expected and has better arch support and cushion than any of the Reebok nanos I have owned. Shoe has a very stable feel and is very well built. I use the shoes for Crossfit and strength training 4 to 5 times per week.

The first time I put them on I thought they might have been too small, but after wearing them a few days it seems like they will fit just right. They are a little narrow, but I have weird hobbit feet so that might just be me.

Great fit and the red looks great. Really good grip too. No more slipping when lifting at the gym (we have a smooth floor at the gym, which used to cause issues with shoes slipping when pushing up a lot of weight)

Great for my wide feet. Stands up to heavy use and sweat, dries out quickly afterwards. Firm sole inspires confidence on indoor surfaces. Squeak when walking, but that doesn't bother me too much...
