My old steamer packed up.Picked up a cheap own brand steamer at a big 4 supermarket.Plug would not fit returned same day.Picked up second steamer oh so cheap until I saw the sparks when timer finished cycle.Scratched my head and relunctantly bought the more expensive Morphy Richards.Heaven! YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.The wrapping was nice.Plug wire length was adequate and NO problems.I never knew eggs could be steamed boiled in 18 mins or the correct technique was to put the lid away from you to avoid scalds so full marks to the instruction manual.I am a runner/Cyclist so this is ideal and economic for healthy meals.The construction is robust and solid so much so I did not bother taking out

I have had a few steamers in my time with the last one (not Morphy Richards) losing some of the lettering around the clockwork timer, and developing discoloured plastic, which made it look a bit tired. After some pondering I bought this one. The basket bases are made of a more flexible plastic than the clear basket sides which should make cleaning easier. Since the basket bases and sides separate they store together to minimise the space they take up. I had a little bit of difficulty separating two of the three basket sides that had been wrapped in plastic film and pushed inside each other for packing. A bit of pulling and tearing at the plastic film and they came apart.

We recently purchased this steamer after being continually frustrated using a number of pans to cook all our veg especially on a Sunday. The product is great- extremely well packaged and very easy to set up. It also stores great and doesn't take up too much room like many others. The 3 tired are all a great size providing plenty of room to cook your food. The addition of a rice tray was also a very pleasant surprise and works very well.The addition of a timer, water guage and handy side water fill meaning you can top up the water whilst cooking without having to take all the trays off is fab.The product is really simple to use and has been a great asset to our kitchen appliances.The instruction

Ive been using steamers for some time and bought this one few days ago to have it at my clients home. I knew what I wanted - at least 2 racks (meat and vegetables - I cook rice on classical hob), water level indicator plus option to fill up the water level, of course timer. Everything is to my satisfaction, except of the water refil perhaps, which is very narrow. But I hardly ever run out of water anyway. I did not expect the marks on the racks and these are very helpfulI (bottom, middle, top). Once, the timer stopped working (stopped ticking while the steam kept on being produced). After some time I noticed the timer was not moving and ticking so I moved it a bit and everything was back to normal - who knows what happened.

This was long overdue a replacement, so I've used food steamers before. It amazes me how I've managed without one. It frees up the hob for more technical cooking, instead of multiple pans just simmering on three burners. It's a fill and forget solution. The veggies that come out are cooked to perfection and not over burdened with water, which is often the case when simmering in a pan. Plus there seems to be more taste to the veggies. Finally, stick it in the dishwasher when it's job is done and put away in a small area too, as it stacks neatly together.My only thought is that, although it is designed to take tap water, if you live in a hard water area and have a water filter,

Steamers are basically a simple thing to do well, but manufacturers have managed to make them overly complicated, or make the performance less than stellar. I'm pleased to say this steamer ticks both boxes on simplicity and performance.All you need to do is fill the steamer up with water, plug in and turn the dial. No digital display, no buttons, just a dial. That is all you need.The main bugbear with steamers is the cleaning required. I have to say this is the best designed steamer ever. The holes for the steam are large, and the sides and base are made of sturdy plastic and just stack on top of each other. There's no clips, thin plastic or tiny holes for things to get stuck in. Cleaning is really quick,

I had a steamer prior to this. Which broke so this was the reason to purchase a new This by comparison is a far superior steamer. Not only is it easy to clean . I did not have the same problem as my last one (where the bubbles of water would come up to the first year boiling the food rather then steaming) It has a water indicator to see how much water is left in case you need to top up.also a timer that pings on completion.The use of the machine is simple and easy . Just a simple case of filling with water and placing the compartments . The compartments themselves allow ample enough room for various foods. I have put chicken and vegies without any problems.Cleaning the product is once again easy as the compartments come apart and are easy to wash.

This is such an excellent product in fact it is my second purchase. After years of using this product which I hasten to add is still going strong I spend lot of time at my mums and always cook for her so I have left my older one at her house. For years I have steamed my vegetables and find this steamer the perfect solution. If I am only cooking for my self I can fit an assortment of veg in just the bottom tray or if I want to steam a piece of salmon I tend to put it in the bottom in the rice tray as I can add honey and anything else I wish to use then I put my veg in the middle tray. You can time it for how ever long you like (no boiling over) I find my veg cook perfectly in 15mins and if I'm doing salmon I allow 20 mins.

This is the first steamer I've owned and I am very impressed.This has the most features which I think are important. The water level can be topped up while the steamer is in operation although so far I have found the initial water adequate. The baskets are a good strong plastic and are individually marked allowing stacking easily without becoming unstable . Capacity of the baskets would easily allow a family of 4 to be served but just as easily could be used by an individual.When switched on steam rises almost instantaneously allowing fast results. It has a no hassle simple timer which allows you to cook different items at the right time. After cooking It stacks into a very easy to store pile,

We purchased Morphyrichards because of the Name,Firstly! But because of the drip trays! Other Steamers ,they're Drip Trays are separate and the tiny clip breaks off, making the food fall through to the tray below! FRUSTRATING! But Morphyrichards has come up with the Tray complete with the Handles no separate parts! Fantastic! So easy, No Fuss or Bother, just add the tray, put the side on and add the food! Simply! I'm over the moon about this Steamer, but that's not Forgetting a 2 year Guarantee! Plus the easiest way to Steam Food! Fill the base reservoir with water, we use filtered water, add your veg or what ever you might be cooking, then set the Timer and walk away! Relax,

This is a great family sized steamer. We gave up on steamers a few years ago because of their fiddliness, size and general ineffectiveness. We were out having a meal and had steamed vegetables - we remembered why we liked them so much. So after a lot of research (I mean a lot!) we decided that this steamer ticked all the boxers. We have had perfect results every time, from fresh and frozen vegetables, to salmon and rice. You can easily prepare a whole meal for a family of four in this.After cooking meals, load into the dishwasher and it cleans perfectly without any issues - it fits perfectly in the dishwasher as well.Then stack into a very easy to store pile, collapses to about 8 inches high in total.

My mum brought this for me for Christmas. I had really wanted one of these for a while as i am disabled and find it really hard to carry saucepans as they do get very heavy, but now i have this steamer this is going to make my life so much easier to try and keep cooking for myself without help.I’ve always liked Morphy Richards as a make! Most of my products at home are morphy Richards from my iron to bread makers etc.I can’t wait to use this for me and my daughter i’m like a kid at Christmas again!Even the style of the steamer suits my kitchen it’s sleek and stylish and i just love it. This helps me out so much you wouldn’t believe!I am one happy person thank you Morphy Richards you’ve made my day.

I originally bought one of these steamers 6 years ago and it has lasted ever since. Only yesterday did the seal start to leak around the heating element, however this was only minor. Today I have bought a new steamer of the exact same model because of its reliability and excellent performance. It cooks food quickly and evenly and is the perfect size for a family of 4. The parts are easy to wash and stack. The product is extremely easy to use due to its manual timer and clear water level indicators. Despite not being the cheapest steamer on the market I decided to buy another to replace the old one as it is so well made and has lasted being used at least three times a week for the last 6 years.

This is my second purchase of this model as I love it! I had the previous one for a good few years and used it daily, mainly for steaming chicken as it keeps it moist and veggies as it frees up the hob and the result is lovely healthy food. The 3 tiers differ in size a little but labelled. Easily cleaned with a good kitchen brush to get any chicken or fish residue off. The timer is easy to use and you could have an entire steamed meal, with something in each section, simply by staggering your timer settings eg chicken on for 15 mins then when it dings, pop in your veg in another tier for 5 mins et voila! Known in our house as 'chicken ding', delicious and no fats used. Highly recommend!

I have recently replaced my old steamer for a Morphy Richards model which is perfect for steaming vegetables, potatoes, chicken rice and fish, this one has the added advantage of having a rice tray and timer which I have found to be of great benefit. There is also a handy removable drip tray which makes the steamer easy to clean, it also collects the vegetable juices which enables you to use as a stock for your sauces. The trays and the lid are dishwasher safe and the tiers will stack neatly together for convenient storage. After steaming your veg, you will never want to go back to boiled veg again. I would highly recommend this model, it has been one of my better purchases.
