I have to start this review with a confession - I chose this for my son who loves dinosaurs, but I am keeping it for myself. (Until such time as my guilt gets the better of me). This would be a wonderful present for anyone who loves dinosaurs or is a fan of the Jurassic Park movies. It's default pose is with it's mouth open, but I quite like this as it brings to mind the finale of the Jurassic Park movie with the T-Rex roaring defiance (it's so tempting to make a Jurassic Park banner to drape over it).It is quite impressive to say the least - at around half a metre long and just under 30 cm high. The modelling of it is fantastic, the detailing of the skin and muscles is brilliant,you could imagine this coming to life at night and terrorising the other toys. It's marked as being suitable for 4 years and up, something to be aware of if you're buying it as a present for a child.It has two buttons on it's back which control it's "automated" movements - these buttons are well blended in to the model. The front button causes the head to whip round with a biting motion (pity it doesn't come with a small velociraptor model for it to grab hold of) and the back button makes the long tail snake about. You can use the two buttons together for a dual attack. The two tiny arms can also be posed, the legs move and the feet can be twisted as well.I love that it doesn't need batteries, so you don't have to worry about whether or not you've got the right size or the right number. I love that it's silent - so the only roaring will be that provided by yourself or your children. (It won't be something annoying and electronic that drills into your head as the sound button is repeatedly pushed until it wears out under the strain.) I love that it's a toy that allows you to engage your imagination as it figuratively rampages around your living room.Overall - brilliant T-Rex model for any Jurassic Park fan to relive the iconic moments from the movies. You can also let your children play with it as well.

This Bite ’N Fight Tyrannosaurus Rex is from Mattel's Jurassic World fighting dinosaur range and is sure to be popular with young fans of the “Jurassic” series of films – age four and over is suggested. T Rex is not battery powered but has two large buttons on his back – one to to control his “twisting & turning, biting action” head, and the other to operate his “massive tail strike”. You can press one button at a time or the more experienced operator could do both together for maximum fighting effect. The dinosaur toy itself is well-made, and great fun to play with, but the packaging is a bit of a challenge and will need to be unpacked by an adult.T Rex's feet are held in place by two screw plates hidden way inside the box and extracting the dinosaur information card requires the box to be almost completely dismantled – all very secure but a right pain! There is an associated Jurassic World facts app for Android and iOS where you can learn all about T Rex and his contemporaries – facts, stats and how he moved. Currently around twenty-eight pounds from Amazon this large-scale biting dinosaur is decent value for the build quality and fun-factor and would be worth five stars for the right child.

This is an excellent buy for any young Jurassic World fans or even for a child who just likes dinosaurs.This Tyrannosaurus Rex dinosaur is a decent size measuring 53.33 cm in length x 17.5 cm in width x 21.37 cm in height, it is made from a durable hard slightly flexible plastic which gives the dinosaur a slight bendability. This impressive monster is given authentic looks including the colouring of his body and it has moveable joints in the neck, legs and tail.The best feature of all must be the action buttons of which there are two ... press the back one for tail strikes and the front for head strikes in which the head lunges forward with a biting action and turns 90 degrees.Even better press both of them at the same time and both the tail and the head strikes.All this fun without a battery in sight ...My seven year old foster boy is delighted with this dinosaur and has shown great interest in collecting the others in the series.This toy is sure to appeal to both parent and child, the child for the fun factor and the parent for its cost effectiveness. Not too expensive to purchase and no further running costs.Brilliant.

Ok children's toys are usually expensive for what they are so once you get over that you need to look at play value.My son used to be obsessed with dinosaurs. He would say when I grow up I want to be a dinosaur keeper. He would have run round for hours with this and other dinosaurs totally immersed in his little jurassic world.Now that boy is 21, he says its junk and has zero play value and he also works as an ecommerce specialist not a dinosaur keeper. This is the boy that worshipped dinosaurs so it shows views from both child to adult. I think his make believe bubble has gone but as a child he had an awesome imagination bubble.So, this has two buttons to flip the tail and head.There's no sounds or anything. The face looks strangely familiar. It comes in a nice box suitable for gifting. It's all about a child's imagination and where they can go with this dinosaur. The price is what you expect to pay for childrens toys.I think this would be awesome for any child interested in dinosaurs. I'd recommend it as I know my son would have been extatic to open this at Christmas.

First off, my son ADORES this toy. What 3 year old boy doesn’t love Jurassic world dinosaurs? He has barely played with anything else since receiving this.It is bigger than I expected. The box is substantial and makes for a great birthday/Christmas present.The dinosaur itself has 2 buttons on his back, one that swings it’s head and neck and the other that swings its tail in a natural T-Rex fashion. My 3 year old sometimes struggles to press the buttons himself which is a little frustrating for him.The arms are opposable and so are the legs, although the legs are quite stiff.The only problem with this is that that the tail can catch skin due to the hinged sections that provide the swishing motion.It’s caught my son on the arm and finger and even got me once when picking it up by the tail. Just something for buyers to be aware of and to let children know to be careful whilst playing with it.Other than that, this toy offers hours of play and any Jurassic world fan would love this dinosaur.

This brilliant Jurassic World dinosaur is created by Mattel. It forms part of a collection of dinosaurs which can be viewed if you go to the Jurassic World website. The Tyrannosaurus Rex is probably the most well known of the dinosaurs and this one could be ideal for a present for a boy or girl to start their collection.This particular toy is quite large. He measures 23 inches from head to the tip of the tail and he stands 10 inches tall. But this is the right way to portray these creatures. When they roamed the earth these were gigantic and these toys will give a child some idea about what size they were.Another feature I liked about this dinosaur is that when you press down on his back his head moves from side to side and so does his tail.I have seen dinosaur toys which are mead of rubber which serves the purpose of being a model of the beast but this one is much more than a static model and would be a fun toy for any boy or girl. 5/5

Every now and again, one of the toys I get to pass on to my grandkids makes my inner child want to keep it and hide it away for myself. This brilliant, massive T-Rex is definitely one of those toys. It is fabulous! It is really large with a massive mouth, filled with big, pointy teeth. It also has a bendy tail. There are two buttons on its back - the front one operates the mouth and neck, the back one operates the tail. The front one is the most fun, as it turns the head and makes the massive jaws snap closed. The arms and legs can also be moved but those snapping jaws are the star of the show! I dare anyone, of any age, who has ever been fascinated by dinosaurs, to try to resist pressing that button - and more than once!This is a super toy for any dinosaur fan - it really does get into the spirit of its T-Rex-ness. It is not cheap, due to its link to the Jurassic Park franchise, but it is not over-priced either - and it is brilliant!

This is a really impressive T Rex, by far the best I’ve seen. It’s a Mattel toy, so the quality is really good. The detail in the modelling is incredible; in certain light it actually looks like real scaly skin. I love the detail in the teeth and I think he’s fearsome with the open mouth. All the articulated joints move freely and well and feel robust. The quality of build is such that he looks like he’s designed to last and withstand some rough encounters. Time will tell! For that reason, I think he’s value for money.There’s likely to be additional expense if you buy this for a youngster; they’ll probably want another from the series to play and fight with.The swishing tail and head make for fun play and maybe the only thing it lacks is noise...but I think on balance we should be grateful for that. It encourages children to make their own noise and talk whilst playing. A fabulous and well built toy.

Brilliant toy for dinosaur and Jurassic Park fansThe T rex is my little girls favourite dinosaursSuitable for ages 4+Great quality well made toy by MattelAppealing packagingDinosaur has great action features. The dinosaur has two buttons the back moves the tail while the front one moves the head. For more action press the button hard for the dinosaur to bite stronger, or push the buttons at the same time for dual action moves.Nice detail to the dinosaur and looks actual like the one in the movie.Other dinosaurs available for more play fun.Although it is expensive it has a great play value, it will keep your child entertained.Would make a great christmas gift.

Well i know if I had have had this when i was a kid it would be eating my Knights, Cowboys & Indians & my roman soldiers in the fort. The movable tail would be killing the German & Allied plastic soldiers with a swish Whilst eating tanks & field guns & aong with horses with one gnash of its teeth. I Just saw the Fort I had Wow i forgot that. Brings me back to my childhood. Hence the title & the full marks. Sturdy well its not a Tonka Toy but it took me pounding on the Buttons to move its tail & teeth Chasing the dog around. I loved it & im sure your Kids will too. If not send me it, I will open a T-REX Sanctuary...

This is a really large dinosaur, which has good detailing and is extremely solid. Like other dinosaurs in the Jurassic World range, this has two buttons. One moves the tail and the other moves the head. This was the button which my nephew loved the most, as the dinosaur turns his head round and his jaws clamp. This means he can grab another dinosaur, which looks really realistic.The only issue with these toys is that there is no sound. Really, for the price, and quality, of these toys, I would have thought a growl or roar would have been a great addition.

My grandson has one other Dinosaur from the same Jurassic World range and enjoys the interaction between the 2. Especially, The moving jaws and tail on this one and moving wings and jaws on the other. This range is exceptionally well made and stands up to the inevitable fighting between the dinosaurs. However, My 6 year old grandson has many other dinosaurs in every shape and size who also join the battles. but none of those are expensive as this Jurassic World range. I do not think they are 2 or 3 times more. In cost or play value.

Yup this was for me and not for a child, always been a dinosaur obsessed child and then equally as obsessed as an adult, he looks spectacular and has a nice range of movement, I do not intend to play with him (Much) but he isvery sturdy and I would imagine quite robust, the detail looks really lovely and intricate.He is so much bigger than I expected and has two nice features with switches on his back, one makes his head snap suddenly and opens and closes his mouth, the other makes the tail snap side to side for an attack.

Rather impressed with this figure. There are two buttons on the back of it which are hidden but easy to press. One operates the head which moves to one side and the mouth opens and shuts. The other Button swishes the tail and the harder you press the more forceful the action. To have a battle with these obviously you need at least two of them. But I think they are also very good as stand alone models. They are well made and look to be very durable. If you have a dinosaur fan in the family , they will love this.

Jurassic world gtc91 bite n fight tyrannosaurus rex in larger scale with head and tail strike action multi colour.Wow! What a brilliant tough dinosaur this is, it's far from small and my grandson loves it!It's made for battling other dinosaurs with its dual button activation for fierce moves in battle.It's very impressive with all the different moves and features , its approx half a metre long.Would make the perfect gift for any dinosaur fan big or small.5 stars!
