We had bought a closed TV/DVD unit and were looking into finding an IR Extender to use with our electrical equipment within the unit so that we could operate them without opening the door. We looked at lots of products,read many reviews and eventually decided on this product. It was so easy to use, I had fitted it and was using it all perfectly within 10 mins! The main box is smaller than I thought it would be (about the size of a cigarette packet). The actual IR relay box is tiny (pencil sharpner size) so is easy to place somewhere discreet. The only thing I found was that the connector cable for this item isn't very long, but it was fine for the purpose we had bought it for.

Works well providing cabinet has enough depth. Mine didn't and all av equipment is very close to doors when shut, making it hard for signal to be transmitted. However with a lot of trial and error positioning the IR blasters all equipment now works with doors closed. If your equipment is separated over more than two shelves I would consider buying the one with individual IR's which attach to each piece of equipment. Also when placing the IR's use blu tack until you are happy, because the sticky pads they supply are hard to remove again. All in all very happy with product.

For once. A technical product that is easy to install. Took about 30 minutes to setup. One point to note is that this product works best in closed cabinets. If your cabinet has slatted doors (like mine does) then you will need to place the IR receivier away from the electronics that will be receiving the signal (e.g. Sky box, DVD, etc.). And so the remote needs to be pointing away from the electronics. I placed the IR receiver in the top corner of the TV and this works great. All in all a very good product.

This device gave me the best solution to have my home cinema equipment not visible. Easy to connect and works perfect!

Great product, easy to set up. I have a sky box, receiver and ps3 and this is all controlled using this great gadget.
