This game is brilliant for memory, fine motor skills and promoting healthy eating. It has four, two piece jigsaw lunch boxes that are easy to fit together the top has a picture of six different items that are in the lunch box and the lower end of the jigsaw has six empty squares to match the corresponding items, perfect to help children grasp numbers and to get them thinking about the items that they are placing into the lunch box.I bought this Lunch box first and foremost for my 3.5 years old son. We began with all the items facing up the way until he became familiar with the game and then moved on to playing it with the items facing downwards to challenge him once the game became a bit repetitive. My son has speech difficulties and i'm always looking for games that I can incorporate in his speech program at home this was perfect, it's in a small box and easy to store away. This game is also brilliant for encouraging discussions around (un)healthy foods and what they should be eating and how often as the lunch boxes have both healthy and unhealthy foods. Again with my sons speech difficulty i adapted another game to help him based on the traffic light labeling on foods in stores (uk) although it would be a good activity for preschool children in general. I showed him an item with it on it and then placed three printed circles one green (foods we can have lots of), one amber(foods we can have some of) and one red (foods only want to eat rarely, for example special occasions) . Then we began sorted the images from the game into the different groups and talked about what we were doing. On our next shopping trip he was very keen to guide me in what I was choosing and decided against chocolate digestive biscuits because there was too much red on the label. All in all a great game to have at home for parents, to interact with children and to open discussions. Hours of fun as activities can be extended.Great game for school setting as it ticks so many boxes of the curriculum.Great Value for money!

My 2 year old grand daughter (2 and a half to be fair) loved this when I gave it to her. She does have a bit of a thing about her packed lunches that she takes to nursery, so it was the perfect game for her. I love Orchard games. I have bought lots of different ones for my grand children, and they never fail to deliver. And actually I don't get bored playing them either!

I bought this game for my 3 year old and also three of his friends for Christmas based on so may good reviews I read.It is excellent, all my friends have commented on how all the kids are enjoying playing with it!I have recently bought the pack lunch version which is very similar for more gifts. All of the Orchard games that we have purchased has been very good.

Bought as a gift for a 2 year old. Perhaps a little old but easily adapted to make simpler. I would aay the shopping list game might be better for younger players because the pictures of thw items are laid out more clearly whereas the lunch items are jumbled together in the lunchbox ao not so easy to distinguish. Still a lovely game and always good quality.

I am very keen on all the Orchard games in this format but I chose this one as I wanted to buy one of the cheapest ones. The box and the game are both good quality and colourful with nice images. It is a fun game and fairly small so it would be good for travelling or a holiday. Arrived quickly within three days and I was overall very pleased.

Really nice educational game; our son will be starting to have packed lunches at his pre-school in a few months so this is a good way of getting him used to the idea of lunch boxes, plus he's learned a few new words and food items. Very similar to the shopping list game we also have, so we keep one at our house and one at grandparents.

I bought this game for children in my special school class as part of our healthy eating topic. A nice visual resource which promotes turn taking and picture matching. It would be nice if the choices contained some unhealthy options to allow children to make up their own healthy lunchbox from more challenging choices.

My grandson loves this game. As he does all his Orchard games. He learns as he goes, what's good for him to have in his lunchbox, and learning as he goes. These games are very good for little ones and my daughter and myself have a lot of them between our houses for him to play with. very good value, simple game.

I bought the lunch box game for my granddaughter when she was 3 and she still loves playing it age 5. A great game for spending time with younger children while they play and learn at the same time. The cardboard pieces are sturdy and colourful and easy to manipulate.I would thoroughly recommend this game.

My daughter got this for christmas and really enjoys playing with it. Basically you have to find all the items for your lunch box. I like that it teaches them about healthy eating and that it is normal to have things like celery in a lunch box! we have played it many times and she is not bored yet.

This is a simple memory game, but the cardboard looks nice and chunky. It is nice for livening up a healthy eating topic and good for home schoolers and well as any parent who wants to subtly and gently introduce the idea of living off items other than crisps, chips and biscuits and junk!

Really nice quality which makes it a pleasure to play with - nice chunky sized pieces for small hands and well made to withstand the sometimes 'not so careful handling' from small children. My grandchildren love playing this game whether it's by the rules or their own variations.

We bought this to play with our 5 year old grand-daughter, she absolutely loves it and would be happy to play for hours. We like it because it is short and fun! I also plan to use it with speakers of other languages and think that it will be excellent for teaching vocabulary.

I am very happy with this game. I am using it to teach foreign children English, they enjoy the game as the pictures are bright and clear and they are playing while learning. Orchard Toys produce very good toys as they educate while the children are having fun.

The box arrived in mint condition. The puzzle looks pretty interesting: definitely something that can inspire different games and help with developing language skills. The sturdy tiles have pretty colors and the game looks fun and educational.
