I bought the first case in Mar 2019 for an iPhone 7/8 and now SE2020. Both of us were happy with the cases. However, we have since found that there is a constant clicking sound when recording (and then playing) video; the playback is rather like watching an old movie played on a cinema reel-to-reel projector - we had not noticed this before. Due to COVID19 we have had to use viedo a lot to create our on-line church services, so the clicking was unacceptable. This fault is mentioned on the Lifeproof forums. After some experiment, I think that it is due to a bit of slack in the back of the case which is amplyfing some inherent sound.Assuming that the Amazon warranty was only for one year,so we contacted Lifeproof direct and, after a few emails, they accepted that the case needed replacing. They also advised that '... authorized retailers in your region know that they have to replace a case for any reason for up to two years from date of purchase'. There is nothing on the Amazon webpage to say this!I took it up yesterday in a Chat with an Amazon rep, who initially agreed that a replacement was needed, but then said that my account had expired (!!) and that they would only offer me a refund for what I had paid in 2019 (strangely, the cost of the replacement case was £20 more than I paid - odd that). I declined the refund and stated quite firmly that my Prime account was current. After a few minutes wait, the agent agreed to send a new case. So, be aware of the fob off and stand firm. Hopefully the new case will not create the clicking sound on video. Watch this space.Sadly, the clicking sound remains and appears o be conflict between the 2 mics. Chat with Apple allowed a work-around: open the bottom Lightning slot and plug in a set of earbuds, or a mic - this cuts out the bottom mic, so no conflict.

This case allowed my phone to survive a drop into a very hot washing up bowl of water and washing up liquid and greasy deposits of the Sunday lunch. Thank goodness I had closed the charging cover. Moral of the story, ignore your phone if it rings when washing up.It offers reasonable drop protection, I have dropped my phone a few times, getting out of the car, getting in the car and loading the boot of my car. Moral of the story, avoid using your phone when distracted and near your car.The screen cover has protected the screen from screws, keys, stones from the beach and other detritus that I find in my pockets. Battle scars are visible on the screen protector but my phone is unmarked. There are however compromises, the screen protector is not as slick as using the touchscreen without it. The cover on the fingerprint reader is so hit and miss I stick to using the code to open the phone which since the upgrade that removed the 'swipe to open' is an annoyance. It does effect the volume but not to a great extent. Also the rubber tends to fray a little around the buttons after a bit of use and it needs a good hard press to switch the phone off.Yes there are trade offs and compromises but my phone remains pristine and above all else the case doesn't add much bulk to the size of the phone. Would be nice if it wasn't so expensive.Just beware of the imitations and fakes that can be found here and there and I have been caught out in the past.

My old cover had taken 2 years of constant wear & tear, I do a lot of walking running hiking cycling and working & it’s been in my pocket constantly the whole time and it’s only just started to wear through in a couple of places but my phone is still in absolute mint condition, it’s done incredibly well so I’ve got no qualms with replacing the old one it’d taken such a bashing. Below is my original review which still stands as far as I’m concerned. I like the way the headphone adapter converts to standard mini jack outlet.Peace of mind when I'm out in the wilds and also in my work environment. It also affords very good protection to the camera lens which on the iPhone 6s is otherwise quite vulnerable to scratches as it protrudes from the back, and so can easily become scratched when you put it down. The good recessed design of the lifeproofs own lens means that it is very unlikely to become scratched. And the picture quality doesn't seem in any way diminished either when using the lifeproof case. Also the the 6s's very nice but very sleek smooth rounded edges just meant that it was very likely to just slip out my fingers with my dry skin, however this is not at all so with this case. I prefer the case to an insurance policy, and let's face it the case is easy enough to replace if ever necessary unlike components on the phone itself. In fact my phone now lives in its case 24/7 and will do from now on.

Another excellent case from life proof who live up to the quality and price you pay. Last time I had the nude see through back which lasted the two years but cracked and rubber deteriorated but no other cases can stand up to two years use as well so it’s just a matter of wear and tear they still protect the screen from drops even when old and battered! This time I’ve gone for the sleeker coloured option I didn’t want blue but it was available next day delivery and cheaper and I actually quite like the shade it’s brighter than I expected quite funky not a dull blue at all! It also means I can find it better than my conservative old grey one and nice to have a change. The feel of the case isflatter than the nude which has a lip around the screen so it also feels bigger and as I don’t look at the back that much so I probably think this one is the better of the two options. Love to see my iPhone but prefer to have it fully protected and the built in screen cover feels nice to use it’s not warped or bumpy but will have to wait and see if and how it scratches up yet.

I've had more cases than most people have eaten hot dinners. I've always gone for a protector case as I can be hard on my phones. I have an iPhone 4 from release date and it's still in mint condition while other people have destroyed them in days. I saw this case on special offer and took a chance. It's a piece of cake to fit, but I'd recommend using a decent microfibre cloth to clean your screen and the inside of the new case. Slip your phone into the case and then clip on the back. Press very firmly all around and your done. No screws to lose, no rubber inserts to struggle fitting into ports. I would strongly suggest that if you use fingerprint recognition, delete your prints and then add them again but with the charge port cover open to get a better fingerprint ID. 3 work colleagues have already ordered these cases after seeing mine.

I absolutely love lifeproof products. I have just bought this one to replace my old one. The old one I had on for two years, it kept my phone in pristine condition but due to the nature of my job (and my clumsiness) it was starting to look a bit worse for wear. The waterproofing worked great when my mate managed to capsize our canoe and it’s survived various drops down the loo.The fingerprint cover works well most of the time. The only problem I had with it was that people were becoming unable to hear me clearly on the phone. This was only a recent development but like I say, I’ve had the case for two years and I doubt any other cases would have lasted this long.I love it.It’s saved me £100’s in screen replacements for my iPhone.

I've had a Lifeproof case on both my iPad mini and iPhone since purchasing them two years ago. They are fantastic cases offering great protection. The items inside look like the day they were delivered with not a mark on them. They have been dropped, dunked in the sea (for photos) covered in sand and generally 'used'. This one was on a deal of the day so I thought I'd have a spare, not knowing the life of the membrane on the touch button, (am sure the rest of the case will last forever). Unfortuantely the colour on my computer screen looked dark graphite grey but the actual colour wa very much paler so not for me.

More or less as expected, well built and defiantly gives you peace of mind with a £600 phone. Fits together well although not tried it under water but defiantly better when using it in the rain.No audio issues, would have thought muffled sound with it being water tight but none. Callers say can hear me clearly.Home button and finger scanner work fine.Only niggle I've found is sometimes using Apple Pay the terminals say hold closer even when the phone is flat against it.Very impressed overall and so glad I went with the more expensive option. Will update once I have more use out it.

I’ve had this case for 18 months, had no problems with it, used it in the sea and it offers great protection on the beach. However the rubber button on the side that turns the ringer on and off has split and therefore the case is no longer waterproof. I’ve just discovered it’s not under warranty any more and since buying the case they have doubled in price. My own fault but I didn’t realise the warranty was only for a year

I am an outdoor instructor and take my phone everywhere I go in the water or on land. My phone has stayed in as new condition inside this case. I mostly charge my phone wirelessly through the case so probably havent used the flap that covers the charging port as much as some. I do often plug it in for data transfer or using different chargers and haven't had any issue with the flap breaking or not staying closed.

First LifeProof case I've tried but have used others, such as OtterBox and Griffin, on all iPhones. For the 6s the OtterBox and Griffin just didn't hit the spot for me, compared to earlier versions, so tried the LifeProof.Whilst the LifeProof seems less solid than the other two it does offer complete protection, is nice in the hand and adds very little mass to the 'phone - I leave it on the 'phone all the time.

Purchased for my daughter who is an iPhone killer. This case is very robust or at least feels that way but easy enough to put together that I wasn't even asked for help, it is built around the phone and includes covers for the charge point (flips up to allow charging) and the 3.5mm socket (unscrews). Before you do go and build it though make sure your phone is clean as it is less simple to get off again.

I have managed to drop my phone down some stone stairs and the case protected it. I have used it in the sea and it is waterproof. The case stops dust and fluff getting into headphone and charging sockets. Only downside is that it's a bit of a faff to have to use the headphone port adaptor to plug in head phones, but worth the bother to keep the phone safe and waterproof. Lifeproof - does what is says.

I always go for Lifeproof covers, that's because they work. Well OK, not always I have had a duff one that had to be replaced but I found that out immediately, so that's not a problem. But I can guarantee that this case will work even if you drop it in the toilet after having a very large curry the night before. It even survived the serious scrubbing it had to have to get rid of the smell.

The Frè is a great piece of kit, it’s slimline and works incredibly well with an iPhone touch screen. I have 100% trust in its ability to keep my phone safe, I have had one case for each iPhone I have bought. Expensive but totally worth it for peace of mind on adventures. Walking, skydiving, snorkelling it’s protected my phone through all.
