Ignore the people who dont know how to use it and who dont know how to make it even better than samsung themselves envisioned. See explanation below on how to make it even better by making a mod for wireless charging!I have been using the original flip case on my Samsung Galaxy Note for more than 2 years and bought another in brown colour too for my Note. My note has fallen numerous times hard enough to throw the battery out and flip out the case and the screen has been fine. Once the fall was through a sofa bed and the side hit the metal and i could hear it clang inside the sofa bed and the screen was fine but the plastic around the screen had a small notch but everything works fine.the quality of this flip case (s-view) is better than that of the original samsung galaxy note as the edges are a bit different and shouldnt hopefully fray like those on the samsung galaxy note. I have shown the difference in the edges on one of my youtube uploads. Even if it frays I will still buy one more as its sleek and stylish and protects my phone enough for me. Please note I have used the original flip case on the samsung galaxy note for more than two years now as am qualified to attest to its safety. Any phone screen will break even if you put it inside a brick of a case if the angle is right and the impact goes to the screen. Its just luck.If you want a stylish sleek case that adds next to nothing thickness with additional s-view features of accepting calls with case closed then this is the case for you. If you are the sort who likes to have their phones inside a brick then look elsewhere. If you like a brick then buy a tough smart phone instead. I have shown some of the tough smart phones on my youtube play lists (youtube user name veryannoyingname )You can buy a wireless charging base plate and receiving pad from amazon or ebay or many other websites and fit the receiving pad inside the s view cover and you will have a wireless charging S-View cover thats better than samsungs own wireless charging case as their own wireless charging case does not come in the flip S-View case version. See my youtube video on how to get wireless charging using the flip S-view case and buying third party Qi wireless charging pad and receiving pad. Watch how to make this great accessory than even samsung thought, click on this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=reYUIN_2nho or if amazon delete this link if its not allowed, then go to youtube and search for my video?v=reYUIN_2nho and enjoy you even more amazing wireless charging case. While you are on my channel look for my other uploads to buy even more amazing accessories for your samsung galaxy s4 from amazon uk and usa for wireless display mirroring and loads of other android videos on my uploads and play lists. For the people complaining the flip case just stays open. Make sure you close all the clips on the case, even if one stays open its difficult to see its open and case will stay open and if it still stays open then open the case and fold the places where it is supposed to bend using your fingers and then keep the case closed with face down for overnight and it will be fine. Its fine even with the additional depth of the wireless charging receiving pad inside and mine stays closed using the method i explained here. Enjoy your lovely flip cases. I paid £45 on launch for the samsung galaxy s4 and dont regret it and will buy a different colour when prices drop. But guess after many see my wireless charging video mod for the flip case with s-view amazon and other dealers might jack up prices as more people might want to do the wireless charging mod for the s-view case. Be careful not to break your screen as it can be tricky closing the back cover after putting the additional wireless charging receiver inside the s-view case as shown in my video on youtube.Have a great weekend making the wireless mod for your s-view case and amaze your family and other friends if they havent seen wireless chargers before. I have reviewed the wireless charging kit on amazon itself yesterday and elsewhere even though i had pre ordered it from ebay. But same seller seems to be selling on amazon for less as he seems to be new here. I paid more on pre order on ebay but now prices have fallen for the wireless charging kit so grab one cheap.

Beautiful good quality case. Having read previous reviews, I was a bit concerned as some warned about fake versions. I think a lot of different cases for different model phones have been reviewed here and these warnings might not go for all cases. The case I review here is the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 S-view case in gold. It is quite clearly a genuine product, with model & brand marked on both sides of the case. The back part fits perfectly in the back of the phone (replaces the existing battery cover) and holds the case perfectly in place. The material feels really nice and soft and has a lovely sheen to it. I would say the colour is pinkish gold - I think it looks great and smart, but it may be a bit girly for some. I actually wanted the gold version of the phone, but as it was about £60 more than the black version, I bought the black version. This case pretty much solves that problem for me. I was also pleasantly surprised by how well the front flip cover stays put on the screen. What others have said is true: the case does not have, and would benefit from, a magnet to hold it shut. However, I find with a light press on the front of the cover when closing it, it kind of sucks to the screen and stays there fine. The material is very supple, so the front cover folds away easily to the back when using the phone. I personally take care when placing it in a bag to wedge it in between flat things/a pocket, if you don't do that, it's possible that the case would flip open again with potential to scratch the screen. So if you prefer to be a bit rough or careless with your stuff, this case might not suit you. I think it's great how the phone responds to opening/closing the front cover by displaying the time & some info (you can customise this in the phone settings) and when you flip it open, it launches the default 'wake-up' screen as it would if you pressed the side button. I love this great quality case and I like how it protects the screen from scratching without needing a stick-on screen protector which I always think takes away some of the beauty of the super amoled screen. I personally don't have/use the cordless charging device, so I don't know whether that works with this case but I have found the battery to be more than good enough to last through a full day, so I just charge the phone via cord at night.

Received as gift, so I can't say for sure who supplied this. I say this because at the time of writing Amazon have suspended supply of this product pending investigation of a report from a customer saying the product was not as described. The manufacturing quality is good and the cover fits the Samsung Galaxy S4 perfectly. There's something built into the front cover which the S4 detects; when you close the cover the display adjusts to show through the window in the cover. A few seconds later the display switches off to save power. This is a good thing because when the 'window' display is active the brightness is way up. The reason for this is no doubt because with the cover closed the sensor cannot detect the light level to set the display brightness automatically. If you were in a bright daylight situation and a lower brightness level was set you may not be able to clearly see the display. Okay, this is as much about the functionality of the S4, but it shows the S4 and cover are working in harmony. If you receive a call with this cover on and closed, the caller ID and the answer/reject options are displayed within the window, just swipe the relocated controls as normal, no need to open the cover. Notifications are also displayed briefly in the window, so this is much better than an entirely solid cover. The hinge is very flexible so you can fold the cover neatly behind the phone. It also means you can use the volume control through the hinge, although not with the cover fully closed, it needs to be open sufficiently for the normal mode to be active. There have been some reviews which say the window was scratched or otherwise poor. On mine this was because there were two film covers to the window, one inside, one outside. The film covers were almost clear and there were no printed indicators, or tabs to remove them. Only by looking very closely was it possible to determine the films were present, other than what looked like a poor finish to the window. So, if the window of your cover appears scratched or not quite as clear, check for film covers. Carefully use a finger nail to drag inwards from the window edge until you raise an part of the film sufficient to remove it. Don't use anything harder or sharper because you could damage the window.

I had seen this view cover in mobile phone shops, and had considered it overpriced for what it is. The cost is right up there with the iPad smart covers, and whilst consumers are used to paying premium prices for Apple, not everybody can jump on the bandwagon at the moment. The reason I bought this was because it was very attractively priced compared to retail, and it is nice to think I will be making some effort to keep the look of the glass touchscreen for the duration of ownership of the S4. The case is basically a standard back with a plastic flap cover that is welded to the back, and hinged with a strip of flexible plastic. There is a clear viewing area that seems to be made of polycarbonate or something of similar rigidity. When the case closes, magnets built into the plastic front reconfigure the display on the phone to show key information in the viewing window. Altogether quite slick. There is barely any additional thickness to the phone with this case on, so the thin profile is maintained. The flap has a microfibre finish that is in contact with the screen, and plastic or vinyl front, then there is additional strengthening between these two layers to add rigidity. The hinge seems to be quite flimsy, and I am not sure how long it will last in daily use. Time will tell. I have had the cover fitted for one week now, and the front flap does not sit flat against the screen, but it is not far off, and does not spoil the look.If you are not going to subject your handset to heavy abuse, and don't need the sides protecting, then this is quite a nice accessory. It has received positive comments when sitting on the desk at work.

(EDIT: I bought this cover directly from Amazon. I'm certain it's not a fake. After several months, it's still as good as new. And it interacts properly with the Note 3 as the genuine cases do). This is a very nice looking case. I doubt it's leather, but it looks the part and looks very smart (in Indigo Blue anyway - the pink one looked cheap and nasty for some reason). Above all, it links properly to the Note 3, allowing you to answer calls, read texts, write Action Memos and play music without opening the cover. Which keeps the screen neater. The transparent screen on the case is a bit of a fingerprint magnet but cleans up as easily as the screen does with a microfibre cloth. All in all,I'm very glad I bought it. For me, it really enhanced both the functionality and the look of the Note 3.Oh, I have seen complaints because cases for earlier phones were rounded, following the curve of the phone itself. This case has squared-off corners which extend beyond the phone a little. And I'm so glad they do. Less than 2 days after receiving and fitting this case, my precious Note 3 plunged to a hard pavement from my hands. It landed dead on a corner. The case therefore took all the stress, which partially dislodged the back cover. The phone survived undamaged. If the corner hadn't extended a little from the body of the phone, I'm certain the phone itself would have been damaged. The case was unmarked and unhurt.

After a succession of faulty knock-off's from various local phone accessory merchants that all had to be returned due being faulty or just badly made, I decided to take the plunge and purchase this one in lovely teal. Although some of the reviews were very negative and stated that these are not genuine cases I decided that there were enough positive reviews to justify a £7 risk. I was being charged more than that from aforementioned dodgy outlets.Imagine my surprise when this lovely, well packaged case arrived. The box looks genuine with Samsung markings and codes on the side and upon closer inspection it immediately stood out as the best quality case I have ever purchased. It feels lovely and soft in the hand, the flip works perfectly and even the chip on the inside to activate the flip functions works well.It fitted perfectly and In the 2 weeks since I've had it I have never had to remove it to reset the chip or reactivate the functions.I don't know whether this is a genuine item or not and I don't care. This works as good as I imagine the real one to work at 1/6 of the price. It looks cool, works well and everyone who sees my phone thinks it's the latest note 4. Very pleased indeed. Also, I fitted the Spigen magnetic clip that is also excellent. Adds just the right amount of weight for it to self close and holds it firm enough when on its back.Excellent combo for £15. Looks and feels premium.

I bought this as I wanted (maybe I should say needed) to charge my phone wirelessly as the microusb cover seems very flimsy and will not last for daily opening for the lifetime of the phone, and it also acts as a cover. The really cool thing about this is that you do not need to open the cover to answer your phone, you can just drag your finger over the plastic window. The phone automatically recognises the cover, and once you open the cover the display come on.The back of the cover is raised about a millimetre above the holes for the camera lens and flash, so if you put your phone down on a flat surface then the camera lens won't get scratched. It protects the whole of your phone - front, back and as the sides of the cover are slightly longer than the phone's, it helps to protect the sides also. I am happy to use my phone with this case without putting a screen protector on it.The only reason I am giving it four stars instead of five is - as other people have mentioned - it has a tendency to not stay shut once it has been open. I find by turning it upside down for a while sorts it out, but I shouldn't have to do that. Additionally, it is a little tricky to adjust the volume

After reading some of the 1 * reviews I was a little bit skeptical about purchasing this product.I decided to go for the risk in the end as the message was pretty much the same on all sellers of this product I went to. It arrived with a recorded delivery on time and was well packaged.I also had a problem with it not closing perfectly at first but simply took it back off and reapplied making sure it was clipping in all the way around. The window'd mode and auto screen switch on work perfectly. The downsides;~As previously mentioned the volume rocker is a little obscured because of the case but it is not as big of a deal as some have made out, it is still very accessible.~On my case there is a little black mark on the inside surface of the case,it's not a problem and is only really noticeable if looking for flaws.~There is no cut out for the sensor on the phone, I liked to wave my hand over the phone and use the sensor to get a quick overview (Time, messages etc) without having to fiddle and find the side button. I would have liked to get a small cut out so it is still usable.Overall; good quality product but there are some minor sacrifices that come with the protection.

For other cases out there the price is a bit high for this case. However after reading poor reviews about the case not shutting properly I gambled. As the case arrived I instantly installed it onto the phone and had the same problem with everyone else (case not closing fully).Obviously took it off and installed it again to see if I clicked it all the way around and I did - still didn't close properly.I decided to take the case off and fold where the bend was, quite tightly but didn't make a single crease mark or anything. Reinstalled and voilà, the case closed perfectly. Now I've used it for a couple of months I love it. Pressing the side button to display information that you set in the settings is great.Especially for the time. Opening automatically comes to the unlock which is great. However with the case on the "Quick Glance" feature will not be available because the case blocks the sensor. Also you have to hold the case for texting and general use, however you do get use to this.Like I said for the price you could possibly wait for a drop in price or get a cheaper one but I would say it's a great idea from Samsung.

Gorgeous. Putting it on my phone made it instantly look like a little purse! As weird as that sounds, I basically means it makes my phone look stylish and classy. I've seen a male friend have the exact same phone case in black and it's very slick. It gives the phone great light protection (have dropped it once or twice and the phone was fine). The window is great - love the fact you can take photos through it and answer calls etc. Of course with it on it does mean you're not able to turn the screen on quickly by tapping the Home button or using the Accessibility hand motion sensor, and you need to use the side button, but besides that it does the job. It doesn't have a magnet to close the case's flap firmly, which I thought would be a disappointment, but it's actually not been an issue. It doesn't bounce up when closed, stays shut really securely and it's actually pretty convenient being able to open it up with just the flick of my wrist. However, whilst the S6's glass is mostly fingerprint proof, the plastic on the window is not. Gets dirty, very quickly and easily! Recommend buying a screen cleaner alongside this case.

I went for white, as my (work supplied) S4 was white. The old plastic cheap feeling back comes off and this replaces it with a similarly cheap feeling plastic back and a flimsy white front cover. Looked nice, but feels all rather flimsy. In practice it seems a lot more sturdy than it looks, and it does provide a bit of protection for the screen, without being awkward to use. The cover folds right around the back for use, and I don't really notice it's there when I'm using it.As far as I can tell mine looks genuine, and based on the cost it should have been. Packaging looked right, etc, but I note that there are multiple supplier options available for this item in differing colours - what aminefield. The inner cover is a slightly off-white felt/fabric feel which is nice and soft on the screen, but which has picked up a lot of dirt as I've used the phone over several months. Still looks OK though, and has worn much better than I'd initially expected. So, perfectly OK, and looks good, and is a lot hardier than it initially appears, but it is rather expensive.

After deciding "not a chance" when I saw the £45 price tag for this in Phones4U, I looked here on Amazon and found the same thing here for less than a quarter of the price! It is the official product (assuming it still is now), and works brilliantly and is a great cover for my S4.It works fine, and makes life easier when you get a phone call, being able to answer the calls without having to open the cover. It pretty much does what it says on the tin, all the features that is explained.NOTE: (This is a positive). You take the back off your S4, then replace it with this case as it is one piece, so it won't come off if you're flinging it about or drop it,as well as this it reduces the thickness that is added to the phone (as in it doesn't just add to the thickness of the phone, it uses the phones design to its advantage compared to other cases which you just add the phone cover plain over the top of the phone). To be fair, you barely notice the difference in your pocket when you've put the cover on.

This case is a fantastic, lightweight aesthetically pleasing case. The colour is exactly as in the picture (think Michael kors rose gold for you trendy people).I really like how you have to remove the back to put it on because it makes the case so versatile and slim which is a huge improvement from some of the cases of the same price. The touch screen feature works with no problems, nice little feature which gives you the necessary info quickly. I love that it's customisable and it crops the picture very nicely.I've given it 4 stars as I've yet to drop test it and I worry for how it will deal with drops as it does leave a lot of the 'high risk' areas (corners) exposed. Also,it's a shame it doesn't have a card holding feature but that's just because that's what I've been used to previously. One other small thing to note is it took a few days of wear before the front closed fully when unused - I think it was just due to the material needing to flex a bit. It closes fully now, but just be aware.

I really like this case - it is great addition to the S5 phone - having the windowed screen allows visible information even when the phone is protected. I have a screen protector as well, and even with that the touch operation through the window is easy. Opening the case and folding it back does not make it too bulky but the case needs to be placed upside-down to restore the close feature - I have solved this with the Spigen magnet set for the S-View case which is simple but worthwhile. The only issue as mentioned by others is after powering up the S5 prompts you to verify the case has been placed on the S5 securely as it becomes the phones rear cover - fitted in place of the removable backcover - this is a pain as I often need to power it off with flights and areas where phones are not allowed - but only takes a couple of seconds to confirm this x2.So 4 1/2 stars from me - not an option from Amazon - so I do 'love it' but not as yet 5/5 - after a longer test I may update this review.
