This is my second Samsung flip cover, I've been using the S3 Mini one for over a year now. I really like them, but if this will be your first one there are a few points you should note.First, these are effectively replacement back/battery covers for your phone with an attached front flap for extra protection, so you need to remove the back cover before attempting to fit this. You'll notice a few reviews saying the cover is too small, probably because the owners haven't realised this! They provide good extra protection for the screen when slipping your phone in and out of pockets or bags. They look good and are a good way of changing the colour of your phone if you get bored of it. However, they won't provide any real protection if the phone is dropped as the front flap is likely to open and is pretty thin anyway, so if all-round protection is what you need, look elsewhere. When you first get the cover you'll notice that after folding it back on itself it won't lie flat over the screen when you close it again. This issue is only temporary, after some regular use the fabric that forms the hinge will soften enough that the cover will immediately lie flat on the screen again when closed even if it's been sitting folded back on itself all day (mine often does, on my desk at work). Until this happens, simply setting the phone face down for a minute after closing the cover will make it lie flat again. Finally, be sure you're getting a genuine Samsung cover - there are a lot of cheap copies out there and it seems many of the negative reviews are from people who've wound up with them. I can say from experience that the genuine Samsung covers are good quality and last well - my S3 mini one shows no signs of wear and tear even to the hinge, and it's spent a year being folded back on itself almost as much as it's been over the screen.I recommend buying direct from Amazon if you're buying online - this will cost a little more than Marketplace sellers, but still much less than you'd pay on the high street. Keep an eye on Amazon Warehouse Deals too, I got mine there in pristine condition for a fiver!

I'm on my second one of these now. The first I paid something like twice as much for in the high street so the price is comparatively good. Why am I on my second? Well the plastic seams on my previous one started coming apart, revealing the hard plastic sheet that gives the part overlying the screen its rigidity. It was good to see this was plastic rather than cardboard but disappointing that the seams didn't hold up better. I actually keep the phone and case in a generously proportioned neoprene case so it's not as if it gets abraded in pockets or is wedged too tightly into an outer case. It lasted about 6 weeks before the first signs of wear appeared and then over the following weeks, the seams really started to give out. I think the old case would have still functioned for months and months (out of curiosity, I tried to tear it up with my bear hands but couldn't) but it looked really tatty. The inside of the part overlying the screen has a sort of felt-like texture. It's OK but is inclined to hold dirt from sweaty hands! The whole thing attaches to the phone by replacing the existing phone back. As the case is made by Samsung, it fits perfectly and looks exactly the same as the original back, albeit a little thicker which is good.I've given this 4 stars because it looks especially smart (at least when new!), fits perfectly, is surprisingly tough and offers as much protection as you can expect from this type of case. Though generally well made, it still loses a star because despite careful handling, it just doesn't keep it's smart appearance for as long as you might expect for a case of this price. Whoever makes these cases for Samsung need to do a little more work on the seams and the resilience of the plastic skin overlaying the front flap.

I initially bought a cheap and cheerful £3 white case from here but was poorly designed with the pen, charging port and buttons unaccessable, so I took the plunge and bought one of these, possibly the most expensive case for a phone I have ever bought, but for a £500 quid phone you have to dress it to reflect its value, there's no sense in having a ipad and carrying it in a carrier bag....I bought the orange case, and at first I was a little dissapointed with the colour, but it has grown on me, the colour is not as flourecent as I would of hoped (I was thinking Ford Focus ST Electric Orange) but was more of a pastel peach colour, but it is a perfect fit as you would expect being manufactured by Samsung themselves,The colour really stands out and everyone always asks 'what on earth is that?' or 'why orange, just why?' lolHowever only niggles I have is when playing games where you have to tilt the phone on its side, controlling it can be difficult, another issue I have found is that the cover does not lock into place, there is nothing stopping it from moving freely when in a bag.As for build quality, its great, the texture on the front is a great non-stick feel and looks solid, the rear is made from the same high quality plastic as the original back cover so no worries there,All in all a great case, would of opted for the light blue or black case, stay away from the white as it discolours quickly, my mate has one and is now partially blue thanks to a new pair of jeans, but god knows how this phone can be carried in a pocket, I worry that if I crouch down the screen will crack.Cheers!

Great little case that does exactly as it describes!Being an official Samsung product, there are no issues of the case not fitting here, with the case replacing the back cover of the phone. I've found that the case back cover is a little more rigid than that which comes with the phone, so potentially more protection there. It is also slightly deeper than the phone's back cover, providing a little extra protection for the camera lens and LED flash, which a thumbs up from me.The cover is very elegant, perfectly mimicking the shape of the phone, adding very little bulk. The phone feels a bit heavier, but this is a price to pay in order to protect the screen without having to use a plastic screen protector in my opinion. It's a lot better than the official equivalent cover for the S5 Mini, which might provide a little more protection for the sides of the phone if dropped, but is in all other aspects a worse design. In this respect, don't expect the case to protect from any drops which might smash the screen - functionally this is simply to prevent the screen from being scratched.I'm really happy with my purchase all-in-all. I've found it a bit fiddly to fold the cover all the way back to text two handed and to properly access the volume rocker with ease, but this is probably just down to me being silly and the product only being new. A bit of wear in and experience with the cover will no doubt help here.TLDR; great product that's protects the screen, fits perfectly, elegant. Can be fiddly to use volume rocker or fold back completely, but likely to be less of an issue with increased use.

I bought a lime green flip cover to replace the white flip cover (identical, just different color) because the white tends to get dirty quickly, and it's also harder to find your phone on white tables and such. I liked the look of the lime green colour a lot in the images and hadn't seen this colour in local stores so I ordered it here.I just received my order and unfortunately instead of a stylish lime green the color is more of a highlighter/neon yellow. I compared it to an actual highlighter and it's only a tad less bright than that, but nothing like the color in the image Samsung provides.Because the shipping to return it from the Netherlands would be almost the same as the price of the cover here (which is very good,a lot less than local stores charge for this cover) I won't return it but I don't know if I will use it or try to sell it on.As for the cover itself, I have been using the white for about 6 months and I think it's a great cover, the screen is always protected when you put your phone aside, it takes pretty much no effort to flip it over the screen, it's comfortable and hardly adds any volume to your phone. The only downside is that it makes it harder to fit the phone in customized docks like a car dock, I was going to get a brodit holder for it but that would mean taking off the cover (which includes the battery cover) to get it to fit so I'm now using a universal holder, which does work fine, it's just more of a hassle to plug in the charger.

Early adopter so received my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in the first week of October 2012 and needed a case. After trying a couple of pouches and silicon cases, which just made the Note 2 if more bulky. Decided to go for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Clip-On Replacement Battery Cover Flip Case. Had my reservations, looking at reviews for the S3 version of the case. Plus the Note 2 Clip-On Replacement Battery Cover Flip Case was £26.I expected that I would be replacing the case after 3 months.7 months later, the case has been on my Note 2 every day (mid-Oct 12 to June 13). Has been removed frequently to swap batteries over. The case appears to be unaffected by the daily use (and I use it heavily,4+ hours of calls, 4+ hours browsing/SkyGo/Spotify/blogging/notes), it spends many hours in trouser and jacket pockets. Indeed it appears in pristine condition. Some people must treat their devices with little or no respect, hence the damage to the case. With this case you get minimalist protection, that works well. It protects the screen perfectly. At the current price it is superb.NOTE: Jun2013 just received another Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Clip-On Replacement Battery Cover Flip Case and it was not the 'original samsung accessory' that it was advertised as. It is a bad quality FAKE(I already have two official Samsung flip covers and the quality of these is far superior). Genuine product is several grams heavier than the FAKE shipped by CookieShop, Hong Kong.

I ordered from Total Digital Stores for an excellent price and it arrived the following day luckily as my new Galaxy S5 needs protection urgently and I'm very happy with this case. The fit is perfect as is the stitching. Beautiful to look at and very practical with it replacing the phones back cover making it hardly any thicker than the phone, the front flap is a hard inflexible material and has a relief pocket for the home button so no accidental presses. Also has the wake function when opening the case. And another nice touch is a soft hinge area with +/- area where the volume buttons are so it's possible to use them without even opening the case.Once again it's a stunning case, ultra thin, utterly perfect stitching and design, even the outer corners are sharper curve than the phone so giving protection there too incase of an accidental drop. I chose white as it was cheapest at £6.18 delivered which even if this was double I probably would still have purchased it purely down to how good it is.UPDATEI too seem to get random alerts when i unlock my phone telling me to check the back cover is fitted correctly. Very annoying and doesn't do it with the original cover on just this Samsung Flip case one. Seems a common issue, more annoying than anything else as if u tap the screen the message goes but still as much as i like this i've bought a bouncy cheap gel case instead.

The case fits on the back of the Galaxy S5 instead of the back battery cover which makes it more slimline than most other cases. It still has the seal around the important parts keeping the phone just as waterproof as before. The case itself looks absolutely gorgeous. Fine leather with "Galaxy S5" carved into the front as well as a hole for phone speaker on the front so you can close the case and still talk on the phone without putting your face right next to the screen. On the back "Samsung" is etched in along with holes for camera, flash, vitality sensor and main speaker. Both holes have a small rim of plastic to keep it protected.Opening and closing the front of the case activates and deactivates the screen which is a small but neat feature to add.The only thing I find wrong with the case is the fact that there is no magnet to keep it closed so once you have used it quite a bit, the case automatically swings open unless face down. Other than that, this case looks and feels great.Key Points:- Replaces back piece for phone for slim design- Phone is still waterproof- Aesthetically pleasing- Feels great to the touch- Nice 'etchings' in the case, good design- Opening the case activates the screen- No magnet to keep closed

£3.11 including delivery for a yellow genuine flip case (from seller: SWH DIRECT LTD) = I was skeptical of this being genuine but it does appear to be of fair quality, it was 'bulk packed' so it arrived in a cellophane wrapper but close inspection of the back cover and it seems identical in the build compared to the original back cover that it replaces (identical looking fasteners which I doubt a fake case would be so identical looking) Fits my S4 Mini 4G LTE (GTi9195)So, bright yellow means I won't lose the phone and hopefully no one will want to steal it :D - as others say, this replaces the back cover so doesn't really provide any additional protection than the original back cover does, you're only getting the front slightly more protected. Sadly there's no magic magnet to turn on the screen like some flip cases have and nothing to keep the front latched (magnetically or mechanically) so this case is more for protecting the screen in a pocket, case, bag rather than damage from drops etc.But for the price I paid, it's superb value, but hell I wouldn't pay £18 for the black colour version!

This is clearly a high quality product. I purchased two different covers at the same time this one and a Jimmy Lizard one with magnetic closure and viewing section.1) Samsung cover;POSITIVES - high quality, all cut outs in correct position.NEGATIVES - Concerned that the front cover can open therefore the screen could get damaged.2) Jimmy Lizard cover;POSITIVES - magnetic closure, clear view cut out at front which enables viewing of time & texts received; answering the phone without opening the cover which in turn makes it much more comfortable to use.NEGATIVES - the charging cut out at the bottom of the cover is too small, able to plug in but does fall out very easily (not fully connected).I have cut to correct size using a blade then used a marker pen to colour in the now white exposed plastic.CONCLUSION - I have only had the covers for one week. For practical and ease of use purposes I am currently using the Jimmy Lizard cover and aim to use the Samsung cover as a back up when it falls apart (it may not???)

Genuine article and does what it says on the tin. This product protects your phones screen from any knocks and scratches but will not protect your phone falling from your hands onto the ground. Because this is a genuine Samsung product the back of the case will clip into the phone and seal it to maintain the phones IPV7 rating. I have seen reviews stating that this makes the phone chunkier than usual, I don't see this as the case. There is one slot for a credit card or bus pass etc. Would not recommend putting your credit or bank card in the slot as there was a warning not to do so in the packaging but also it is common sense to separate credit/bank cards from phones just in case you get your phone nicked. This case makes your shiny Samsung Galaxy S5 look even classier (I have the copper gold edging on the phone and it looks really swish in the black cover. In summary brilliant accessory for your phone, it gives it a classy look while giving limited protection to your phones screen.

I paid £12.56 for the white cover in Dec '12.After going though a few 3rd party protective covers I decided to get an official Samsung protector after too many disappointments (see my other reviews...). Initially I was unsure of it as it doesn't really offer any rear protection but then it hit me, you remove the original battery cover so if you want to sell it on you can do so in it's original excellent condition, with it's original cover. The battery cover supplied with the screen cover is exactly the same as the original coverThe screen cover has a strange pitted texture but on realisation it is there to aid grip as two smooth surfaces would just make it easier for your phone to slip out your hands. It doesn't offer any rear protection but I was aware of this when buying. Over all for the price I paid I'd give it 5 stars as it really improves the overall appearance and offers very good front protection. For the original £30 RRP I'd give it 3 or 4 stars.

As a Samsung product this case fits the S4 Mini perfectly. It incorporates a replacement back cover with a similar printed design as the original black cover although it is slightly more raised so as to protect the camera and flash lenses. The front flip cover is surprisingly robust and has a brushed vinyl outer with a soft velvety lining. There is a cut out for the ear piece and depressions for the home button and one of the sensors. The hinge is made from the same material as the flip cover without the stiffener with markings to indicate where the volume rocker is located beneath. In use the flip cover can either be held for support or folded behind to keep it out of the way.The case is well made from quality materials and is perfect for someone who doesn't want a completely separate case. However, I would not recommend this case for someone who is clumsy or who might expose their phone to certain hazards as the edges are almost completely exposed.

One of the factors for most people that by the S4 mini is probably its compact size, so to buy the S4 mini then put it in a huge padded case on it is therefore counter-productive. You do however need to protect the lovely yet vulnerable screen from damage. One logical answer to this is the Samsung flip case. The case consists of the front plastic "flap" that protects your screen which is attached to a replacement back for the phone itself. A little overpriced perhaps but as it has the Samsung name on it, that is not too surprising. The build quality seems good and the fit to the back of the phone is excellent. The increase in general size is negligible. There is no edge protection if you drop the phone but you can't have the penny and the bun. If you want a bit of extra protection for your valuable and vulnerable screen but don't want to fill out your pocket with a bulky pouch or cover, this may be the one for you.

This cover is the best I have bought. I would recommend it even though it is expensive.Pros:Slim (because it replaces the back cover). This is really important to me because the phone is massive and I can keep it in my pocket with this case. Cases that cover the back add too much volume.Good lookingNice materialsColour of back matches the front precisely because it is offical.Colour of front is good match for phone.Cons:Others have stated that durability is poor (material coming off at the seams is an issue. I have not had it long enough to judge)The white cover can be stained relatively easy (blue from my jeans pocket on a dry day).Doesn't protect the corners of the phone. If you are likely to drop this phone then maybe a different case is better. It doesn't have a lock which means that if you dropped the phone the case may swing open and the screen could get damaged.Relatively expensive.
