I saw the negative reviews on here but thought I'd risk it anyway, as the alternative was to carry the lock in my backpack.It's actually much better than I expected! It's better than the bracket that comes with the lock. Much sturdier. It also tightens onto a seat post with a rubber and material strap, instead of the rubbish plasticy one which is on the standard kryptonite bracket.You replace the old metal locking sleeve on your lock with one of the two supplied (depending on the size of your lock).I'd recommend buying it, even though it's a bit pricey.

I was hesistant to purchase after reading all the negative reviews but decided to take the chance and am pleased that I did. I had a bike shop install it for me during a unrelated repair, the staff member assured me mounts like this are the best around granted you use them correctly (don't overtighten and readjust every couple weeks).I've had mine for over a month now and my lock stays put without ever getting in my way.

Kryptonite have created a simple yet versatile way to carry your bike lock. When I couldn't find a cheap lock with decent bracket to carry it I just thought if only I could get the same one as on the New York model i already own for my other bike and what do you know its sold separately and can be fitted to cheaper brands in seconds. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Fits my D-Lock using the larger bracket, and once secured onto the frame is locked tight in place. Fully adjustable across two axis, so you can have a large lock stand off from the frame but still in line with it.

Took a while to figure out where on my bike frame to fit it. When mounted horizontally the lock kept falling out and rattled a lot. When mounted vertically or angled downwards, lock stays put and does not rattle.

Works fine, just needs replacement after a while. I like how convenient it is to just put your lock on your bike quickly instead of carrying it around.

Seems to stick out quite far from the bike wherever it's placed but much sturdier than the alternative which I had before. Delivered promptly.

Easy enough to install (will not leave permanent marks on your bike’s frame), and is secure and snug-fitting enough to avoid rattling.

Does exactly as it says on the tin and it came quickly. It was very handy given how bad the original clip is!
