The pen is nice and small and not near as heavy and "chunky" as it might look. To me the fact that the finish gets scratched over time is great as it gives it character. Writing with it is Aldo a great, nice and floowing after you use it for a while to clear the protective wax on the nib (I'm not sure that was wax)
