I am really happy with these gloves so far! They are warmer than I would have expected for the weight they are (what's up merino), and fit well under another pair of gloves. I bought them for xcskiing so that I could wear them under a pair of mittens to start and then take off the top layer when I warmed up. As it hasn't snowed yet, I haven't had the chance to test them out for that purpose, but they've been great as a solo layer in the current cooler than I'd like fall temps. I have poor hand circulation and they've kept me warm while biking, walking, and waiting for the bus. The one thing I would change (not knowing if this would be easy to do with the material)is that I would make the wrist holes a little smaller so that after you put the glove on it fits more snugly at its base. Even a strap to tighten the bottom after they are on would be nice! That being said, these have been great gloves so far and I'm looking forward to getting out on skis with them when the weather turns.

These gloves are great worn alone in cool-cold dry weather, and perfect for under a pair of shell gloves or mittens in cold weather. They dry quickly, and feel dry even when slightly wet. One of the coolest features (of merino in general, but I noticed it more in these tight fitting gloves) is how they regulate temp. If you get them wet you can almost feel the water immediately warm up to match body your body temp.Only slight issue is fit, but I may have just gotten a size too small. The fingers are tighter than the palm, which was strange at first but isn't necessarily all bad, because it improves dexterity. The fingers are also too short for my hands. Since it is the holiday season, however,I will give these mediums as a gift, and order myself a new pair in large.I also like the 260 gm merino. I haven't tried the thinner option, but these seem like a good sturdy weight.

I was hesitant to purchase these liners bc they are unisex. However, the size chart indicates the xs would fit my small female hands, and it was correct! I just received them and it fits well. Although, and obviously, I have not tried them in cold temps yet, I am already confident they'll make the perfect liners. I always have cold hands/fingers so I wear heavy duty, super insulated, ski gloves in the winters. After receiving a nice pair of low profile down mitts recently, I decided it's about time to get a pair of liners (yes, even 550 fill Canadian goose down w/ no synthetic fill doesn't keep me warm). As I pull the these wool liners on, i immediately started feeling heat being trapped. That's pretty amazing for a liner. I thought only my ski gloves can do that. Not to mention, these liners are thin and made with 98% wool! Very impressed!

These are amazing. They are comfortable, soft, and super warm. They fit me perfectly and feel great to wear, I absolutely love these gloves. I'll be using them as a base layer for all the gloves and mitts I buy in the future.I've been using them without any other gloves and tucked into the hand warmer pockets of my jacket and they are toasty. My hands have never been so warm when it's so cold, -20°C and still going strong.I usually fit XL gloves, although I might have to size up to XXL to accommodate these as a base layer, but I'll have them with me everywhere I go so there won't be any confusion. The added warmth and temperature regulation is worth it.FITSize up.The only reason why XL gloves still fit great without being able to size up to XXL(they don't make them) is because my fingers are very skinny.

I am a commuter bicyclist and unless there is ice on the road I enjoy my 5 mile commute throughout the year. I have struggled finding gloves that keep my hands from going numb when the temps are in the teens or lower. I had been using polypropylene glove liners inside my Craft "lobster claws", but these wool glove liners are even nicer and they come up my wrist farther. I don't have large hands, but it might appear that the folks who set glove sizes are tiny people. So, get a larger size. The true oddity for me is that the XL size fits my palms and wrists nicely while the fingers fit like compression socks fit my feet...quite snug. I was concerned, but after riding with them my fears were put to rest.Overall: These are comfortably warm glove liners-order them big-be ready for a finger sqeeze.

Bought the Apex mid-weight glove liners because I love the light weight Oasis liners I've used for several years and wanted a little heavier option. I use them in winter under mountain bike gloves and Ultimate (Frisbee) gloves for added warmth but the thinness of the gloves allows for feel and grip. Bulkier gloves are just too thick and don't allow for flexibility and proper feel. I also use both Apex and Oasis for lightweight gloves for cool weather runs when I need some cover but full weight gloves are too much. Even when the gloves get wet with sweat my hands stay warm, unlike other materials that keep damp, cold sweaty fabric clinging against you. Both Apex and Oasis liners are great to have to adjust layers for the situation.

I've always had a problem keeping my fingers warm in gloves so I've always used mittens. Well, mittens have to come off if I'm going to get the right key to unlock the door or any other small tedious finger task. So, I found that icebreaker wool liners are PERFECT to go in my mitten AND still keep my fingers warm when I need to pull my hand out of the mitten to quickly do something. Or even to drive once my steering wheel is decently warmed up. Cotten liners just don't cut it - my fingers still get cold. I'm successful with Icebreaker liners though so I recommend.

I bought these gloves to wear under my motorcycle gloves.I’m very pleased with the quality, feel and warmth.Being seamless, they are very comfortable and work well as liners. They replace an older pair of merino liners from another famous kiwi label. They’re more expensive but look and feel to be much better quality.I struggled a little with the price; they’re not cheap, but then quality products seldom are.The price is long forgotten and I’m still very pleased with the gloves. If you can afford them then forget the price and appreciate the quality.

Wow! Amazing dexterity without freezing your fingers! They've worked down to -27C thus far for me. As I step into my old 75mm tele bindings, attaching the leaches and lifting the heel clamps over the back on my old 2 buckle Scarpas, such procedure isn't always as quick as I'd like it to be, and it's even slower while putting on or removing climbing skins; but my fingers stay warm enough the whole time my Goretex cover mitts or gloves, are off. Yes, I would recommend these for a multitude of outdoors activities at very cold temps.

Picked these up to go underneath some older outer shell gloves, and they are perfect! They fit snug, feel nice, and definitely add a lot of warmth. My hands get cold really easily so it's always hard to find gloves that keep me warm for long cross country ski trips. These plus some wind and waterproof outer gloves fit the bill! I did notice the fingertips have a few strands coming lose, hence the 4 stars. The fabric still feels solid though, and as they are liners, I'm not too worried. Would definitely recommend.

I used these glove liners on a wilderness dog sled trip, and they were perfect to have as the base layer. I also wear these for more casual outdoor use.You can wear them solo but they will not last as long as using them as liners if you are doing something with your hands such as harnessing dogs. These fit very well and keep me warm. Also, when I recently had a problem with my second order of these gloves, Icebreaker was very responsive and helpful with outstanding customer service.

I like gloves to finish below the wrist and to have sufficient finger length. After using the measuring guide I decided to go for the medium size but as this was out of stock I took a risk and ordered the small size. This small size are perfect as if made to measure for me! They are a lovely length overall in every way. The quality is amazing, so very comfortable and warm.I wear them as stand alone gloves as I don't like bulk and these are very elegant looking too.

I have really cold hands so bought these for my commute. They are really thin but do the job of keeping my hands warm. I wore them riding my bike today and they gave a nice level of insulation while still leaving me feeling safe to bike in traffic. I have only worn them a few times and have noticed that velcro on a jacket pocket has already caused some pilling at the fingertips. They fit me well and seem like they will last for a while.

I have 3 pairs and they are used in every condition. I wear them as liners and on their own. I don't have the problem of them fitting snug or the premature ripping. I have put them through everything and they still look and feel great. On their own they are perfect when I go to work and all I need is a barrier against the chill. I would stay away from wearing these on exertive sports as they will not last (like cycling cloves).

My hands freeze as soon as I step outside. I’ve tried many mitts gloves and liners but none of them compare to my ice breakers. Hands are now warm wearing these in my other gloves even in minus 27 Alberta weather. I put off ordering them thought they were a bit pricey for liners but they are worth every penny. Oh and fit like a glove!!! Actually ordering another pair for myself and one for my wife.
