This is certainly good-looking DDR4 RAM, from one of the best manufacturers of computer memory (HyperX is a Kingston brand), and it’s good for overclocking above the DDR4 standard. However, be aware that it’s pretty tall, and may foul some CPU air-cooling options. The DDR4 standard has a memory clock speed of 2133 MHz. However, folk who like to overclock their systems can overclock not only the CPU but also their RAM transfer rates. When you plug these modules into your motherboard, you’ll get the default 2133 MHz until you enable overclocking in the BIOS (there may be an XMP memory overclocking option: this is safer than adjusting the settings manually, but even with XMP there is some risk of instability). The advantages of buying memory in pairs (for dual-channel motherboards) or in fours (for quad-channel) is that the sticks are guaranteed to work together. If you’re overclocking, then even buying two seemingly identical sticks of RAM separately can sometimes cause issues (but it’s unlikely you’ll see similar problems at 2133 MHz if all your memory is of the same type). Even if you don’t plan to overclock, buying memory like this, that’s good for up to 2666 MHz, can be beneficial, delivering greater reliability at the lower clock speed.Note that overclocking RAM is unlikely to make any really noticeable impact on your computer’s performance, except in a few edge cases. Overclocking the CPU will make a far more noticeable difference. But if a computer with “go faster stripes” for show is what you’re looking for, every little you can do is worth it.RAM with LED strips on top is likely to appeal to system builders who want to show off their computer’s innards, and that normally means a water-cooled CPU. My main gaming PC uses aircooling, specifically a Noctua NH-U14S, which is a massive radiator and a 140 mm fan, which juts out over the DDR4 slots. There’s about 2mm clearance over Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 (without LEDs); there is insufficient clearance to fit this HyperX Fury memory at all, which rather scuppered my plans. I appreciate this is an edge case, but it’s something to be aware of. I’ve instead used the HyperX memory in a different computer with an Intel i5 running Linux, which means I haven’t been able to overclock or try out the LED customisation app. So it’s just as well that the default lighting patter n is rather lovely, with a coruscating rainbow of colours cycling down the spine of both RAM sticks in unison.

Buying RAM is something that's not overly exciting but very essential for your build. As with all "gaming" spec hardware these days there is an aggressive style for the products with RGB and sharp angles etc. If that's the look you're going for then great but it doesn't bring anything to performance.Knowing this you know what you're getting yourself in for and the Hyper X Fury is no different. The RGB and aggressive heat shield style bring nothing in terms of performance and the heat shield isnt needed in my opinion but does add to the style of the whole gaming world.Knowing the speeds you're buying means I can't really comment on this being only 2666mhz as higher speeds are available so if you need them, get the faster kit.One mark down on performance is the timings on this kit. At 2666mhz there are kits with better timings available. This is where the 1 star is knocked off.Onto the RGB, this is fairly subtle for some RGB stuff, and the HyperX NGenuity 2 software is highly customisable but mine was quite buggy. Sometimes it wouldn't find the RAM and I'd have to reboot the software and sometimes it did work. Reinstalling the suite and running as admin helped but it was still a little buggy. I'd say use a stable MOBO software if you can but again it makes no difference to thr actual performance so to me I'm not that bothered about the flame effectsOverall it's a good RAM kit but with a few little glitches and love it or hate it styling. One of the main selling points is with the 2666mhz kit is plug and play with all AMD and Intel builds and this will be a huge plus for those who are new to building and want something that works out of the box. For me the styling seems to be the most important thing these days but that's pretty much par for the course with "GaMiNG!!!!" hardware.

Building a new rig and fancied some RGB ram to bring light to the case. These came out cheaper than their Corsair counterpart and after doing some reading I found that it's difficult to control both Corsair RGB products and other RGB products. Luckily these can be controlled through MSI software. They worked perfect out of the box and look great, though the light transitions could be smoother.I did purchase a 2nd set of 2x8GB after my initial purchase but was unable to get them to work together, or even on their own, so they were returned and I will stick with 16GB for now. I am aware that mixed pairs don't always work together but I have had them working in the past on previous builds. So if you are looking to fill 4 slots on the motherboard, buy a kit that comes ready with 4 sticks of ram to save a headache.

Previous LPX corsair RAM was also 3200Mhz but never hit the overclock no matter what we tried. This HyperX RAM worked first time at 3200Mhz on a first gen ryzen b350 motherboard!Set XMP to profile 2 (best stability for me) and set voltage as specified. No issues at all, passed Karhu RAM test first time as well as Memtest & prime95.If you are looking for some fast ram to truly unlock your RYZEN build potential, these are highly recommended. Not only do they look good, they actually run to specification with zero hassle and at a fair price. You don't need any special software to get the RGB lights to work, your bios likely can control this or worst case the default has a nice rainbow effect. Not normally my thing but looked good.

Excellent !! Arrival right on time of the year when I build my PC .I make PCs before Christmas And this year I was planning to make a transparent one this looks fabulous and would go well with the color zi am thinking on my PC.I tested this on my current PC and it's really made a difference in the boot time is few seconds faster then my same spec RAM.So all good recommend for this price point.

This is actually a 2400Mhz DIMM but with XMP 1: 2933Mhz and XMP 2 : 3466MHz.In most uses it works as intended but in some applications the xmp makes the application very unstable and just blue screens your computer to death every 2 minutes which even with my NVME ssd that boots my computer in 10 seconds is still very annoying.

All in all, this DDR4 ram does the job and adds some extra light to your life which is brilliant, I however swapped these with Corsair as I found the RGB to be very stuttery on these Ram sticks and also aura sync etc didn’t work well. Performance wise it’s great though and probably the same as most DDR4 modules out there.

I'm in love with the RGB on these ram. It is bright and the transition between colours are very smooth and can be hypnotic! If you are installing them in your new PC make sure you check the speed in your bios because mine didn't run at 3200mhz at default so I had to manually increase the speed.

This is great thing for a price that I got it.Preforms without any issues on 3200mhz.RGB works nice with AURA link on asus motherboard. No issues with AMD 7 3700X compatibility and X570 MotherbGood thing, will deffinetly by 16gb more for full set

Excellent quality easy to install with no issues and easily overclocked using the AMD Master Utility app where u can changed many settings related to memory speed and voltage and others. So far so good ?

Came today installed but didn't work, however, after taking it out I saw a bit of dust that had made its way into the ram slot and after removing it works a charm and love the RGB amazing and great value

Looks great in the computer case and really sets of the RGB fans I have. I chose this particular brand for price and the fact they were delivered by a local PC shop.

Bought for my partner who was building his own p.c. Three weeks ago. It’s now up and running and he seems happy with the quality and performance so far.

I bought the 16Gb 3200 MHz RAM and have over clocked it at 20-23-23-45 @4000MHz. Stress tested and running stable since purchase- very happy.

I thought i would have to go through pain finding the right RAM for my Aurora. But this RAM fit perfectly well. Recommend it to Aurora owner.
