If you like a bit of bling, get the gold one. Although I'm sure the other colours will be just as nice. These are well-worth buying for their good looks. I'm surprised how classy they are but that they could also fit in very well with any decor from classic to funky to bohemian or cottagey.I bought the gold one and am considering another colour.I bought it as a fly screen but am also hoping it will act as a deterrent to the little birds that keep bashing their heads against the glass door because they can see the open sky reflected in it. Also, there is one great big pigeon who thinks he can fly through and ends up making a dreadful mess on my doorstep! Fingers crossed! If it works,I'll leave the curtain up all year round. The view to the outside is not obscured too much and I'm speaking as one who loves to look out at the garden as much as possible. There is a very deep aperture at the top for putting a pole through, approx. 3 inches deep (so times that by 2 means it would go over a pole approximately 6 inches in diameter, if necessary. I have used a quite narrow, adjustable sprung pole that is self suspending and it works well. You can buy these on Amazon, in various lengths.

Came quickly, and package well. I accidentally bought the ones that were extra wide extra long. No matter. I measured against my out side front door, and cut to width. I bought standardized curtain wire with screw in hooks. Put in the hooks in the frame. Measured length of wire put in eyes hooked them up. Job done. They have lots of string per inch and I thought these will not work. Had them up a few days didn't think they were that good took them down and the house filled with flys bluebottles wasps etc. Sprayed the house put them back up...no flys or wasps great. They cut easy well made the big one I bought has done 2 outside doors and the little bit left over was big enough for my caravan door.So well worth the money. Will buy these again. Nee Bosh.

My only problem with these curtains (I bought two) is that one had a string with a knot in it where it had been snapped and repaired . Obviously the seller cant check every curtain but I read reviews before I purchased mine and this seemed to be a problem that others buyers had come across so surely a word with the manufacturer is needed as they must know some of the strings get damaged and knotted together , have they heard of quality control ! For the price I decided to keep mine as its hung in my caravan doorway and not too obvious, if they had been for somewhere prominent in my home I would of returned them. Otherwise they look ok.

Looks a bit ugly but so effective against flies and wasps! Doesn’t come with a pole so you need to buy that separately. I like it that it’s lightweight because if it falls it won’t hurt my little girl. You have to be careful though because the strings get tangled together so when you attach it to a pole make sure there is a way of the pole to release (it needs to be able to drop in case the strings tangle around you when you walk through it - only happened twice in the whole six months that we used it this year).

Purchased to stop flies and wasps coming into kitchen whilst patio door open. This product works but you need about 6 packets to cover 1 patio door (see pic, I got 3 in this colour which is actually more like a deep plum and then got 3 packs of lilac with gems by another brand) if you want the coverage I have for both patio doors you'd need about 12 packets. I've threaded mine through an adjustable telescopic heavy duty curtain rod. If you used just one packet you'd have huge gaps between each string).

The first view of this product appears good, a bit disappointed when you have the curtain in place. The quality isn't bad, but once hung the strings seem to clump together forming largish gaps, (see picture) I am not sure if it is static causing it or just bad design. Saying that, it seems to deter the larger flys, although, the smaller insects, such as midges and mosquitos seem to still come through, especially around dusk. Not sure if I would buy another one of this type in the future

It's very lightweight and keeps many of the bugs out, but if the wind 'throws' this around, it can get a bit tangled. My daughter (10) walked through and nearly garroted herself, so the fact it's quite fine, but very strong, is good and bad.For the price, it suits my needs, and looks great compared with some other products I've seen out there.(It's no where near as 'tacky' as some I've seen).I will be getting (or making) some tie backs for when it's not needed.

For 15 years my conservatory has been a graveyard for flies, bees, wasps, dragon flies, butterflies - you name it if it could fly it came in, and nothing seemed to stop this until I bought these.Since putting them up I've only had the odd fly come in. I did think the gaps may be big enough for them to get through but the constant movement seems to ward them off.Great Product - thank you Hsylym !!!

These were purchased from Amazon warehouse. I thought that as a screen was quite a cheap alternative. I would be very dubious as to fitting in a doorway on account that the strings tangle easily and could be a hazard for children or pets. It was quite adequate as a non walk through screen and looked the part. There are no fixings supplied and needs a pole of some sort. I just used a plastic strip.

Super cute and summery. I just slid it onto the curtain rod we use during the winter, so no drama installing it and it stopped the less determined bugs from getting in. My cat kind of ignores it and after a busy summer of people walking through it its still going strong. It's much prettier than a fly screen in my opinion, and it is better than nothing for keeping flying bugs out!

PerfectLovely silver grey and bought to replace previous ones. These are silky in texture so you can walk through without the strings sticking to you.Fits the door perfectly, however, I ordered 2, as this gives a better look and keeps any flying creatures out.My furboy walks through them just fine so no worries with pets.Excellent quality and value for money:0)

Bought for patio doors so a terrier could walk through it, whilst still screening and keeping flying bugs at bay. It works as a screen, not many bugs to test it on this time of year. Far less dangerous than the JML net contraption it replaced that the dog got caught up in twice. A handful of the strings were two strings tied together but nothing you'd notice really.

We bought these to put around our patio door to stop the flies coming in. They’re ok but they do stick together quite a bit at the bottom and so you get sort of clumps of strings which defeats the point a bit. They’re the right length and size though and we’re very reasonable price. Still using them, I just have to keep combing them through so they don’t stick

Good value for installing in kitchen garden door reduced fly entry to nil .Second purchase for friend as I had bought before and she admired it. Only criticism is that there was a small difference in its production at the curtain head which made a couple of larger gaps in the strings. Yet to see if this has any effect on stopping fly and insect entry

Would not recommend. Not sure how this cleared UK safety standards. The strings tend to intertwine and stay tangled. Wrapped around my neck, when walking through into garden, and tightened. In my opinion this product is dangerous and particularly to children who may be running in and out. I have taken it down for safety reasons and wasted my money.
