I purchased some curtains from Argos a few weeks before I got these from Amazon, and there really is no comparison. The curtains from Argos do not feel as good when it comes to quality of material, do not look as good, and let a ton of light through, which is problematic when trying to get a lay in during the weekend.I have had these for over a year now and there is literally no damage at all, no tears, no loose stitching, they look like they'll last a very long time. Putting them up was easy, you simply run the curtain pole through the metallic hoops and you're good to go.Overall, I think these are the best curtains you'll find on Amazon for the price.

Had normal dark grey curtains before that let quite a lot of light through. Decided to upgrade to these black out curtains in black to help assure the light stays out. My window is unfortunately right by a street lamp, and with these curtains you don't even notice it. My room used to seem like is was daytime 24/7 between the sun and street lamp. But now I actually get to enjoy a bit of darkness at night!When there is direct sunlight on them, they are no better than normal curtains are at night. But when it's nighttime the reign supreme!I bet two layers of these curtains in black would assure a perfect black out all day and all night (minus of course the right above the curtain rod where sunlight

I bought a pair of these for my baby’s room & a grey pair for my own room. I wasn’t sure what the quality would be like as curtains are usually a lot more expensive. However, I am very happy with both pairs. They block out most of the light, even during the day & prevent the baby’s room from overheating in the mid afternoon sun. The only slight issue is a manufacturing fault with the baby’s pair as the appears to be a thin line through one panel of the curtain which isn’t the same thickness as the rest of the curtain. However this is only noticeable when the curtains are closed and daylight shines shines on it, making it visible. Overall,

These curtains are absolutely fantastic, regardless of value for money. I have a room that gets direct sunlight in the morning so really notice the difference. Even when sun should be streaing through the window, my room remains dark enough for it to easily be mistaken for light time. The material is high quality, they are thick and have some weight to them which I guess is what makes them so incredibly effective at blocking out light. Measured correctly before purchase, they hang nicely over the french doors I bought them to cover with a tiny gap at the ground, but not a lot of light gets through here. The colour is even and they're actually kind of soft to touch. Really recommend.

you get what you pay pretty much! these curtains are stunning in colour and feel really nice. they block out the street light from our window and help keep some heat in as we have old windows that aren’t great, my only concern is that - we bought them because we thought they would be great for thermal use and are mostly subpar in that area, I almost wish they were doubled up as I feel it would help keep more heat in - if thermal reslly is your major concern i would perhaps look another direction or decide depending on your windows themselves and what cold you can feel come through but as dark curtains they do keep the light out and look great - came quick too!

OK, mixed views on these curtains. The material is lovely and soft, excellent quality. The rings are all fine. Really like the curtains. Now, they may have been described in a misleading manner. I bought them believing they would be blackout, as on the descriptions and the photos the word 'blackout' is frequently written. In actual fact, they reduce the darkness, they are not blackout. I got the whiteish-grey ones, maybe a darker colour has more blackout properties.If you are looking for the room to be dark and blackout during the daylight, these are not for you. If you don't mind it being a greyish light colour then these are brilliant curtains.

Getting straight to the point which is what folks on here need and these curtains are a shock purchase. That's to say when the blurb that comes within an advert, empty or well over exaggerated promises that never turn out to be what you wanted or expected to buy.These actually are good, no really!Our tv in on the wall between two large windows and patio doors yet when these are drawn you can see what your watching not a reflection which is what we had before with our so call lined curtains.These are lightweight which initially put me off as the two pairs weighed less than a single pair of their predecessors.I'd happily recommend these.

After being quoted £380 for a set of made to measure curtains I decided to go for a budget alternative. The 66x90 curtains fitted my large window perfectly and I was surprised by the quality. After reading some reviews that the blackout was not blackout at all and the curtains being not straight, I was a little concerned but I am pleased to report this was not the case at all. The blackout works incredibly well, blocking out all of the light, even on the brightest of days. The material is high quality and feel like much more expensive curtains than they actually are.Couldnt reccomend these curtains high enough!

Wouldve given these curtains a 5 star if I hadn't had a issue with the size , it says 46 inch in width but mine certainly are not both are 45 inch leaving me a gap in the curtains and with a baby that is not ideal so unfortunately although I love the curtains and colour but unfortunately no good , so now I have to see if they got the next size up or find some elsewhere , cant be bothered to send them back with all the issues with covid right now...Update , so the next size curtains arrived much better , shame I wasted money on the first pair but at least my mother can make use of them in her room .

These work great. I bought these for my bedroom because the curtains I had were very thin and a neighbour's security light kept shinning into my room lighting up my entire bedroom. I got the greyish white curtains and they stopped the light very well. My room isn't in total darkness as it does allow a bit of daylight through. If you are looking for total blackout you need to get the darkest colour you can (it does recommend this) it won't really block out the sun on it's own it would probably need blackout blinds as well but for me the curtains worked fine. I am even getting some for the living room.

I bought these for my daughters room as they were advertised as blackout but they're not; they're decent enough curtains and block out a reasonable amount of light but I have to use a roller blind as well to get the room in proper darkness. Even at that they don't completely block out the light from around the edges of the blind.The curtains themselves are nice fabric, they just needed to be ironed and then hung very well. I've had them for nearly 2 years now and they still look well, quite smart and not cheap, even though they were inexpensive.Overall they're good curtains, just not blackout.

These curtains actually enhance your vocabulary. I started swearing more than ever because of them. During the night it's sooooo dark I can't even grasp how on earth I haven't needed a cast for my pinkie toes yet, however am expecting it to happen soon enough.They also give you static electricity superpowers if handled too much - so your bed hair might become 10x worse than usual and your SO might not want to cuddle you for a few seconds when you get in bed, but really thick material so definite black-out quality.Would definitely order again and am absolutely recommending them. 10/10

LOVE IT!! I was really worried when I starting to read the comments about those but I literally don’t see what’s wrong with people. I am from France and live now in the UK, as we know they don’t have shutters at the windows so I NEEDED some blackout curtains, as a dark room is important for me.They do the job PERFECTLY! It’s not perfect some of as the light is passing through the top and sides of it but that’s absolutely normal!! If you want blackout curtains go for a dark color otherwise it won’t be (obviously). The darker you go the better, I took grey.

Really lovely curtains. They hang beautifully. I would have given them 5 stars but the colour isn't quite true to the photograph shown, the Turquoise is slightly lighter, also, one curtain is slightly shorter than the other, but only by about 6mm so it isn't too obvious.The curtains were for a bedroom, so these two issues were not a big deal for me.The Blackout feature works, although as you would expect the light peeps through the top very slightly due to the curtain rail having to protrude away from the wall.The price and the quality is really good.

I’m a new homeowner and I have to admit, I didn’t realise curtains were quite as expensive as they are. Not able to fork out £400 a pop for 10+ windows, I went for these. They certainly do the job. They are not quite as blackout as they claim, but they make the room just dark enough during the day if you fancy a movie marathon or a nap. The materials not as nice as more expensive curtains but for the price they are pretty damn good and definitely bring the room together. Would buy again - who needs £400 curtains anyway?!
