I thought I would wait a couple of months before reviewing it, ive had it 4 months now and it is a nice cooker, the oven inside is large, the grill is a nice size too, no problems with it, i will say the glass lid seems a bit thin and flimsy compared with my last cooker. The only problem i have found is the hob does stain very easily and is really difficult to get burnt on food off it, when a pan over boils or fat splatters off the frying pan it does stain a lot and i cant seem to get it all off no matter what cleaning products i have tried, The only thing i havent tried is brillo pads as i dont want to scratch the hob but it may be the only way to get it off,

The Hotpoint Newstyle cooker replaced my aging one of 16 years. This cooker is easy to use and clean. The top oven is a boon for cooking small quantities and is also a great a grill toasting evenly (something my toaster couldn't do) and quickly. The main oven over Christmas was fantastic the chicken and roasties cooked to perfection unlike the old one! The top oven/grill states it has 'stay clean' linings mine does not. The main oven does (whoopee) less cleaning. The hob with the glass cover - not to be used as a work surface - has well placed gas rings so pots and pans sit neatly with no rocking. I'm getting older with arthritis,

I am quite pertuculiar with certain household items and cookers are one of them. Looks, cooking, ease of cleaning are very important.Looks and style.I like the look of this hotpoint cooker. The glass top glide open and close with ease although slightly dispointed that the glass lid as it is transparent. The gas ring stands have some sharp bits, but i like the fact they are separate for each ring (easier to clean) The shelves were rammed akwardly (I'll assume for transport) and had scratched the insides of cooker. Cooking is a lot quicker than my last one and cooks very even. The hobbs are fast cooking too.

Good size looks nice haven't used it yet as kitchen has been knocked out! Looks nice tho only thing that i couldn't see on picture is the chrome stop which supports glass to cooker expected it to be black to match rest of cooker. Hot point called me day after order to make sure I ordered the correct one and checked specs with me good customer service. Delivered on day I wanted within a two hour time slot . Good deliver excellent driver who put cooker where I asked and with a smile. Would definitely recommend so far but I am yet to cook in it!!!

Product great BUT installation unbelievable it took 2 installers to install 1 cooker the first 1 disconnected cooker (leaving pilot light out & no hot water) waited ages for a second installer said couldn't light boiler pilot light as the spark igniter was not working so left us with no heating. Before second installer arrival one pulled out of job I got a call saying they would come back in 4 days time, this was unacceptable then after stern phone call someone came & behold it was the first 1.

I gave a 4 star rating because the cooker is obviously lower in quality than the more upmarket cookers which would warrant a 5 star rating. However, I am very happy with this cooker. It performs well and it coordinates well in the kitchen with my Hotpoint washing machine. The only negative aspect for me is the level of the grill - it is not as convenient as the eye-level grill on my old cooker, but I knew this before I bought it, and it is the style of cooker that is prevalent nowadays anyway.

Looks sturdy and well made, don't like the fact that you have to ignite it, it doesn't come on just by turning the knob . I like the fact that it has two large burners and 2 medium, unlike most which have a small milk pan riing, the oven capacity is also quite good, another point is, it looks like you have to unscrew the oven glass to clean it, which isn't very good if you have a spillage in the gap between glasses. also on the top oven the shelf positions aren't very clear ie which is 1 2 & 3

Although ticks nearly all the boxes I think there is one or two things could be improved on labelling control knobs would be better on the top so you need not bend down to see , two the pan stands although are easy to clean unfortunately they vibrate when the grill fan is working ,I am finding it a bit difficult to do the toast as the radiant plates above the flames doesn't seem to glow one edge is toasted more than the otherAnd I love my toast by gas other than that well done Hotpoint .

This Hotpoint cooker exceeded my expectations, it as all the key features of some of the more expensive brand cookers on the market today, highly recommended. All for a fraction of the cost for a student like myself who is on a tight budget, I was more than happy with my purchase... not to mention the delivery (inc.removal) and connection guys where very proffesional and kind. All this was executedl within in a few hours, this made the service second to none.Thank you Argos :))

I am really pleased with this cooker great size easy to clean love the glass lid and the timer .I have cooked quite a few things eg pies pizza Chicken and everything has been good and ready in the right times unlike my other cooker that always seem to burn the bottoms of things and not cook the tops. Also it's great having two ovens especially when grandchildren come for tea .I haven't used the grill yet so can't comment on that but Overall I am very happy with this choice.

Bought to replace a dual-fuel oven. Very pleased so far. Description is wrong, though - it does NOT come with a roasting tray, just a grill pan. Also there is no automated on/off timer/programmer - just a minute/seconds timer (with a quiet beep) and a clock, which was disappointing and not at all clear from the description or the instruction book. I agree with other reviewers about the words being hard to read under the control knobs. Installation was efficient and thorough.

I've given this 5-stars, but for me it has only one small fault.The ignition button is placed between 2 knobs at the left of the panel. It would have been better not bering sited between two knobs, but having its own space.Other than that small 'fault' I have found it lovely to use, easy to keep clean. Talking of keeping it clean, the top tray has a ridge down the middle, so that if there is a spillage, the spill is contained in one half of the tray.

I bought this cooker as it was an upgrade from my old one which ive had over 8 years.Its taking me a while to get used to the safety feature when lighting as my other oven lit automatically but its not a big deal..on the plus side being the same size cooker the shelves from my old cooker fit in so can have 4 shelves in if needed so dont have to buy more.on the whole good cooker good price hotpoint good brand all my kitchen appliances are hotpoint

I was looking to renew my old hotpoint cooker and this one was almost the same. Like the double oven and the lid. The delivery was good although I was lucky that the new one turned up while the men were still here disconnecting the old one otherwise it's 3 different appointments. Will be more careful cleaning this one as all the writing came off my last one. This is all gas as a lot of them now are dual fuel. Would recommend.

i bought this a couple of weeks ago as we really wanted a gas cooker.we have had an electric cooker for years it was a fine cooker with a fan oven and its the oven in this new cooker that i take issue with.now its either me who was spoiled with a fan oven or the oven could be its achilles heel-it takes an age compared to the fan oven to cook but if you go 2 numbers up from what is suggested then its not too bad.
