I am so happy with these suitcases. These are sturdy and well built, with solid components to them.The luggage set looks great and exactly like the pictures online. These actually were a lot bigger than I was thinking they would be!This 3 piece extra strong luggage set is top of the line quality. The luggage set looks luxurious from the outside and inside and I was impressed right away. The luggage is really designed to make packing and traveling easier with several features I found convenient.Now I want to go over the structure of the bags since all three are the same ( minus size) this description applies to all of them. The bags have a hard outter shell that I feel protects my items in the suitcase better.The bags have a nice quality zipper that glides smoothly and doesnt snag or catch. as it goes. The bags have two handles one if metal and telescopic so you can pull it out to make transporting the luggage easier. The bags each have wheels so with the handle you can pull the bags along with you, that way you dont need to lift them too often. The wheels glide easily in any direction and I have not had any problem pulling the bags. Inside the bags are impressively roomy with deviders in place on eash side to help keep belongings in place and not sliding around. This also creates more space. I can easily put enough clothes for 2 adults for 5 days in the medium suitcase. One side has an elastic holder and the other sort of a divider pocket. Another neat feature on these bags is the outside does have a combination lock. While this is not approved for airport security its still a nice option to have while traveling and protecting your belongings.When I am not traveling or using the bags I love that they all stack into each other, makes for easy storage. My husband travels a lot for business and I love that this set looks so professional and classy for him. These bags are amazing and will be put to good use this year as we have alot of family trips planned. I would definetly recommend this luggage set and I honestly believe its one of the nicest sets I have found quality wise.I love the nice green color, super pretty in person, it isn't overtly bright. It is super easy to spot in the luggage line up after the plane lands!

These are absolutely fabulous suitcases. I bought a bright blue one two summers ago as I planning on visiting family in Canada in the September of 2014.During that time, I hired a car and took my mum to several places in the Ontario province including Niagara Falls to go wine tasting and Toronto for shopping, a dinner cruise on Lake Ontario and an evening of Cirque du Soliel! This bag was perfect for me as it is so light, yet so strong! Also, as a moderately physically disabled person, I found the wheels wonderful. I was able to effortlessly maneuver this case and had no problems whatsoever. It really was the perfect bag for me.Since that time, I have moved during the school year to work at a British International School in Spain,so this was the perfect robust bag that would withstand 4-5 return trips every year to and from the UK. This bag definitely lives up to the strength that is purported by the company. Yes sure, you get a few of the black marks from being handled and being forced along the black belts. But if you are seriously worried about that, you can clean them down and they still look fabulous.To be honest, I haven't bothered cleaning the outside of the bag - I can still spot it a mile away! There is no one else that has a bag like mine. Everyone else's is black, grey and boring!Well a few months ago they had the champagne coloured back on Amazon's Deal of the Day for well below what I paid for my blue one. I just made a decision and said YES. This September, my son will be joining me to do his IGCSE's at my school in Spain, so now he also has a lovely robust bag that we can bring to and fro for several years to come!I would definitely recommend this product for the frequent flyer!Please let me know if my review has been helpful. I wanted a case that would stand out from the crowd and this certainly does! It has a lightweight hard shell that does flex quite a bit but having said that when it is shut and with contents inside it becomes pretty sturdy. I already have a Samsonite case myself which cost 3 times the price, however I now prefer this as it is so much lighter. The only issue is that it comes only with German instructions for setting the combination lock, however you can find an English translation on the web. It is easy to set once you find the instructions! There is what looks like a key lock but the suitcase does not come with a key so don't worry if you can't find anything - I think it must be something todo with the ability for the customs to be able to open it without breaking the combination lock itself!I haven't expanded the case to its full extent yet as I have not needed to. I easily fitted in all my 3 year old's clothes and toys!It did get some black marks on the case but these came off fairly easily - I used a car polish and it came up a treat! There was a small scuff down one edge but this is hardy noticeable and scuffs are to be expected. I definitely recommend the case for this price and in fact I have just this minute ordered another one in Applegreen this time for my wife, as she loved it that much!Lastly I have to mention the supplier as I stupidly left ordering this case until just 5 days before our holiday. The supplier is based in Germany. I sent them an email and they responded (in German)to say that they would get the case out that day. It promptly arrive 2 days later. Fantastic service. That's why I have ordered another one through them.

So I had purchased this luggage set in 8/2017. It hadn't been used until 1/2019 and 3/2019. During a cruise in 3/2019-4/2019 (got back a couple weeks ago), I noticed that the stitching for the plastic clip which secures the "flap" over half of the largest suitcase was becoming torn and then it failed the next day. Not what you want to have happen at anytime, but especially not after two uses which were not abusive or inappropriate; just normal packing.When we got home, I reached out to the seller to see if we could be covered under a warranty or something, while also keeping in mind that the original purchase was in 8/2017. The seller was great and after some correspondence, they sent us a new,full set of the same suitcase for free and allowed us to keep the set we had. Very impressed with their customer service and despite what I believe may be a language barrier to an extent, was very professional and helpful with the entire situation.As for the product itself, I couldn't give a full 5 stars due to the failure mentioned above. However, if you're looking for a reasonably priced set of luggage, aren't too hard on it with frequent travel, then I think you could do a lot worse than this option. The luggage itself is relatively lightweight, the wheels work well, and the TSA lock is a nice feature.So I would give the product a 4/5 and the seller a 6/5 for being so excellent.

I bought one of these for my girlfriend who is Cabin Crew for a major international airline, so you can imagine it has had serious use. In reply to one of the negative reviews on here you get what you pay for, if you expect lifetime guarantees or warrantys you have to pay for them. 5-8 x the price of this case will get you that. The expandable function allows for short trips and a bit of shopping to bring home, the lock stopped working after a year but we just bought a TSA padlock, the handle got damaged by the baggage handlers, this can not be blamed in any way on the manufacturer, and customer service asked for pictures and could not have been more helpful. This was after 2 years of regular heavy use.Overall it is incredible value for money and has served her well. It is continuing to do so. I can not recommend this company highly enough despite some petty niggles with the case. Finally before I write this last bit, please know I have no connection with the company other than being a customer/user., were they to increase the quality of the components like wheels, locks or handles etc, and not by much really, this would rival Tumi, Samsonite and Briggs and Riley. It's an economy product but well supported and has served us so well. I will definately buy from them again.

This is simply a wonderful set of luggage. Both my wife and I enjoy its unique appearance, as well as its structural durability. The luggage really seems to stand out in the airport...we traveled to Germany with it and it was excellent. We also really love its locking mechanism; it is really easy to work, yet provides a wonderful reassurance your stuff is locked up. The luggage easily glides around on the four rotating wheels on each piece. The adjustable handles are easy to use and solid. The shell of this luggage really is solid and sturdy.However, somehow a wheel broke off the smallest piece of luggage during airport handling. Although this was a bit annoying,the Hauptstadtkoffer Company was very easy to communicate with and promptly helped us by providing not only one, but four new wheels. And not only did they provide four new wheels for the smallest piece of luggage, but they also included four new wheels for the larger pieces of luggage! Now we have plenty of replacement wheels for our luggage set!My wife and I are very eager to continue to use this luggage for our future trips! The color choices for this luggage are superb and make it way more fun and easier to find in the baggage claims.

Order arrived just four days after I'd ordered. At JFK airport New York it took so long to get through immigration and customs to the baggage pickup that all cases has been placed on the floor nearby. I saw my big orange case a good 30 yards away! Getting to midtown Manhattan by subway was no problem for the case, although stairs at the end meant I had to resort to lifting the case. Having four wheels was very useful especially when quick manoeuvrability was needed on the subway and at lifts. On the way home, the case was easily identifiable on the conveyor belts at Heathrow and Aberdeen. Yes a few scuff marks and bashes but white spirit removes the black scuffs and the bashes are barely visible.The TSA combination was very useful on several occasions when I needed to get into my case in public. No fumbling about with keys and padlocks, and setting the combination was straightforward. The handle was easily extendable to two different lengths and was solid during transit. I have yet to use the two smaller cases but if they are anything like their big relative I can see no reason to give anything less than five stars. P.S. each case fits into the other for easy storage too.

The cases arrived from Germany 6 days after being ordered ideal, I had to contact the firm as the first delivery date was some 20 days however on contacting them via email the answer was both quick and helpful I found them polite and efficient and very easy to deal with. When the cases arrived they are ideal for our need, 4 wheels, separation panels inside and they expand if required. They fit nicely inside one another for easy storage. The instructions are however in German (Babelfish to the rescue as our German linguistic skills were not technical enough). We spent some time trying to find a key to set the lock ... be warned, there isn’t one. The trick is to look under the lock use a pen in the small hole you will find there.Set your code then click the lever this then sets you 3 digit number code. We never did find out what the key slot was for or indeed find the key. Overall very pleased with both the service and the product. Finally being bright canary yellow the cases should be easy to spot on the airport luggage lounge.

I bought this set of three hard shell suitcases to take on a cruise, just completed a couple of days ago. What quality and value at only £141 and some pennies, everything worked as it should with German efficiency as this is where they came from. The company that sells them impressed me as much as the cases. After ordering them I noticed that the furthest delivery date was after my departure date, so I emailed them on a Saturday had a reply the same day ensuring me they would be in the post first thing Monday morning and would be with me in 5 days, they arrived in under 3. On opening the cardboard box the big case was wrapped in a plastic bag after extracting the case from this I was impressed to see that the case was covered entirely in its own protective plastic film,this film is also on the medium and small suitcases, which by the way store inside each other, most impressive to see such care being taken. I will go back to this company in the future for my next suitcases.

I am thinking of purchasing this case. One review said the shell is thin plastic. I have just returned from the Carribbean and used a suitcase for the first time and it came off the belt all cracked and broken. The same thing happened on the way back to U.K. I loved this case. Beautiful color for a Lady. Sturdy and good mover. The suitcase still had the original labels on the case stating it was made of strong durable material.The Claims at B.A. said that this case did not hold up to the cold temperatures and this is why it cracked in four places. The large case had a minor crack but can still be used for storage. I have to replace my both suitcases. The claim will only pay for one suitcase.So be aware of this when claiming. Also be aware of the cold temperatures and will this type of case crack.? Hard decision to make.

Like most German products, the suitcase is strong and seems resistant. Furthermore, the colour is super cool and the overall look and details are great. Definitely worth the money.If you have the storage space for all 3 sizes then I would recommend to take advantage of the fantastic bargain of buying all 3 sizes for £139.00. Unfortunately, due to lack of storage I could not take advantage of the offer and ended up spending almost as much just for 2 suitcases.They arrived only 3 days after placing the order; much, much earlier than expected. The suitcase is pretty spacious and expandable; a massive plus feature, for those like me, who always buy far too many souvenirs during their trips.Though I have not tested it on a trip yet so far I am pretty impressed.

I bought this suitcase thinking it was German made, when it arrived and had "made in China" on the packagingI e-mailed the seller to find out why. The reply was "made in China" to our German specs.I almost sent it back, I am glad I didn't, A great medium sized suitcase, that runs very smoothly on four wheels with no effort at all. I packed it fully when I recently went to France. It weighed in at 17Kgm ( without the expandable zip in use) No doubt you could get a lot more in.The built in combination lock is a good idea.An outstanding case, you will have no problem spotting it at the baggage pick up point.Its a dream to push, but I wouldn't use it on uneven surfaces,it might damage the wheels.Overall a great looking case that runs like a dream.

I'm not normally one for leaving reviews, but I think the excellent customer service I've recently had from the manufacturer of this suitcase deserves praise.I have had this suitcase for just under two years and it has performed impeccably until about a fortnight ago when the black plastic top of the telescopic handle broke. I contacted the manufacturer as the suitcase has a warranty and they immediately dispatched a new complete telescopic handle on express delivery which arrived a couple of days later. No fuss, no drama, just a swift fix.Ten minutes to undo six screws, remove old handle and replace with new one and my suitcase is as good as new again. Very, very pleased customer.If only everything was so easy!

Ordered yellow three piece suitcase . Before the delivery date Haupstadtkoffer contacted me from Germany saying there is a delay in this order, due to low stock etc. They were very polite and apologetic . Some Uk company customer services could learn a great deal from this company in how they treat customers !! I was given the choice of other colours available and choose the red version. I'm glad I did ! These suitcases are excellent! Amazon yet again have been brilliant . Excellent communication from start to finish . Don't hesitate to buy these . Brilliant value for money , well built and great looking suitcases. Thank you again Haupstadtkoffer and Amazon . I'm very happy !

This arrived in time for a trip, used the two larger pieces and soooo happy! I really like the TSA lock, it is perfect. Packing was a breeze and everything stayed in place with the help of the interior straps and flap. The wheels on this make walking with he luggage a dream. The handles are designed to come up to the same level - so the small piece has a handle that extends longer than the large piece, that way they are on the same level when walking two pieces of luggage...so nice, well thought out. I got the red, and it is a deep bright red, easy to spot on the luggage return. Best part, all three nest when not in use, so only takes up the foot print of the large piece.
