Well it does what it says on the tin, fast performing system RAM that looks the part and syncs great (for most the part) with your system. With RAM price's being as expensive as they are at this time, these sticks do command a premium, though for the price hike, you do get a real nice set of RAM that does what its says.In terms of Packaging and construction, the RAM comes in a pretty typical box and the sticks are held in a plastic clamshell, does what is expect. The stick's themselves are pretty hefty in weight and do feel of a real nice quality. The sticks themselves looked sleek with the lights off thanks to the metal finish, which is actually a different tone on either side of the stick with one side being the darker color shown in most images and the other side being slightly lighter in nature. Up top is the diffusing acrylic for the lighting of course. Now the RAM itself overclock's fine by using XMP. Do note, this partly depends on your platform, my X299 System and z370 platform has no issues. My older X99 Rig does not manage 3600 MHz that I picked easily and neither does Ryzen, but obviously consult your boards QVL list. Now in term of overclocking, I like to tinker and with 3600 MHz 16-16-16-36 these sticks come with, I managed to run the sticks at 3866 MHz with the 8700k @ 16-16-16-36 without touching voltages. Notching up voltages to 1.38v means I could actually run these sticks at 4133 MHz 18-18-18-38 stable in Aida 64 memory test and mem test. Now your milage will vary, but nice to see there is some headroom in this kit at least. In terms of lighting, it does what it says and looks very pretty doing so. Now for me my motherboard z370i did not read the sticks out the box. I had to tinker with it unfortunately in the BIOS enabling SPD read and also disabling then enabling RGB again from BIOS level and then reinstall AURA to get the sticks to detect. Fortunately I have encountered this issue before, so was an easy fix for me, so in the event you do have any issues, do look around.Anyways, in all, this kit does what is expected, looks great while doing so and can be overclocked. Price wise they are expensive, but with RAM price's as they are, it is what it is sadly.

I'm sure if you're looking at this memory you're doing so because of the RGB because there is certainly more affordable memory available without the RGB effect with the same memory chips at the same frequencies and latencies as these. As RAM these sticks are great, they work at the stated frequencies and are very well constructed. The RGB effect is great but it's let down a little by the limited Aura Sync software that G-Skill expects you to use with the memory. I don't have any issue with the hardware but the software could be a lot better. If you're going for a themed build keep in mind that the diffusers used for the RGB here are white and some colours do look more white than they should especially in a very well lit case. But overall the colour is quite good and I found all the colours to show very accurately that is to say blue looks blue, red looks red and so forth. Each RAM stick does have an internal thermal sensor which you can read with software like HWInfo. In my system the sticks stay around 43c which I'd say is pretty great. The 3600MHz sticks I purchased will happily run at 4000MHz so there is some headroom for overclocking if you wanted to do that.Overall a great RAM kit and I would buy from G.Skill again with confidence.

***** DO NOT USE TRIDENT RGB SOFTWARE OR ASUS AURO SOFTWARE TO TRY AND CHANGE THE RAM LIGHTING ON RYZEN AS IT WILL CORRUPT THE RAM - just leave the ram sticks as normal and they will work perfectly fine ****Purchased the G.Skill F4-3200C14D-16GTZR for my AX370 K7 AM4 motherboard. I knew I would have a few compatibility issues. They look absolutely stunning and they feel (as they should) absolutely premium. I have the memory at 2933mhz due to said compatibility issues and you cannot use the G.Skill RGB software as it may lead to the RAM sticks not functioning (waiting for updates to be able to utilise the RGB)At this moment in time if you are looking to buy these for a Ryzen set then please do consult the QVL to see which ones are compatible, there are a few trident z sticks such as the 2400mhz (again consult QVL) however I'd rather purchase the 3200 and wait for updates so I can fully utilise them than go for 2400mhz and waste the potential of Ryzen as it is does rely on RAM- Update -Finally updated the Gigabyte Ax370 K7 to the latest bios (f4 at time of writing) and have the ram running at 3200mhz. However I have read that the G.Skill RGB software should still not be used as causing ram sticks to crash/killing the rgb.

I bought this RAM for an Aura Sync based desktop build which I was making for myself. I thought, for an extra £10 over an equivalent brand you get the same performance, but it looks so much nicer!Upon opening you’ll find two nicely packaged DIMMs ready to go. Plug in, and box it works. I use an Asus motherboard, so the lighting synchronised instantly, no need for any additional downloads – just Asus Aura sync. They look fantastic, you can even configure them to wave the light across each DIMM which looks spectacular. The light synchronisation is perfect with no delays or dodgy colours. The performance of the RAM is great, it’s very fast, mine was 3000MHz which is more than enough performance for a consumer or enthusiast desktop.Any faster and it’s a waste. The material choice is good, with brushed metal for the sides, and a pearled plastic for the RGB section. The DIMMs fit snugly into the RAM slot easily so no issues there!I’m happy with this product. Build quality, styling, and performance are all perfected, making this a very well thought out and impressive product.***If you found my review helpful please don’t forget to mark is as helpful below, thanks!***

I purchased this RAM after several months of trying to find the 3200MHz version in the U.K. I don’t know why it’s so hard to find it, but this 3000MHz version was always available on Amazon. The product itself arrived several days before it was due, which I was very happy with, and the packaging was great and easy to open - I alway keep my packaging incase I plan to resell later on, and the packaging is perfect for that.I replaced my previous 3200MHz RAM with the Trident Z and I can safely say I have noticed no performance changes between the two. This RAM is very quick, and (for me) most importantly, absolutely beautiful. I installed it with no problems at all, and the installation of the software was very easy too.The software is very innovative, I’ve programmed my personal RGB sequence in the software to match the rest of my RGB’s in my PC.The RAM sticks themselves feel very sturdy in comparison to most other brands I have used, and I was so happy with it that I purchased another two sticks to complete my build.I would recommend this product to any PC enthusiast.

Super fast RAM that looks amazing. Been running at 3200 without issue since installation a few weeks ago. RGB doesn't play well with a Gigabyte motherboard but I think that's a Gigabyte issue. Only 4 stars due to the ridiculous price of RAM right now. But if you're reading this when prices have started to drop, consider it a 5 star product. One point to note...these (along with any other tall modules) can be problematic if you're using a NZXT Kraken X62 and want to populate all 4 RAM slots. The X62's tubes stick out the right hand side too much and overlap into DIMM4, making that slot pretty redundant. This is obviously dependent upon your motherboard but worth checking.I went for the Corsair H115i instead and have all 4 slots available to use.

Solid feel and heavier than I expected but not a problem !Download the GSkill Trident Ram Software to change the RGB lighting which is on always when plugged into mains subject to M/BOn my Gig Z270X-Gaming 9 even when the PC is turned off the RAM lights stayed on . . . No others just the RAM lights !Downloaded GSkill software and installed after all Gigabyte M/B software installed and finally turned it off !Since then it has since turned itself back on so I downloaded it again and turned it OFF !Expecting to need to do it again at sometime in the future ! Why not Default it to OFF and download to turn it on and to change lighting effects to your own design !

I mean it's ram, easiest thing to install. However this is not Samsung b die so don't expect tighter timings keeping on 3600mhz. The XMP profile is ok but very loose. I would recommend finding a samsung die if you want faster timings. One of the more difficult to manual time sticks I have had.Timings don't make a huge difference so purely off XMP these things do the job and will be just whats needed for star citizen. They are beautiful sticks and run perfectly fine and cope with anything that's thrown at them. I am usinbg a 3900x and a 2070 super with theses on an X570 master so they have all the support they need to get me till upgrade time.

Using the 3600 c16 16gb kit (2x8gb) with the Ryzen 2700x and ASUS prime pro x470 motherboard. Worked almost straight from the box. You just need to make sure and read your motherboard manual to see which slots they recommend filling first. I naturally selected the dual channel pair nearest the CPU but then couldn’t get the sticks to run at 3600. I then moved them into the recommended slots as per ASUS manual and they picked up as 3600 straight away. Also the RGBs are a nice touch. The LEDs are enclosed behind opal plastic which helps disperse light and ensure they aren’t too bright.

G.SKILL Trident 3600MHz RGB DDR4 ram.If you're aiming for a showcase build and want to impress, then this is the ram you need. The build quality is superb and the RGB elements are beautiful. The RGB elements run the entire length, visable from the top and sides. The colour spectrum is pretty much unlimited and it's neon glow adds a futuristic 'Tron' like glow to your system (all of which can be controlled via software)It is very expensive but it's definitely recommend if aesthetics are important to you!Bambi's Revenge (my rig in the photo) looks amazing now lol!???

Good bit of kit, RGBs are stunning! Amazing colour range and also very nice transitions. It also syncs with ASUS AURA so it compliments my Motherboard well. The only issue is I cannot get the RAM to run at the advertised speed. Even with an overclocked 7700k running at 5GHz and on an ASUS Maximus 9 Mobo, the max I can get is 3600MHz. This issue could be caused by another component or the BIOS I guess, but I am still happy with the speeds.I would recommend this product to anyone building a new gaming PC.

Purchased this memory as it’s a well know brand and RGB Lighting brings a bit of life to your PC tower Amazon delivered before estimated time 5 stars for that the memory it’s self took 5 minutes to put in, the standard lighting is a colour cycle, So for those who would like to change colours and have different effects I would recommend ASUS AURA it works a treat and can also change colour by section on this memory so you can have example red, blue, red, blue, red, Faults I can’t find any top memory.

With the Ryzen 3 1200 CPUIt works at 3200MHz with the timings 14-14-14-14-32Any bandwidth (MHz) higher and it wont work. The timings are really tight for the bandwidth mentioned and works perfectly well.I have tested the ram with memtest86.With Gen 1 (Zen not Zen+) Ryzen it only goes to 3200MHz stable. The tightened timings evens out the fact that the clock is lower than the XMP.EDIT:On the Ryzen 3700x I have tested it and can confirm it works at at 3600Mhz 16-16-16-16-36

This ram is absolutely beautiful but it's also performs very well so it's not just looks your paying for. I will definitely be buying another set. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because although the software offers you a variety of options for your rgb lighting I personally found it wasn't as easy to use as other software I have used in the past. Although take that as you will as I'm not always the best at that kind of thing so it might just be me.
