This RAM is awesome. It runs fast, and it looks great.Simple packaging to help save costs.If you are looking to upgrade your machine, or just build a new one, I highly recommend this.You won't be disappointed. I got this RAM up upgrade my system to 16GB(I already owned 8GB of this same RAM), and I liked it so much I came back to buy some more.I got the RAM, on a sunday(because amazon is awesome like that), and as soon as the Delivery guy dropped it off, I had it installed really easy within 10min. I had originally intended to supplement the G-Skills that I already had in my PC with these, bringing the total up to 16GB, only to find out that the original sticks I had were only 8500-1066's. Instead of risking RAM issues I chose to replace my old sticks with these, and so far they're working very well in my PC. If they continue to do so I plan on purchasing another set so I can finally have the original 16GB that I intended to.As far as I can tell these sticks don't emit any more measurable amount of heat than the old ones but time will tell once I add the other 8 on whether I'll need a heatsink/fan for them. As of right now they're running fine for me, so I'd definitely recommend them.

I am not a computer geek by the way but know enough to get by. Anyway enough of that, firstly the ram arrived well packaged and quickly. Once installed it worked straight away without any messing around and there were no compatability problems. As a matter of interest once running I did actually use the motherboard memory check tool to check for compatabilty (Asus). The item was purchased because I suspected problems with previous memory (a different make by the way). System now runs much smoother and appears more responsive. Have not used GSkill Ripjaws ram previously but am so pleased I changed and wish I had installed it in the first place..

... and it looks good, too!! My color scheme is black and red, so this naturally fit it well. I read a lot of reviews (probably too many of them) and this ram lives up to it's name. I do video editing and gaming daily and I have solid performance with no memory errors.The heat spreaders "feel" solid and don't stick up too high. I found this ram mentioned over and over again on various pc building sites and forums, so I was pretty confident before I even made the purchase.Good price, great product, works the way it should... what's not to like? Stop reading and buy it already!... Seriously... do it....

Great RAM, works perfectly. I ran Memtest86+ for over 10 hours and received no errors at all. Without having to fidget with anything in the BIOS the RAM runs at 1600MHz right away (unlike other brands I've dealt with during the DDR3 era). The heatsink is nice, and it isn't too tall (if you're using a Hyper 212 Evo you will have to move your fan up a couple of milimeters from center in order to fit over the heatsink but it will fit and still work fine). I've been running these sticks of RAM for almost a month now without any problems.

I upgraded the 4 GB Ram to 8 GB for video editing purposes on my board. As I had installed G. Skill 4 GB originally when I built my system, I decided to stay with the same memory for the upgrade. The new memory sticks arrived quickly and were well packaged. Easy to install, as you would expect. After an easy install, my system immediately recognized the additional memory and it has been smooth sailing every since. I would buy from this Company again with no second thoughts.

plugged it in, turned on the system, and all my blues screens went away, couldnt be happier, had some corsair that the mother board manufacturer said were approved to work with the board, but 6 months later they started to fail, this was the 2nd set of corsair i had gone through on this build, the G.Skill so far is holding up well, and as i didnt have to set anything in the bios, it all autodetected and worked correctly, think i will stick with them for the future.

I've been using G.Skill RAM for years. Never had a bad stick. Holds up fine with mild overclocking, and the sturdy heat-spreaders make it easy to seat.If you're using a large CPU heatsink like the Evo 212, you may find that if you have two fans in a push-pull configuration, the fan closest to the RAM banks may touch the top of the G.Skill heatsinks in the when normally installed. I just nudged the fan up a bit. Seems fine, but fair warning.

Gskill puts the G in gamer. Love this RAM, I currently use 12GB of this in my custom build. They do get very heated however I haven't had any memory faults/problems. I do a lot of multitasking and so far G-skill has held up. The max memory percentage I have ever seen it go up to is 40% of the 12GB. I edit photos/play games, convert videos etc.. all at once. I would recommend it.

I recently upgraded to a new ASUS motherboard, AMD processor and these memory modules before doing a clean install of Windows 10.I'm not a gamer and didn't have a need for memory that's any faster than these.My primary goal was to have a quiet and cool running computer that would take advantage of all that Win 10 has to offer. These memory modules were an excellent value.

This memory was perfect for the setup I had researched. Installed on a Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3-R5 motherboard in combination with an AMD FX-6300 Black Edition processor. G-Skill is one of the best memory companies out there and they haven't let me down yet.The seller shipped quickly and the item was received a week after. All in all, it was an excellent transaction.

I upgraded my wife's computer with this memory. It is overkill for it but this should keep me from having to upgrade sooner. So far it is working fine with no problems. Just remember to check the speed in BIOS. I have found that both of my Asus motherboards set it to a lower speed. You need to manually change it to 1600MHz. Then check it as it may not stick.

There's of course better and more expensive RAM out there, but at this price point you can't go wrong with G.Skill. I just purchased a new set to go with one that's been running for 3 years now and all works quickly and seamlessly. I'm already planning a new build and will likely go with faster G.Skill RAM.

My husband and I used this in our first computer build ever, and it was very easy to install. I've upgraded my ram previously on my 2006 XP computer, and this was much easier for my husband to push in then I had to before (and he is disabled with not so functional fingers).
