I was particularly looking for a shower made of metal instead of the cheap plastic rubbish I've bought in the past that always falls apart. The Grohe shower is easy to install and seems very solid so far, with a great metal shower rail and metal wall fittings, and a very durable looking hose. Some pieces of the slider are plastic, and the shower head itself is plastic. The head is plastic to avoid scalding or damage from dropping it, which makes good sense, but don't really see why the slider couldn't be all metal at this price. There is a 5 year warranty though so shouldn't have to worry (although strangely there is no mention of the warranty on the box or on any of the paperwork inside the box).

Really great shower, never want to get out every time I'm in there! Mainly use the rain setting but do occasionally change them round. Would recommend for that refreshing shower experience, looks great too.

Really pleased with this replacement shower. Well made, good looking and easy to install. The smooth hose is easy to keep clean and is a generous length.
