Going by some of these reviews it seems like people don't know that if you get a pet inside the ball then you need to WASH IT. The black fuzzy pets that people are posting pictures of is Tough Monkey. You are supposed to wash the fuzz off and then it looks like a normal pet. There's nothing wrong with it and you don't need to put it in the bin! It's like their "disguise" which adds to the fun of the surprises. Even after you take the pet out of the bag you may not know which one it is until you've washed it. It does say this in the instruction leaflet that comes in the ball :)

It's hard to review these as an adult...there is far too much plastic packaging but I have seen a changeover to paper wrappings in some models. However, that said the concept and the toy are pretty cool but a little expensive.These went down very well with my children as they love these things at the moment. They like removing the weird fuzz from the pets. I may bought them because the balls form part of a snowman - we have the base and middle and I didn't even realise there was a head, so I thought I'd better sneak these in too.

Only giving it 4 stars purely because the lack of accessories as always, they are pricey but we all know that and still continue to buy them for our kids because they really love them, packaging is a little better than all the waisted plastic but still, could be improved to be better environmentally. Bought this for the top section to complete the snow man

My eldest has just got into lol and as parent of not knowing on what it was is, I’ve watched you tube videos and for the price of these highly recommend them, especially if you child just starting to understand what they are. She’s only three and she loves them but doesn’t know or understand that you have different series. So this perfect for me. X

Again, these are totally overpriced tat and some seriously questionable outfits but its what she wants. Thankfully picked them up half price to put away for christmas so dulled the pain slightly of having to buy them in the first place.I mean really they are sturdy and will last and the accessories and opening process make it for her

Bought these for my daughter along with lots more LOL items (my house is full of them!)to give her a variety of different LOL dolls, needless to say that she loves them along with the others too..Was lucky to get these whilst on offer which was a massive bonus and meant we could get a couple more to go with her Christmas presents.

My daughter loves lol's and this is better value buying them in a double pack. I must say the winter disco range is lovely-nicer than other lol ranges. And if you buy a lil sister winter disco, a fluffy pet winter disco and a lol winter disco you can stack the globes they come in and make a snowglobe snowman too! That is really cool!

Great value as these were on offer and the best prics i could find. So i bought four. I've seen two opened, both pets. Didnt know you could get the pets in these one as i was gunning for the lil sisters. But both gurls were happy that they got an lol surprise.So a real hit and miss with these as I've know people to get doubles.

Felt a bit like pass the parcel, opened 2 outer layers of plastic to be faced with a plastic outer and a tiny doll inside that, which itself was in another plastic packet, and accessories which were also in a plastic packet! Very small toy inside, limited play I'd say, my child hasn't played with it since opening it last week.

Once out of the box these little dolls are pricey for the bits of plastic you actually get but the play value and how much the child loved these were worth it. Argos had a great deal with two for the price you would pay for one everywhere else so definitely a bargain purchase. I would definitely buy this again

I purchased these whilst they were reduced as they were great value for money. I personally think that they are quite overpriced normally, but my 5 year old is LOL mad. I bought 2 lots of these when they were on offer to keep for future presents and stocking fillers as they were such great value for money.

A great surprise doll that my daughter loves she loves the idea of it being a surprise and can open different layers down side is you don’t know which doll your getting so can’t avoid duplicating ones you’ve already collected. Nice looking dolls and great imagination can be used when playing with them .

My girls are really into LOL dolls and got these as ‘lil sister’ as stocking filler at Christmas, and sadly I wasn’t very impressed as there is not much too them. They are cheaper than most LOL items so this could be part of it... the little dolls are sweet enough but the pet looked a bit cheap sadly.

Ordered two of these for my little girl as they were reduced and couldn't be happier- both of our balls turned out to be rare gold ones!! She got Lil Glamour Queen (ultra rare) and The Kitten (rare).. one very happy 7 year old = money well spent! Arrived promptly and well packaged too! 5*

What can you say about these. Kids love them. My daughter is obsessed and we need to buy these ALL the time. These keep the kids occupied for hours with the cool little figures and dressing them up and popping them into different scenarios. Ah to be young with an amazing imagination. :)
