The Garmin Edge 830 is a super versatile cycling computer. It keeps track of everything about your route and (if you have a heart rate monitor) yours. You can plan a route on the PC based on frequently used routes (heatmap). That's especially nice if you don't have a premium Strava. You can also upload to Strava via your phone. The screens you see can be arranged entirely according to your own ideas. You can adjust a lot yourself, but you have to take the time for that. But it is not necessary, the default settings are already handy and complete. The screen and the route navigation are good to read off and you will get a beep if you have to make a turn.

Very good GPS with a clear overview and great map. Fast connection with mobile phone and sensors. Nice to have the functions "grit" and "flow". The measurement of jumps is also a bonus for mountain biking. The navigation is going well, only spoken guidelines must be done via the mobile phone that is connected to the Edge 830. We are sorry that the Edge itself cannot "say" this.

After a few years of use, I only let Apple Watch with iPhone Komoot take me to Garmin Felix and now to the Edge and I'm thrilled. Navigation, battery performance and reading in top light. Only in the shade is it a bit more difficult and the display is a bit small if you are used to navigating via iPhone. Still a clear recommendation
