I bought a Specialized Turbo Levo Comp in August. Since the bike has no display, I was looking for a suitable display device. Since I've been running with Garmin for years (Vivoactive 3) and Garmin told me that the watch can be used as an HFQ sensor, I ordered the Edge 830 for testing. The coupling with the bike worked wonderfully. Support level and battery charge in percent work great. Likewise, the heart rate via the Vivoactive 3 and the speedometer display. As a navigation device with Komoot, the device cannot be used by me. I still use my cell phone for that. The reason for this is that you cannot change the loaded tracks, but have to change and reload them on the mobile phone. However,

Garmin has always been the trend for the cycling computer brand with toppers like the edge810, 510 or even 800; they were overtaken left and right by parties with cool functions and features. With the 830 the weather is over and over! I decided to upgrade the 810, because of the IQ functions and new Bluetooth standard. And what a great device, I immediately put my "own" open bike folder on it, and all kinds of other useful tools. Super reliable to date and "backlog" is definitely a leading edge in cycling computer country! A winner! And bikster has worked absolutely great to get it to me as soon as possible during Corona and holidays.

Like the ability to both record tracks and sessions as well as using it for navigation. Integrated apps such as Komoot, Strava also work well. Only thing I had hoped was that Apple Watch would support Garmin Connect without the phone. However, that is a Garmin limitation, but rather limitations in Apple Watch

Have used a Garmin 1000 for a few years. The 830 is a big step forward with a number of new opportunities. Spend some time getting into the opportunities that are available and you will get extra cycling pleasure back.

Interesting that it shows the map in real time and when it tells you when to eat / drink, in addition to showing people the sweat you secrete during the tour. Worked great so far.

Replaces an Edge 810 with me. Is something flatter, better display, WLAN ... actually everything. Do what he should.
