I gave these a 4 out of 5 because: the fit is true, the heel size is appropriate and good for the feet, they are comfortable, practical and do not rub. My only concern is that they look quite 'mature' so probably not the best looking shoe for someone under 30 or a fashionista. I would say that I went with practicality (ability to wear all day at work including 15 minute walks to and from the train station) rather than what's in vogue and stylish. I saw these in a leading shoe shop for £25 more so buying on Amazon gave me a great saving. I would say try these on before buying so you're exactly aware of what you are purchasing. I think these will last for years.

A nice well made classic shoe. The sizing is off though, I read the other reviews before buying.. I normally wear a 6 1/2 in a flat shoe & a 7 in a heel. So I ordered a 7 as some said they come up small.The 7 arrived very narrow and too short, so I re-ordered the 7 1/2 which was a good fit, just that bit bigger all round. I think the trick with these is to look at the European size (look at your existing shoes) Garbor 7 is a 40 and a 7 1/2 is a 41. My existing size 7 shoes have 41 on them. I hope that makes sense !

I loved these shoes but they were too narrow, I ordered them without realising that I am a G fit in Gabor shoes which I then discovered by chatting with the John Lewis shoe department assistant. Sadly these shoes are not made in a G fitting and whilst Gabor do have a limited range of G fit shoes (available directly from the Gabor website), they don't make a completely black patent ballet pump which is what I really wanted.

This is my second pair - the last pair were bought about a year ago, now relegated to use for walking to the station in the morning, and the second pair to wear in the office. Great that Gabor do 1/2 sizes. Very smart shoes. Very happy with them.I've now gone on to buy a third pair, but I bought the blue patent - unfortunately the blue, which I thought would be navy, is more like a black so I am sending them back.

Bought for my wife to replace similar bought many years ago from House of Bruar near Perth. Sizing information was excellent and the shoes are well-made and ideal for use when teaching as this involves a lot of walking and standing during the day, both punishing for any shoe and therefore incredibly important that they be a comfortable fit as these are.

Hard to find these in shops now so delighted to find my favourite work shoe available online. This style is smart and the heel is the perfect height for comfort, yet with a bit of class. 4 stars instead of 5 because the patent cracks around the little toe area - even faster if your feet are any wider than normal. (I still keep buying them though!)

From the moment I put them on, these shoes have been very comfortable - no rubbing or pinching. I have worn them casually now at the end of summer, but they will be great into autumn and winter.They are a narrow fit which suits me, which other reviewers had written. And, of course, a fantastic price for Gabor shoes! Thank you.

Bought these stunning, comfy well made shoes half price, if not less! Absolute bargain. Fit like a glove and I would say true to size if not generous. I'm usually 5 or 5.5 and the 5 fit perfectly! Excellent service from amazon as usual and shoes arrived earlier than expected! ALL 4 PAIRS!!! Oooooops. Xx

A wardrobe staple!These are my fourth pair of Assist flats; they're such a handy and comfy shoe and, for me, the best fit of all the Gabor styles I have. The patent helps to make them smart enough to dress up as well as looking good with jeans and ankle grazers. I wear them all year round!

I have been wearing these Gabor Ballet Flats for years, I love them, the colour is perfect to go with all my beiges and browns, but the best thing was the price, I usually pay upwards of £70 but these were the bargain of the century, I am happy happy happy!!!!

I happened to be passing a shoe store in Guildford one day and saw the shoes, it was a bit expensive but thought let me buy it just the same because I liked it and I got hooked I had to get another pair because the shoe is sooo comfortable. Thanks Garbor

Very quick delivery.These are simply the best shoes, I mainly wear them for work.I have several pairs in different colours. I can be on my feet some days for work for over 12 hours and I never get tiered feet.The design is great and look and feel fab.

A pretty style shoe fits nicely ,perfect for those of us who want something special but without a heal .i bought these for my sons wedding later this month ,so as yet I havnt worn them out ,but they are comfortable so I don't expect any problems .

I rarely wear heels these days and have worn my first two pairs of Gabor Ballet Flats to destruction over many years. Would recommend them to most ladies who are on their feet a lot and need a bit of comfort. Amazing value at sale price too.

I was expecting it to be slightly smaller as per the reviews, but I normally wear a 6.5 and this shoe even has a bit of space! Very comfortable and looks wonderful on the foot. The perfect work shoe! And delivered much sooner than expected!
