All that I'd expect from Fiskars. Lighter, obviously that the axe I have already. Similarly free from back vibration if I strike the back of the axe with a hammer. Makes doesn't recommend this but I still do it when splitting and it works fine so long as you don't hit so hard you spread the metal. My six year old grandson, well trained in safety and axe handling, can manage this smaller axe for splitting straight grain logs.

OK - I haven't bought an axe for many years, so followed the great reviews for the X11 by Fiskars.And I can now add my own endorsement - This is an unbelievable bit of kit which slices effortlessly through logs of up to 250mm in diameter - These are the largest I have so cannot confirm beyond this.The designer has perfectly combined weight, balance and power efficacy!! Great work!!

Very effective for splitting small to medium logs one handed.Handle is slightly too small in diameter for my big hands making holding it quite tiring after thirty minutes or so. But a good axe none the less.Too heavy for kindling though. For kindling get a lighter axe with a shorter handle.

A good length axe for powerful and accurate single-handed splitting. Not as weighty as the X27 (and nowhere near as pokey, obviously) and more grunty than the X7. All in all a nice size for logs up to around 150mm in diameter.

Really well made and perfect for splitting wood. It’s not a substitute for a super sharp little hand axe but instead a specific tool designed for splitting wood which it does very well.

This is perfect for splitting logs up for use in a wood stove. Worth spending that little extra money for a quality item such as this. It's really very satisfying to use!

Good quality axe for kindling. Top end for job but I've bought cheaper before and regretted it. Recommend if you want a good long lasting product that's easy to handle

I split a lot of hard wood over the winter months. I own two Fiskars axes of different sizes and love them both. They never jam up and don’t go blunt easily.

Used other spitting axes and mauls but this one punches above its weight.well made and balanced.the head cover is great makes ot easy to store.great axe.

I have two of these. This one and an x7 this is definitely for you if you need a small bit VERY durable axe. Very good manufacturing and well made.

I can't believe how great this axe is. I use it for chopping up kindling and have also used it to split medium sized logs which it did with ease!

Absolutely fantastic axe! Splits effortlessly and the quality is exceptional! The X22 is also fantastic for heavier work.

Well worth the money, easily splits wood that my older axe doesn't touch. The handle is very comfortable and secure.

This is a fantastic piece of kit for chopping kindling. Makes the job so much easier than using a long handled axe

The best axe I have ever used,well balanced not a lot effort to use good price would recommend to anyone.
